  1. Yeah, besides having certain abilities tied to certain styles (DW, 2h, shield), I think it'd be interesting if they also implemented abilities that work differently based on your style. In early EOC I really thought there was supposed to be some kind of triangle (shield > DW > 2h > shield etc) but I guess not. The only kind of "counter" ability I can see is really Decimate with bonus damage vs shielders. Would make for more tactical gameplay if more abilities could counter each other - eg a 2h ability that cancels reflect, a DW ability that hamstrings 2h damage output, etc.
  2. Does dual wielding offer enough abilities with higher damage output that may make it more worthwhile? Like melee has Assault and Destroy for more single target damage, while 2h has more AoE specs.
  3. hee hee hee hee hee hee I don't think people bought the pet just for the scavenging ability, though it would be funny to look out for that group's reaction to this update :P
  4. Poor you Cow :( Shoulda baked the hamster into a pie for daring to escape.
  5. Better remove my halo from the keepsake box just in case Jagex forgets to count the tickets properly a second time  Looking forward to that CW update, hopefully it doesn't change important mechanics too much.

  14. Even harder than Haunted Mine imo. Inadequacy just cuts through your armour like it's butter. Used pineapple pizzas on the first run with Darklight but the delay from eating them was too much and it just kept putting the hurt on. Beat it the second time with ddp, 2 sharks left, then flinched the next two bosses.
  15. After lighting a fire, you immediately run to the step east of the fire and light there. This allows you to start up a line in reverse, and then burning the next half of your inventory moves you westwards and back to the bank. If you pull off the timing correctly, you can light fires eastwards without breaking the firemaking tick and having the animation reload.
  16. I heard PvMDG is a good place. Mostly TIF'ers there. http://services.runescape.com/m=clan-home/clan/PvmDG
  17. Whilst 2e may not be the best gauge of sanity, she is known to be pretty efficient and appears to be training ranged through cannoning even at poop stats low ranged. Level 47 ranged should do fine especially given your accuracy bonus and slayer monsters' generally low defences.
  18. Most people don't grind to get their XP up for no reason, but because there's an item or unlock related to hitting a milestone. However, you still need that XP to get your unlock, and that's what you're training for. Whether you like it or not, that XP is important to you.
  19. I think I see what you're trying to say, but I don't agree. I've never leveled many skills for pure levels alone, which how I interpret your statement of "goal is xp". For Runecrafting alone, there were quite a number of goals I had that WERE NOT directly XP, including: Player-owned Port content (the end goal there will eventually be Seasinger Robes) Giant Pouch (from Abyssal area) Massive Pouch and other Runespan rewards. I use Wicked items along with agility clothes to make planking mahoganies easier by hot air balloon travel. I also plan to grab the greater runic staff for saving space in inventory when I need it (Dominion Tower, teleportation spells when gathering raw mats) My firemaking goals included: Inferno Adze (easier access to the Abyss while runecrafting, getting rid of logs while tree farming, although Bonfires help more now) Your goals directly require you to obtain 90 runecrafting and 92 firemaking, which means that you need to acquire XP, and therefore your goal was to obtain XP to acquire these items. Whether or not you grind for levels or for items associated with levels, your output is still XP and your goal is intrinsically tied to it. In none of your activities is XP a worthless byproduct, because you need it to obtain the level requirements for the Port and Adze. In Myr's example, combat XP is a worthless byproduct from bossing with maxed combats.
  20. It limits inventory space, it's an unnecessary extra cost, its a crowded area, the tele isn't particularly close to the bank, it's not a good spot? You use the teleport, then burn your logs, which will automatically walk you to the west bank. It's for when you don't want to run from the bank or mess with backwards firemaking.
