BETA brews reduce your stats by 4 when you drink them at 116. You can take 4 doses but then when your overload kicks back in it's back to the full boost already :P

Rocktails were almost never worth using in any bossing situation though, were they? As I understand, it was brews for bossing and rocktails for PVP, right? :P

A week long aura? You mean like a replacement for RaF? :P

To me it feels like rocktails and brews both had their uses in the live game, whereas this change to brews makes them very weak (and reduces overall healing capacity of your inventory). I don't feel like the tradeoff of making rocktails the best healing item justifies this.

That's exsactly what I thought, a choice between "1 melee item, 1 ranged item, 1 mage item, and 1 skilling item" or possibly a defence item (Shield) instead of the skilling item, as I wonder if these powerful items are the new combat system related. Given that you get the item in September, which is close to the expected combat beta ETA, I'd guess that that's possible. How game changing do you think these will be? Will it be straight-up stats, or some alternate effects that perform interesting functions?

At first I read that as kilning and fletching broads, and was like, damn, this guy's super hardcore.

Tried Soul Wars in the Beta, and it's really, really much more difficult to rush the avatar now :P Everyone's just spraying abilities there. Had 3 draws in total.

Actually what was the whole argument about again lol. Who cares about bonus XP, faster XP rates, or whatever. I'm not going to cry if people get to train Runecrafting at 2x, 3x, 10x the XP rate I used to get. I'd actually just like some new content this summer that I can look forward to. Like, something big and exciting, not four random items that are going to get thrown in randomly. An exciting new quest or a sequel to an existing one, a cavernous non-linear dungeon to explore, or a new minigame that isn't some limited time holiday event. You can keep throwing in microtransactions, but please just give me some new content that takes a sizeable amount of time to get around and explore. I'll be looking forward to the BTS in August; it can't get much thinner than what we've had in June or July. K lol for the sake of discussion let's talk about CHOOSE YOUR FATE (notice the all caps!). Do you think they'll be XP boosting items? Weapons/armour? Skilling tools? There are four of them, so you'd assume each would have some specific use.

A newspost that talks about putting a price on items being given out, handing out chunks of XP for maintaining membership, and offering a powerful item for staying subscribed. What actually happened to Summer content like quests, minigames, dungeons, whatever? I'd love to see RuneScape next summer, at this rate.

That may be true but anything is an improvement over the drawn on cartoon faces they have now. I don't know, that grimace looks even more cartoon-ish to me. The model as a whole look so much tackier than the current one.
