24-Apr-2010 - Jagex Presents... RuneFest 2010
So 80£ per ticket + plane back and forth for 2. That ends up as a total of £477 for one weekend. Thats... alot.

Interview with Lead Designer Mark Ogilvie
Wonder how they will make the first 4 hours of gameplay more exciting. A new batch of bosses for the dungeons should be cool as well.

Eh, just to clarify, this seasonal holiday just let you pick the flowers and smell them right? No side quest or anything? Or anything to unlock? Nothing at all. They get removed with the next update aswell.

Im wondering where the guild registry is. East Ardougne by the Poison Arrow Pub. There hasnt been any jagex confirmation on there being any in-game items for runefest attenders anyway.

So then I guess its all fine if jagex give out all past holiday event items every year. They dont do anything when it comes to gaining levels, pking or any other activities in RS, after all. Im not sure if i understand what exactly your point is. I never mentioned that cosmetic "useless" items should be given out for free to everyone, just because they dont enhance any of the more competitive parts of the game. If all "special" items were given out to every single player if they just asked an NPC for them, they wouldnt be special anymore, which defeats the purpose of having such items in the first place. Yeah, im just going to shut up about all this. Nothing has been confirmed anyway so this whole thing isnt going anywhere. "Useless" items arent useless for everyone. Thats kind of my point here. Some people like collecting everything, and the whole flying to england and purchasing a ticket to get one item ruins this for those people, since not all of those people have hundreds of dollars to burn. Doesnt matter if its an item like fireworks or some random hat. Il compare it to the 2006 christmas event where free players lost out on the wintumber tree, but here, the free players are those who dont go to runefest for the item. Again, nothing has been confirmed so il stop since this isnt going anywhere.

Il wait untill they announce ingame item codes for runefest before I rant about it. Microtransactions are cool, but not for 200 bloody dollars.

So I dont get an exclusive one time item because im not willing to pay 200+ dollars for a flight to england? Im all ok with micropayments, but not if they cost 200 dollars. Away from that, I feel bad for the dwarf I stole the ruby dragon from. Hes broke and selling his tools for money. :( Sure, and you are missing out on that scythe because you have never heard of the game until a few years later. At least you have control over your situation now. I wouldnt have gotten it either way since my nintendo 64 would have appealed to me more then RS Classic did back then. I still think over 200 dollars is way too much for an item. Its like saying Jagex are giving out scythe's at a convention in Australia and an entry ticket of 100 dollars is required together with money to stay in Australia that night and a 2 way plane trip.

Ok used my 82 hanky points after doing all the mini-quests for the dude. Was fun, not sure about how much the guild will be used though.

He said the depths of Ardougne, not Lumbridge. ;) There's a difference. First Update didnt go live. Feel bad for Mod Moltare on his first update. I LOVE LILY OF THE VALLEY THOUGH!

24-Apr-2010 - Jagex Presents... RuneFest 2010
Anything short of a real life dragon and 'try your own - shark fishing' and I will be disappointed. Yeah! This price is seriously not going to help me get my parents in on it. Plane ticket + about 700 nkr for ONE ticket is kinda harsh.

From RSOF, coincidence? Pictures would be lovely. :ohnoes: I'm studying for finals atm (taking a bit of a break now though!) but if its true...nice find! Off to explore after my slayer task. :P Its the smoke dungeon from Smoking Kills. :P Been there for as long as I can remember.

Now I see this: >RWT AD Picture< Im dissapointed in you, Jagex. You support gold sellers as long as they follow the rules. TBH, the RuneScape Wiki has no control over the ads.
