  1. As a new member what should I do? I have already done Lost City, nearly done Fsihing Contest, and have gotten thieving to 3. What other important things are left? I just got membership today.
  2. You don't need either of those. You can just get someone to make a bowl for you, and buy the map off of WormBrain for 10K.
  3. My main points were(for bones vs. smithing) for bones there is no trips, and the animation is a bit faster. However, there's also more clicking. And for prayer I meant it's better to use it on some other skill. When you need 30k exp for another 30 secs or whatever of protection, using a lamp isn't very worthwhile. Personally, I think the best uses for a lamp for F2P are prayer first, until you get it to 43(it platforms after there), then runecrafting until you reach whatever level you want(generally, when you can runecraft airs for profit, although you can go however far you want) and finally smithing from then on, because it saves you a lot of money.
  4. I'm F2P. I used mine on Prayer until reaching 43. Then on RuneCrafting until I could craft airs for a profit. And now I've switched over to using it on Smithing. I'll be back in a minute, I'll be just calculating the most profitable in F2P. Prayer - each bones is worth 4.5 exp at 79 gp and therefore 0.05696 exp/gp, and bbones are worth 15 exp at 368 gp and therefore 0.04 exp/gp. Runecrafting - This one is a hard one to calculate. The higher level you are, the more profit you make(obviously). Smithing - The industry average, steel, is 37.5 exp at 608 gp. That is 0.06 exp/gp. There are tow notable things here - one, burying bones is faster than smithing bars. Two, after 43 prayer, it is essentially useless in F2P.
  5. One note- for gold, tele to Fally, not walk or run.
  6. Actually, yes, good points all. Yews are the best with the main probalem being crowds(why I can't stand it).
  7. If you can do it then mining addy. However, let's look at it really. It all depends on your level. However, coal is worth around 170 each and yews are worth around 447 each. However, yews take around twice as long as coal, I believe, to obtain, and you have to wait for the tree to respawn. Your choice.
  8. Yup. And lesser's are also okay for training magic. Just be sure to use the right safe spot.
  9. Oh, sorry. So, can I get it moved?
  10. It's something I just noticed today. It requires a small investment to start off. Buy chocolate bars from Wydin's Food Shop and sell them on the GE. While this is not great money it requires no skill, is assured money, and chocolate bars sell quickly(well, the one time I sold them). This is a profit of 79 gp per bar. Try using the Lumbridge ring to speed this up.
  11. Well, actually, no, I was planning on smelting the ore. :P My plans were to smith one of the types of bars. I have tried smelting and super heating but neither of those are very good exp. I was thinking of maybe super heating iron bars. There is a 100% chance of success and I will be losing around 18 or so gp per bar(rather than buying off the GE). I will write down my thoughts and maths here(to organize them). Possibilities: Superheating and Smelting Iron Bars - Costs around 242 a bar(nature rune) - 73.6(1/5 of plate body) = 168.4 a bar. Pretty slow. This will provide 37.5 exp per bar, and cost 4.49 gp per xp. The only problem with this is that it is slow. Smithing Steel Plates from GE - Costs around 627 a bar - 240(1/5 plate body) = 387 a bar. This will provide 37.5 xp per bar and cost 10.3 gp per xp. This is quite a bit faster, though. Really these are the only two options I see. I will manage to get to level 66(507,742 xp) with the steel plates and level 69(708,750 xp) with the iron bars. However, I need to balance the time with the addy ore I could be mining at the time. So, the real question here is which is better? For mining addy I can make maybe 50k an hour if I get lucky, probably around 30k average. I personally believe that the smithing iron would be much better, but what does everyone else think?
  12. I was just wondering, would it be better to go with iron or steel? How much slower is iron?
  13. What is the best way to get my smithing up in f2p? I was thinking along the lines of either iron plate bodies, or steel plate bodies. Is there anything else? I have 62 smithing, and 1.6 mill. I can scrounge up a bit more money. I am looking to get 70 smithing, although I don't think this much money will be enough. Thanks for reading.
  14. Excuse me, but could someone explain to me WHY they took the wildy away? I just came back a little bit ago and it doesn't make that much sense to me. Also, when did they do it?
  15. This will lag just as much, if not more. No, because(I believe) it is loaded before you load the page.(if you get what I mean)
  16. Wow, there's hardly any replies to the threads about this. Anyways, it's good because the RS one lags BAD.
  17. I've got a few, although I'm not a writer or anything... He could make it longer - stretch it out, more examples, maybe branch off a bit but not too much. Pictures are great as long as there aren't too many. Actual writing techniques - I guess he could not give away the subject in his very first paragraph. It is very clearly stated. I know some people might disagree with this, but I think that the first paragraph should have built up to the second paragraph. That's pretty much all I got to say, except that the techniques didn't look that bad to me. EDIT: Oh, and the respecting others' safespots is BS. Other than that it's good.
  18. It was an okay read, but I agree it was short. The tip at the end was almost as long.
  19. I will be soon so I am also interested in this. I heard that you should do Lost City for the Dragon weapons, and maybe for the Cosmic Altar(I believe it's there). Also, if you want good creatures complete the Creature of Frenkenstrain. This is all hearsay.
  20. Then shut the hell up and don't read it. As said above, stop being annoying, bookmark your homeworld, and don't bother with anything else. Just because you dont like funorb doesn't mean everyone else does. Jagex isnt going to cater to some annoying little kid who dislikes a site when a bunch of people like it. Stop being annoying... yeah, right. So, I'm not sure if it was just me being weird, but I remember the website being called www.runescape.com. Sure, people might like FunOrb... but updates for it shouldn't be posted on the runescape site... also, I like how you call him a little kid with no solid reasoning to back this up.
  21. Smelting it wouldn't be much. Actually smithing it would be... a LOT. You could probably do a load in a minute. So, 25*60=1500 bars/ 300 platebodies an hour?
  22. Yeah - I don't think being black is a disability. Speaking of which, has anyone seen the show Boondocks?

    Mining

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but it's really been annoying me. Whenever people are competing for ore, it seems the lower mining skilled player gets the ore more often. This has worked both for and against me. For instance, I managed to be a level 70something(mining) like 10 times in a row. Adn then a lvel 54 comes in and beats my 64 mining 14/21 times. And normally getting it on the first swing, too. Not really a rant, just something on my mind.

    Powermining

Free coal! Although I was with someone yesterday who was powermining everything in the Dwarven Mines, from coal up to addy. He was going for 85, and was giving me the free stuff(stupid trade limits, they really piss me off).
