Get ATLEAST 70 range. 72 or 73 is only like 1m xp. And get 55 slayer. It doesn't take long. Depending on your def and prayer you'll be tanking (high def armour, no pray) or praying (high pray & range bonus, protect pray) Yup. 8K after hitting level 73 you hit 1m exp. I personally don't see that much difference in the levels if you're using ranging pots. Plus, you'll be gaining ranged experience while there. However, I still suggest training up as close to 70 as possible. I agree with the 55 Slayer. I did it last week, and if you cannon the Kalphites(which were over half my tasks) then it's not so bad. As for Praying, I have a setup that I use that works very well on a low budget. I'll just post my whole file because it's all useful. I got this from SSA Alex, but I modified it for my own purposes, as well as adding calculations for the B2P spell. If you can afford to fill the book then use it and trade the Zamorak Robes for Monks Robes, as they have better bonuses).

There are two bands that I HIGHLY suggest you check out for this. Dream Theater as well as Kamelot. Dream Theater is more of a normal band, and Kamelot is sort of an Epic band. In particular, March of Mephisto by Kamelot.

Well, considering that he is a self-confessed newb I think that would mainly just confuse him. I don't know if you are a member or not. I suggest getting all of your combat-oriented skills up if that character will be the one you are going to be using mainly. Cows are perfect to do this as they can pay pretty well for F2P as well. After 40 range becomes a dry arid desert of updates. At 60+ it's pretty much useless to train(there's pretty much no point, the only differences is in slight amount of damages). I personally suggest getting your defense up a good bit, as, not only do you need it for the armour, it gives all around defense bonuses, allowing you to last longer at more dangerous training spots. Most of the armour of one metal is in the proper range. I believe it is either adamant or rune. There's a small chance that it might be mithril, but I doubt that.

First of all, the point in praying is to get your prayer bonus really high. This would probably be done best with monks robes. Also, you need to find good god items for you. Personally, I use Zamarok Robe Bottoms and Monk Tops so that I get protection from Zamorak while still getting some prayer bonus. I also use the Armadyl Pendant. And, lastly, for Saradomin I use the Cowlish type of thing(costs 100k, head gear, gives slight prayer bonus). Yup. 10 on RAW fish and 5 on either coal or flax(apparently coal). Raw because it's worth more. If you want cooked just cook it.

I have recently obtained 55 Slayer, and therefore the use of Broad Bolts and Arrows. I was planning to use the Broad Bolts for Aviansies. However, I am having difficulty obtaining them, as they appear to be not on the GE. So, could someone please inform of how I am supposed to get these bolts? The one thing I've thought of so far is that I migth have to fletch them myself. I am really not looking forwards to this, and so any other ideas would be appreciated. EDIT: Ok, it appears I was searching for the wrong thing. I have found them. Could someone please lock and delete this threaD?

Actually, for me it takes a LOT more time than that. It takes me like half an hour a run. I'm VERY unorganized.

Considering that it's an 1/8th of the GE price and you supposedly make 320K an hour then 40K should be good for your first hour.

I've seen this in a few places but it's never really been described to me. Is there any point in getting Max KC other than bragging? Such as it carrying over to your next visit? And what is the max KC?

You're lucky. These guys are easy, AFKable and great experience. My favourite Slayer creatures so far(I got Bronze).

I just have one thing to add to this discussion. Most of you who have been playing for a long time have noticed that certain skills and strategies have become less worthwhile than before. The best example of this is Prayer with the Ectofunctus vs. the Gilded Altar. It's called power creep(look it up if you need a better explanation - in a few words it's just things getting better, so they have to make new updates better to make them worthwhile). Take this into mind when you are criticizing or suggesting things to Jagex. Also, try to look from their side when you suggest things. For instance, someone suggested being able to burn down full cities when you reach level 99 firemaking. However, when you think about it from their side there really is no point for them to do this. It would take them a long time to program this, or else no one would bother with it. If they did program it well, people would do it once or twice, and then be like, "hai coolzorz. whail, 99 str here i come". In a nutshell: power creep, and usefulness versus difficulty when programming.

Well, that sucks... you have to buy another one. The degrading happens every 400 or so shots if you don't pick up and reset your cannon. Try reading the Ranged Guide on the main site(look at the sub topic Cannons).

Something that has no value at all, other than on the GE. Like Gnome Robes or something. It's used to trade alongside items, in an attempt to bypass the trade-limits.

I believe there are certain monsters for certain charms, such as greens with jellies. I can't remember the Gold droppers, though. Have you tried Tears of Guthix? I've got my Summoning from 4-12 in the last 2 weeks like that.

Not really trying to be mean here, more suggestive, but waiting more than 11 minutes for a bump?(I realize you apologize, but the point remains) As a real tip, try searching the GE Database to find out which way would be the cheapest. Although I doubt this applies as much here, people don't like giving away their secrets.

That's what I've been doing(I'm going for 55 Slayer). The only problem is the Kalphites. I've got 7/15 tasks so far as Kalphites. I have tried all of my available methods(cannon, rnage, melee, both the 28s and 85s) and found them horribly slow. They're really the only thing that makes me not like Slayer(I'm fine with the other tasks, and I actually like Basilisks and Bronze Dragons).

Why would you do this though? For gold the trip to the furnace isn't that much compared to the time required to smith all of the ores. This won't be that much faster than just running there and back.
