Melee Stat Decision
I was in the same spot as you, i chose attack using the whip and was at 99 attack with 75 def and 80 str. Now im working on 99 def. It would be best to just get them all the same and train on control to get your level. But train which ever you want to train.

Slayer/range help
Melee: Black Mask/Slayer Helm Obby Cape > Legends Cape Fury > Glory Whip AntiDragon Shield Torags/Dharoks Plate Body Torags/Dharoks Plate Legs Dragon Boots Beserker Ring > Warrior Ring Bring some food, if you melee it would be better to kill the babies as you won't take as much damage. Kill some of the adults to get money. Range: Rune C'bow + Mith/Addy Bolts Archers Helm Best D'hide you have. Ava's Accumulator Snakeskin Boots Unholy Book > Book of Balance (You should safe spot) If not then just use the Antidragon Shield. Bring a teleport to bank and kill them until you have a full inventory. Go bank and come back and kill them.

Aviansies question
Wrong, it does count. But its better to have a full one over the empty one. Not to be stubborn, but I'm pretty sure it does not count. I did this a while ago, though, so... I would go try it but my book is full, but it does work. People used them and have proved them to work. It still is a zammy book, just not an unholy one.

Slayer, why you should train it, and a guide on what to do.
Turandel is Turael, Durandel is Duradel. And apparently Mazchna is a girl  . The Black Mask/Slayer Helm gives 15% to attack and Strength, not just attack. People range Wyverns because there is a safe spot so you take no damage from them at all. But it is better to melee and get the task over with. Black Demons anywhere else have pretty much the same crimson drop rate as the ones in the CT. You can also cannon them in Taverly Dungeon to make the task go by much faster. But only if you got the GP to afford it. Whip/Ancient Staff+Rune Defender is good if you can't get the a GS/SS/ZS. I never tried using the ancient staff, but with a whip i got the task done. Don't ever use bandos boots, they are over priced crap. The small prayer boost does nothing really. Just stick with the cheaper, and better dragon boots for all tasks.

the obby strength training combo
The Berserker Necklace : A Forgotten Artifact, this is the guide about using the Beserker Necklace combo.

the obby strength training combo
Whip for att/def exp, Sara Sword for str. But out of the obby weapons i say the split sword would be best. There is a guide about this combo in the AoW, i'll try to find it.

Monkfish and Cooking Gauntlets
Apparently it does help some.
-
the obby strength training combo
The beserker necklace and any of the obsidian weapons work. So yes the sword will work.

Range XP.
I don't know much about F2P, so i'll try and help the best i can. Try either ranging lesser demons or moss giants. Loads of safe spots so no need to worry to much. If not there then try the SoS, maybe find a safe spot or 2 down there. I'm not to familiar with the SoS so i don't really know whats down there. I'd just use iron or steel. Depending on how much you have and how much you can make. If you kill the first 2 you can get drops that can pay for the arrows. You could possibly try the caged lesser demon but its crowded by tons of low levels. So i'd stick with those on crandor, that's if you done dragon slayer.

Fastest way to raise Range level?
Sorry I forgot to mention that. I P2P. Ya i'd stick with the minotaurs. They drop arrows so you don't have to worry to much about ammo. Cows if you wanna kill and make some money, but its not necessary.

Is Firemaking useless as a general skill?
If you buy the logs, that just means you are 10 more gp out of the cost you put into buying the log. Now if we got magic ashes from burning magic logs, then they might be worth something but i doubt it will happen. As to what i think, it is kinda useless. It has some purposes like others have stated. If you wanna get maxed and get into the kool maxed forums you need to get 99 in this, unless they allow certain people in. The only reason i got to 81 is because i got the brawlers and i used them up. They are pretty awesome things those brawlers. And thanks to them i don't have to worry about getting some reqs for a quest.

Fastest way to raise Range level?
The best leather you can, whether its studded or not. Best bow you can use with iron arrows. Kill minotaurs in the SoS, safespot if you have to. Bring some food. It also helps if you say whether its F2P or P2P. But wither way you might get the same response.

Skillcapes - Advantageous or Disadvantageous?
Just because its buyable doesn't mean its easy. 99 fm/cook/fletch/herblore (yes even herblore)/constructions (this to) are all hard to do. Even if you have the money to buy them doesn't make them easy. Having to click over and over again to get 99 fm/herb/con is terrible imo. TBH i think 99 cook/fletch is easier then the others i listed as they can be clicked once and a whole inventory is done. However I'm still waiting for a burn-x/clean-x/mix-x/build-x before i plan on getting those 99 lol.

Training Mid-Level Melee
Cowz, srsly they be gud exp [/sarcasm] I would suggest slayer until 55 so you can use broad bolts when you train range. Once you're past 55 slayer, either continue with it or do some other grinding method. Like Armoured Zombies, or creatures in the SoS.

Quick question about SC Hammers
Did you even read the question >:o (1 line!!!) You don't get bonus exp for smelting :/ If you do, then I'm doing something wrong  Read smelting as smithing, my fault. And it should be kind of obvious. You don't use hammers to smelt...

Bored in RS -- What to do?
Do some slayer, play some MA, play some other minigame. If you got money just buy runes and ancient people. Or play SC/FoG and get free runes and ancient for free. But you get little to no exp doing it these ways. Maybe even try to PK. If all else fails, just stop playing RS? If you find it boring just do something else and take a break. It usually helps out and gets you back to wanting to play the game. I did this when i was tired of slaying and decided to skill. Then i remember how much i hate skilling and started slaying again.

Runecrafting Vs. Slayer [The Harder 99]
Coming from someone with 48 slayer -.- . If you actually get into the higher levels it does get harder and makes it harder to level. If you don't cannon it takes even longer to get levels. You tend to notice how small amounts of slayer exp you get from tasks, and tasks can take up to a few hours. I got 199 gargoyles, that was a pain to do. But different players have different playing styles. I can slay for hours and not get bored, and i can RC for 30 mins and want to tear my hair out. Now RC'ing by ZMI is kinda fun, fast exp, and i can actually tolerate it. But i much rather slay.

Slayer Setups
Well for one, you can't get a Rune Defender yet. Since both attack and strength are below 60, means you can't get into the Warriors guild as you need a combined of 130 to get in. So until then continue to use a Rune Shield or buy an Obby Shield.

Quick question about SC Hammers
Yup, they give double the exp per bar. Doesn't matter how many bars you use, you still get double the exp.

feeling down about playing rs anymore , any re-assurance?
I totally agree. I see people who sit and get ep, then go and trick and get big drops. Now some do it to make up money for training cost, or to make money while training a skill. One example is while training agility, why not make some money off of it. I use to slay on pvp worlds to get ep and then go trick, but i died to many times doing it and i just gave up.

Fastest Magic Experience
http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=196, well if this is correct it is the min in the GE. But i remember them being 210, which was also the med price at the time.

I need 83-90 range....without chins or cannon
Without using Chins or a cannon, killing aviansies seem to be the best way. To kill them though you might have to spend some money to get good gear to do so. If you don't have the money try ranging green or blue dragons and selling the hides and bones. Most people prefer to kill green drags, but you can kill either or. TBH i only got my range up by using a cannon on my slayer tasks. Other then that i rarely train it.

Fastest Magic Experience
[hide=Quote from zaaps1] STRING AMMY: But you're forgetting the price to buy the unstrung ammies. You lose money on that alone. Remember that you will have to buy them at max, but you can only sell them (strung) at minimum to the Rouge. Plus, they are currently plummeting down in price because of merch clans dumping them, making you lose even more money as their price falls. PLANKMAKE: The sell price is 1650? Wow was 1.8k just a day or two ago. Still the best option, however, by far, by far. They both take roughly the same amount of time to cast, although Plankmake is a tiny bit faster. Both of them take 1 set of runes per item (be it an ammy or log). The difference is that Plankmake isn't automatic while String Ammy is automatic. However, String Ammy is about 20k less xp per hour and also costs a lot more. It's very inefficient. I'd go with Plankmake if I only wanted a few levels, but I'd ice burst in the long run. If I didn't care about summoning and I needed a lot of levels/xp, then I'd go to string ammy. My advice: Plankmake is by far the best option. So try it for an hour or two and make sure you are maximizing your xp/hour. Then decide if you can see yourself doing to for the rest of your goal. If it's too hard (since it is a lot of clicking), you may want to opt for rock lobsters or, at worst, string ammy. NOTE: If you do string ammy, I'd wait a week or so for the price to settle to normal. Damn merchanting clans... [/hide]I thought the Rogue bought them back for the medium price on the GE?

Dragon armour.
To answer the OP: If you have the money and it won't leave a big gap in your gp, get it. It does look nice, not as nice as bandos imo, but it does look nice. Most of RS is into how things look and not how well they work when in use. [hide=The DFS vs. Rune Def]IT has been proven thousands of times that in normal training, not boss hunter or killing dragons, that the Rune Defender beats the DFS in terms of Exp/hr. Even with the increased strength of the DFS, that doesn't out weigh the increased accuracy that the Defender gives. Now when killing dragons you have to use the Antidragon shield or the DFS if you want to not die. At the DKS, the GWD, and when range tanking the DFS is great to use.[/hide]
