  1. I can craft 1100 ess per hour through the abyss. This is at 63 runecrafting...so I dont have the giant pouch. With the giant pouch, the figure will probably move up to about 1400-1500 ess per hour with the giant pouch. Which means, at 2x nats, you can make 2800-3000 nats per hour at the abyss.
  2. Hmm...well I thought about it a little bit more, and the circular motion of a whip WOULD generate a faster velocity at the tip, but it would NOT be fast enough to even come close generating a sonic boom. For tangential velocity circular motion, you need to take the radius of the circle times the angular velocity. The average man's arm is 2.5-3 feet in length. Some of the LONGEST whips are 6 feet in length. So, the radius from the shoulder to the tip of the whip would be THREE TIMES greater than the radius from the shoulder to the hand. This means that the tip of the whip will be moving three times as fast as the handle! Thats great, right? WRONG. If the whipper is able to move his hand at 100mph, that means the tip will travel at 300mph. Sounds pretty fast, right? Again...WRONG. The speed of sound is 761 mph. This means that an average man, with a 6 foot long whip, would need to move his hand at 254 miles per hour in order to generate the same whip effectiveness as the other technique would generate. I think that this would be beyond the ability of ANY human being.
  3. I agree as long as the stats havent change i couldn't care. It is still the best weapon in the game and always will be. Wishful thinking is a bad thing futurodon..very bad. Your setting your self up for disappointment. Jagex would most likely come out with new weapons which will eventually be greater than an Abyssal Whip somehow. The guy who said that the whip has to be hit in a circular motion, I just want to add on that. In Soul Calibur II that Ivy lady spins here whip constantly for that reason?- Seems so..-.- You could also watch an Indiana Jones movie and see that most people use whips in that fashion. Whipping it in a circular motion nets more kinetic energy than just flailing it back and whipping it out like a towel in the locker room. You couldn't be more wrong. Whips are made based on the conservation of energy and conservation of momentum. The extremely high velocity at the tip comes from the difference in mass between the tip and the handle. When whipping, your main focus is to move the handle at a VERY high velocity, and then completely stop the motion in the handle. This will create a wave effect, and will transfer the energy and some of the momentum up to the tip of the whip. Since there is LESS mass in the tip, there needs to be MORE velocity in the tip in order for energy to be conserved. The equation for kinetic energy is: KE=(1/2)mv^2 Since KE will always be the same as the mass decreases, it is obvious that the velocity must increase. If you use a "around the world" type motion that is shown in the new animation, you will NOT be able to do any damage with a whip. With this whipping technique, the velocity of the tip of the whip will ONLY be as fast as your arm is moving. As you may or may not know, the "cracking" sound that comes from a whip comes as a result of a miniature sonic boom. Unless you can move your arm faster than the speed of sound, a circular motion will not be effective at all. At most, minor welts will be left on BARE skin if you use this technique... When using a proper technique with an effective whip, it is very possible to shatter bones and even sever appendages. The ONLY way to get this effect is by using the motion similar to the motion of cracking a towel in the locker room. And in the future, make your comparisons to any footage of REAL whipping...not whipping seen in some movie. If you have any more questions about the physics behind a whip...be my guest. But this animation is FAR less accurate than it has ever been.
  4. A flail is more rare than the hammers. Also, high level people buy flails for a verac set effect, where as the hammers are only usefull to mid level players. Flail is in more demand, and rarer.
  5. Ouigo pl0x...
  6. The wall is going through the man in Rune...Obviously. Not a big glitch, nor does it even really matter.
  7. Wow, real important info there. Such a huge glitch...I'm glad you brought it up. I wouldn't have been able to survive without this info.
  8. The people who are really pretty upset here are the high levels with nothing left to do in the game. I, myself, was upset at first, but then I realised a few things. First of all, to do the arena, you only need high enough magic to telekinetic grab. You can use low alch and low enchant spells, without there being much of a difference at all. These are not high level spells, therefore the update shouldn't be geared towards high levels. From my new calculations, it should take about 1 Mil worth of runes to get full infinity. This was calc'ed with CRAFTING the Cosmic runes, because I can get 2x of those. I now see that this arena wasnt really meant to be a high level update. I think it is geared toward level 70-90 people. The new prices make a lot more sense.
  9. When you dream about Runescape.
  10. Yeah, the alch room is killer exp per nat. However, I can't be bothered to alch, so I get some friends of mine to do it for me. I give them 100 nats, then they give me all of the coins they get and I deposit them. They get free exp, I get easy pizzaz.
  11. http://66.235.180.101/cgi-bin/np/viewnews.cgi?newsall I found that on another post, you may find it usefull. Thats not ALL of it, but theres a lot there.
  12. It heals if ur health drops below 10%, but gives 25% back.
  13. You are really a wise person when it comes to analyzing the RS economy. By the way, do you think that the crash had anything to do with the Infinity robes? If so, what?
  14. Onyx enchant is really amazing exp down there. If ur going there for mage exp, thats the place to be. Lavas are like 50k each, as opposed to muds, which are 5m each. Better exp with a cheaper investment. If you're going there for just for exp, that is the place to be. However, I definitely want the new items. Even if they ARENT too great stat wise, they LOOK amazing. And yes, the general price of cosmics has REALLY jumped because of this update. And it is way more worth it to craft cosmics. (economically) This price hike will last untill 90% of the RS population gives up on the robes. BTW, I wouldn't count on buying the robes from people: 1. The tradeability MIGHT be a programming mistake. 2. Anyone who went through enough to get a set of robes will most likely want to hang on to them.
  15. I'm in the process of building my wands. I am getting all wands first, then probably either the book or the spell. So far I am ALMOST to the second wand. If Tip.it would like any pictures or info as I go, just PM me. Looks like a tiny stick with a leaf on it. Stats: +5 magic attack +5 magic defense
  16. Bah! Jad is reeeeaaally difficult. It stinks when you go through like a whole 2 hours of very easy fighting, then all of a sudden you're put up against the most difficult monster in the game, which requires so much attention that its ridiculous. I just died on my third trip to Jad, I've taken three runs at the fire cape and all 3 have ended at him...I almost got to the healers this time, it was actually the first time I survived the first hit from Jad...lol. I think I can pull it off next time, now that I know what the prayer switching is all about. Also...this really isn't fair to me...I have a bladder condition. :? I actually bring a bucket into my room when I'm doing the fight cave...its either that or I could put on diapers...
  17. Yes...I have to admit, I have never really even tried to PK, so I would not know how it works in the wild. Allthough, I swear I've been hit at least a 28 from an ice barrage while I protected. However, I cannot verify the use of protection prayers in the wild.
  18. ...Well...if you had read my Aberrant Specter post...you will know that this was the dumbest un-announced update ever. Stupid abberant specter doors...they killed me.
  19. K, come duel me, I will show you. Wait about 4-5 hours till i get home.
  20. What YOU are suggesting doesn't make any sense. No NPC has the ability to hit through a player's prayer. This must mean that the PVP protection prayers are counted as something different than the Player v Monster use of them. So, lets say the PVP protection prayer counts as "armor", which makes sense, since it doesn't cut the damage, or stop the damage, it just reduces the chances ecaxtly the way a ton of armor does. However, when using against a monster, it will stop ALL of the damage. This must mean that it definitely doesn't count a PVM protection prayer as "armor", but something...different....hmmm
  21. Oh...and by the way, the Verac set effect works on any NPC that has armor, as far as I know. If this is not the case, it at LEAST also works on the barrows brothers. I own them with my Verac :)
  22. Alright...as an experienced dueler, pray-er, and castle war-er, allow me to present the Myweponsgood myth-buster to misconceptions about prayer: 1. "OMG 30 with prayer on?! That means he hit a 60!!!" WRONG: The protection prayers do NOT cut the damage dealt in half. These prayers just severely lower the chances of hitting. With full Torag and a Whip, I OFTEN times hit 28s in Castle Wars on people who are using protect from melee. Now, I know for a fact that there is no possible way to hit a 56 with an Abyssal Whip. Also, with protect from magic on, I am still able to hit 20s fairly easily with Ice Blitz, while in full mage gear. If the damage was halfed, my max would become a 13. 2. "OMG Verac doesn't hit through prayer, NOOB!" WRONG: Verac set hits through the protection from Melee prayer (and also through armor, of course). ANYONE who duels (on a regular basis) with Verac set will KNOW that this one is wrong. In every duel with someone that has a Verac set, they will try to get prayer on. This is because the melee protection prayer does not have any effect on the hit chance of Verac. Also, anyone who spends a fair ammount of time at the fight pits will know that protect from melee does nothing against Verac. For anyone who doubts this, I will gladly duel you a couple of times untill you are convinced that Verac hits through prayer. Thus concludes another episode of Myth-Busters: The Myweponsgood Edition. By the way, I have used ALL of the Barrows sets in a PVP scenario, and your strategies are...well...fairly accurate I guess. Karil crossbow is much better than a crystal bow in my opinion though...
  23. Read the guide. You don't get the chart at the clocktower.
  24. No, you need higher magic and protect from melee.
  25. Theres my Barrows setup. It usually lasts me for FOUR trips before I run out of food. I usually only use one of the prayer pots, and I use the whole attack pot on 4 kills of karil. I use about 50 bloods total if I dont get them all back from the chest. 95% of the time, I get all of my deaths and chaos back. I use ancient magicks, and I glory teleport to Edgeville after each trip. I then teleport to ice mountain, recharge my prayer at monastery, and then tele to canifis pub. Best way to do Barrows in my opinion.
