I wouldn't worry about checking up on them frequently. If you're constantly worried about them becoming diseased, you're going to keep getting pulled away from your normal gameplay to check on them all the time... At the most, at least bind an Amulet of Nature to one of the herb patches; that way, if the one does become diseased, you can at least be notified and save that one. :thumbsup:

My sweet, sweet raven... :-( A terrible sadness occurred today, and I must vent my frustration and anguish with you all. On the road to 99 Woodcutting, I was blessed with receiving four (4) Raven egg nest-drops. I was elated to even have received the first, as the Raven had been my most desired of all of the pets -- much to my happiness, I ended up getting four! Slowly but surely (slowly on account of usually forgetting to unbank them...) I raised up two of them to adulthood, one a solid brown color, the other, solid black. However, my desired look still evaded me... HOWEVER!, the Gods smiled favorably upon me, and upon hatching my third Raven egg, I was overjoyed to see that it was a black-bodied, golden-beaked Raven, the best form of this animal. Again, I persisted in raising this beautiful creature to adulthood, slowly over time. Again, MUCH TO MY DELIGHT, this awesome gift reached maturity TONIGHT, April 28, 2010. I even had a friend (Iiccee <3: ) hanging out with me to celebrate the exact moment it went from 99% -> 100%. Fireworks and much joy ensued, and me and my new grown friend danced away to my POH, so it could play with its brother and sister. My OCD kicked in, and I was quite insistent upon having all of my Ravens grouped next to each other in the Pet House interface. As I already had the max amount of pets stored for that type (2 Ravens, 1 Penguin, 3 Rune guardians) it took a bit of shuffling around (and killing off one Guardian...) to get it just right. Then... TRAGEDY STRUCK. I innocently dropped my newly-hatched (black with gold beak) Raven onto the ground, and to my HORROR the adult that spawned in front of me was SOLID BLACK. I was shocked and confused, as my already existing full-black raven was behind me, and this new full-black one mutated in front of me! Thinking it just an error with the displays, I picked it up; however... the inventory icon remained the same: solid black. Still thinking I had messed up in which one I had actually dropped ("I'm tired... I must have withdrawn the solid black one all along, and the gold-beaked one is still stored...") I took a peek into my Pet House. ....a solid black Raven stored. A solid black Raven in my inventory. My beautiful new friend, with his lustrous golden beak, had died, mere moments after growing up. I am quite saddened by the terrible events that have occurred tonight. My heart is crying right now. I have submitted a Bug Report for this incident, and while I do not assume that I will get my beautiful Raven back, I hope that this issue is fixed so no one else is as heartbroken as I. I am hopeful that Raven #4 will be Gold Beak Incarnate... I love you, little Raven.... I love you. TL;DR: Jagex [bleep]ed me over.

Hi. :grin: Just a quick question that I'm hoping someone could answer for me; no one else I've spoken to is quite sure themselves. If you completely finish your Slayer task and need to get a brand new one, can you use Turael in Burthrope without it resetting your consecutive tasks count? Just to clear the air, I am NOT Burthroping it in the sense that I am getting a task from him in the middle of another one; I have not tasks lined up, and am starting from a fresh slate. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, - Serp

it's only in the tutorial i think I know, I am still curious to what does your character sounds like. You bet one day they will add voices to everyone and I am trying to get a feel to it. Jagex also released the "Instant Demo" version of the game - you can instantly create a "test" character and complete the entire Tutorial without actually creating a new account - this lets you quickly see what the characters (narrator, Sir Vant, level 2 Goblin :P, Roddeck, etc.) sound like. In particular, I loved it when the narrator yelled at me to Run! Run! Run! once you set the pillars on fire :thumbsup:

All in all, it ended up being a really fun night, although my regular pace at work was quite... slowed down. Little/teenage girls kept coming up to me and having me pose for pictures with them, so I was having to stop what I was doing like every ten minutes for a snapshot. I have a few more pictures from this night, I'll see if any are decent enough quality to post :P There was an older woman dressed up who looked EXACTLY like Professor Umbridge <3: I personally made her stop so I could photograph her, haha.
