  1. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure smoking marijuana only every now and then doesn't exactly destroy your body. Plus, if it's ingested, it takes longer to feel the effects (I think about 20 minutes) and when they hit they last longer (or at least stay in your body longer), but they're still the same effects. Someone I know used to sprinkle it in peanut butter, stick it in the microwave, and eat it with crackers to get high, so this is what he told me. Emphasis on "used to."
  2. It's all good. Lent- I am doing something about it. Something's gotta change before I get hourly BJs.
  3. Oh trust me, it won't. Being honest actually; you gotta do something to take control of it. By "falling into place" I mean "become much, much easier." That better?
  4. I'm 14, never kissed a girl, never had a girlfriend, but whatever. It'll be years until I start worrying about that. For now I'm just gonna work on improving myself, and hopefully everything else will just fall into place.
  5. Whatever makes you feel better. If you don't want to talk about it, don't. If you do, just remember this is an advice thread, and there might be someone out there who can help. You can't be the only one who's gone through this.
  6. Well, the medical marijuana is, in my opinion, a step in the right direction. But just a step. And it's probably gonna stop there. Besides, it's only for terminal illnesses like cancer and all that. Not like California where, from what I hear, you can get pot for a back ache? Lucky bastards. As for banning homosexual marriages, what the [bleep]?! I don't get it. Why does our government care that much about gay people? Just let them marry and get on with their lives. By the way, sorry for the late-ish post. Just noticed this thread. EDIT: I looked through the whole marijuana debate (at least the first two pages). I've done some research, and here's my attempt at an unbiased comparison of marijuana to alcohol/smoking. Marijuana can be PSYCHOLOGICALLY addicting (which I guess you could call a habit). Alcohol can be physically addicting (alcoholism). Nicotine IS addicting. Marijuana contains more cancer-causing substances than tobacco and alcohol. But because it's usually not addicting, you tend to receive less of that (a smoker smokes at bare minimum one cigarette per day, a marijuana smoker usually smokes the same amount every two weeks or a month, unless you're a major pothead which is bad). Impossible to overdose on marijuana unless you smoke about your body weight, and you'd probably pass out waaaaaay before that. Alcohol can kill if you have too much at once. Tobacco kills from long-term use. Not always, of course, but it doesn't help. If you use too much marijuana or tobacco, you get the whole clouded judgement, which could lead to bad judgement. Tobacco has none of that. All three can be good for emotional health if used right. Marijuana causes memory loss and lung/throat damage (if you smoke it - but brownies taste better anyway  ) among other bad side effects. Tobacco causes lung/throat damage, and the whole thing with tar in the lungs. Alcohol causes a bunch of crap, mainly destroying the liver. I could go into the economic benefits of each, but I don't feel like typing anymore. :) That's about everything I can think of right now. And some of it might be wrong. Or biased. I don't know. But my opinion is, legalize it, give it an age limit and a limit on how much you can use, like alcohol.
  7. You're right. I don't understand. But I do really hope things start looking up for you. Just hang in there, it can't be this bad forever. Anyway. I read that on MyLifeIsAverage today. Seems like a good way to ask someone out to me. Except maybe not the movies.
  8. I've been seeing a lot of that lately. A lot. Although hilarious to watch (because the reasons for arguing are SO [bleep]ING STUPID), it does get a little old after a while. This is usually how it goes from my observation: Girl accuses another of spreading a rumor. Other girl denies it. Someone gets slapped. Girls make up the next day (or sometime soon). Repeats from first stage.
  9. How would you perceive a lone person whos friendly with everyone? If he's friendly with everyone, why would he be lonely?
  10. What pattern? I don't understand... ;) Just seems like "not caring" comes up a lot here. Or maybe just not worrying.
  11. I'm starting to see a pattern here...
  12. The first part about "all the other things", I get, the rest is really hard to understand... I think it's trying to say you can show all the social value you want, but unless you actually HAVE it, women will see through it. Also, having that value boosts your confidence, and makes it hard to get rid of. Does that make sense?
  13. I don't know about the board game, but the dartboard game sounds like a really good idea for school on Monday.
  14. It was a one-day thing. I thought so.
  15. Just spending a few hours in a park seems like a good date to me. As long as it's nice out. And if it's windy, you know what to bring. So anyway, this girl (still Olives) seems a little upset with me for some reason. I think I might know why though. Today one of my friends came back to school and I hadn't seen him in two months, so instead of talking to Olives, I was catching up with him. So it might be a jealousy thing (which is good for me). Or, maybe just a one-day thing. Or something completely different. Ah, whatever. I'll figure this out.
  16. I could tell it was a dream from right when you said "for some reason the floor was slippery and I kept falling." That just doesn't happen.
  17. Do you think there's a reason for how she's acting? Did you do something? Or is it just completely random?
  18. They made up by themselves. I kinda figured that would happen.
  19. If he talks his friend down it's low value and she will see that, no need to worry about it and no need to drop to his level. And wouldn't not giving a [cabbage] about what he says display higher value too? Anyway, I'm planning on hanging out with this girl sometime. Not looking for a relationship, just some practice and a confidence boost. But I have a problem. I'd like to bring some people we're both friends with, but here's the thing. They're all mad at her for some really stupid reason. Did I mention "movie night?" Just about every other Friday night she has some people over and just watches movies all night. Well here's what happened with that. This girl (let's call her Olives) didn't want to have movie night that Friday (I think she was busy), and she told our friends that. Some time during the week they forgot and went to her house anyway. Olives explained again that they weren't having movie night, they got all pissed, and now they won't talk. So how am I going to get her to tag along somewhere if they hate each other?
  20. Do hoodies count? Because I know tons of girls that can pull them off. (Literally, if I can get them to. ;))
  21. Well, that depends on how old your sister is. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, right?
  22. BlindBaker replied to forestfrolic's topic in Off-Topic
    ...wow.
  23. I think that's kinda hot. But that's just me. I don't like girls that are too girly. Yet another flaw of that last girl. Why didn't I see this before? :wall:
  24. I live in North Jersey too, but I think I'll stay away from you two. For my own safety. ;)
  25. Well, I'm not expert at long-distance relationships (or relationships in general...) but it sounds like you're both willing to try, at least. Who knows, it might actually work. I do wish I could give some sort of advice though. :|
