14th Jan - Kalphite King
Anyone who's gone KK will tell you that the King will fire his 1hko attack multiple times per kill. This coupled with his ridiculously low number of attempts (25-30) and the fact that soloing would be far slower and so present many more opportunities to get koed all but rules out the claims of him "just getting lucky".

The "wits" he used while fighting the KK over and over until he got lucky is the same train of thought people use killing Dust Devils for a dragon chain.

The point is that he's not an especially good fighter like everyone makes him out to be, he's just good at finding exploits. Call it what you want, but making nex run around the room while he sits in a corner and takes no damage is not skill, it's merely knowledge of how the game works which anyone can accomplish. However, he actively seeks such exploits out, and since they are patched so fast, nobody gets a chance.

They're not celebrating him for being a bug busting hero, they're celebrating him for being the best monster killer. That isn't praise for being a good game tester, it's praise for "having mad skills" and accomplishing feats.

I'm pretty behind on Woox16 lore, but when was the last time he legitimately did something amazing like soloing an "unsoloable" boss? Corp? Seems like he's not all that good, merely he has an understanding with Jagex where he exploits some coding error to accomplish supposedly amazing feats, then they all congratulate him and play it up like he's some kind of rs celebrity.

Just went and tried to see if they made it so he won't 1 hit you solo. 3 hits in and he 1 hit me solo.

So Wreck3d's petition for EOC & Old Runescape Servers!
Private servers don't attract players due to being 'old skool' they do it by allowing access to 'cheats' that people can mess around with, not to mention the fact 300k+ for a single server sounds like an absurdly faked number since a server with that many people on would probably plain crash due to the amount of data being processed. Plus of course the benefit of private servers is they tend to be free, so people who can't buy rs membs go there to 'explore' The last time I heard about 2006scape it was 300k registered users. I figure they're just as made up as the 50% discontent with EoC. I don't know about anyone else, but when my Gameshark came out of the case, whatever gameboy game I was playing went back in within a half hour.

So Wreck3d's petition for EOC & Old Runescape Servers!
Except Runescape is a subscription based game and so having 300k players logged in on release day means absolutely nothing. I'd love to see the calculations he did to end up with this statement.

I still have yet to see one of these "petitions" explain how this would benefit Jagex in any way.

I don't understand this whole "stop at early region to collect scrolls" thing. Wouldn't doing fewer missions per day (only scrolls) negate any time saved by doing 4 hour scroll missions instead of 8?

They're larger than the bones on the ground which means they're closer to the camera. They're also seen at a more "side on" angle. I see a couple of flaws with you argument: 1) It's only valid IF they are the same type of bones, I said they look like big bones. 2) Even if they are atop the tree the ones on the floor infront of it are closer to the camera, since the tree top where they are moves away from the camera. Nothing in the woods drops big bones. Demons don't drop bones at all. You're saying that either against all precedent, demons now drop bones, or that big bones were intentionally dropped there rather than the fact that a known, common bug has occurred?

Chaotics
You're splitting accuracy from chance to hit monsters? Isn't that the very definition? Give me an example of where accuracy is capped please - I'm actually unaware of any thing of the sort. I am surprised that you are unaware of an accuracy cap... The Chance to hit any monster is 100% (or whatever the game designer have put in, 99%, 95%, but the exact value does not matter in this discussion), regardless of how high your 'accuracy' is, this is true in every single thing under the sun, you cannot get more than 100% chance to hit. While accuracy is very closely linked to chance to hit, it is not a direct conversion (if it was, it would mean that low level players cannot hit anything with bronze weapons due to their accuracy being so low). Thus there must exist a point in that calculation where the resulting chance to hit on the monster has reached the cap (whether that is the absolute cap or the game cap), and any further accuracy increases beyond this point serve absolutely no purpose. Accuracy is a great thing to have, but once you hit that cap, it becomes the most useless stat to upgrade thereafter. I am pretty sure that chance to hit bosses will not hit the cap anytime soon without using the very best gear, the rest of RS is a completely different matter. If one can reliably hit stuff without missing their targets for any length of time using a lower tier magical weapon, then I find absolutely no point in getting a degradeable upgrade that yields no actual upgrade. Magic is unique in this regard that the weapon only provides accuracy and attack speed, while the damage itself is determined by the spell alone, which has no tie to the weapon. Melee and ranged upgrades will always be upgrades because their damage is based on themselves rather than something outside, so even if accuracy is redundant, their damage is unaffected. Accuracy never becomes useless unless your opponent has exactly 0 defense(and as far as i'm aware, no monster in rs does), you just have diminishing returns. Given that the best combat xp is gained now by fighting higher level monsters, the accuracy will almost certainly help. The thing to consider here is rather that a one handed magic weapon will be faster, thus you will be able to land more auto-attacks. With slow weapons like 2h's and the chaotic staff, most of your damage will be done by abilities alone, thus it would be advised to use a slightly less accurate 1h staff and a book when your opponent either has low hp or low defense(~>80% accuracy), or both. That and as ascribed above about the damage part is why magic is quite different from melee and ranged in EoC(and, I might add, has a distinct advantage). As far as I know, the most effective way to use magic is ability>ability>auto>repeat. This maximizes your attack speed (both will hit at the same rate), but a staff will add 2.5x damage for every auto attack making it more effective.

I'm using both Glory & ROW in the hope that this make a positive difference. Had 7 Diamonds, 14 Saphires, 6 Emeralds & No rubies Make sure you don't skew your data. Diamonds received from glory/row are noted in the game chat (something to the effect of: "You just found a Diamond!") while Diamonds from the Gem-finding scrimshaw (and Dragonstone and Onyx) aren't reported in any form and just randomly appear. It might also be better to use Bane Ore as they're both high-leveled and have a fast cutting rate. Might be good to use a rune rock and keep hopping worlds with the Join function, just make sure you don't get reported for being a bot. -- E: Just checked my port to find the Missionary and Occultist turned up together. --- I approve of this shipping  (geddit) I assumed this was a double story mission. Is it just what they say when they have a duo resource mission when talked to in the bar?

So then random increasing crew members are completely redundant as you will always gain the max number of randoms per day?

POP Exp reward question
Eh, they are almost never worth taking. Look at it this way. Pre-maxed ports your looking going for scrolls, resources or trade goods first. Now assume your in the last region and you've got maxed port upgrades, your not going to go for resources anymore and hopefully they stop showing up, that leaves scrolls trade goods and xp. Next you max out your scrolls for everything you want/all of the items. While grabbing the occassional trade good rewards. Finish that and you've got trade goods and xp left. Now highest I've seen is 25k xp. Assuming thats in fishing it saves you 20 minutes. You make 6mil/hour (random number thats likely stupid high) thats worth 2mil. Instead you could have done a voyage for 4 plates. 25 sets of those gets you a plate body. Say that platebody sells for 250mil. Each voyage for plates is then worth 10 mil. now you still have to go get that 20 minutes of fishing xp so your at 8mil profit by choosing trade goods over xp. I'm assuming my math makes sense/is right. Nobody is going to pay anywhere near 25m/hr for marginally better armor. I would be surprised if the platebody is even 10% of that. I was thinking this as well, they will be a good fallback option if you have nothing else to do. You wouldn't be getting 2x fish xp tomes though, since whaler can't do a double mission himself. It would be 30k fish and 30k herb xp most likely.

It means that we can confirm that, at best, Solomon is a mercenary that sells access to that secret to the highest bidder, and at worst he's actively working for the vampires. His treachery knows no bounds!

I'd take 3 judges since the only missions they'll be "bad" at are the single ones. As for Tetsu helm I think it's the "eyebrows" that make it look odd.
