  1. In all likelihood the price will depend on how profitable KK is as you will "need" level 80+ armor to fight him. 1m/hr for a set isn't bad at all if KK is 4-5m/hr, and the 10m price tag I think would easily justify spending time doing ports for the people making it. The price will have to be high enough to justify using the goods to create the tradeable set instead of repairing your superior version but I think it will be a good deal for both parties. 150k Dragon Claws in restricted trade. Goooood times.
  2. 30/80/50 tradeable 40/100/60 superior
  3. Anyone else think the Death Lotus armor on npcs is horribly ugly and looks like it's from 2006 (the helmet in particular)? I hope the version we get looks better...
  4. I suppose they could spin off a tale something along the lines of the symbiotic thing in Spiderman (that turns him into Venom). The chaotics simply latch on to anything and enhance the chaos in them. (Perfectly missed oppurtunity for an awesome quest to go along with this update, to be honest...) I don't see why there'd need to be any sort of disparity between Dragon and Chaotic. In some dialogues Dragon equipment is reference as coming from Frenskae, which is where the Mahajaratt came from. If this is true then holds to reason Mahajratt folks (such as Bilrach) would likely have access to lots of dragon-equipment and could've easily fashion an attachment to add to one from the chaotic metal(?) he came across in digging Daemonheim. Isn't Chaotic material Gorgonite, just named differently to avoid confusion? And Gorgonite in turn is just normal metal twisted by magic? Besides that fact we can attach spikes, trim and bones to dragon armor, augmenting combat capabilities shouldn't be too difficult, even mortals like us can do it.
  5. What's your ranged level?
  6. Using a god or mage's book will also cause this.
  7. I don't think it's really meant to be realistic seeing as carrying 2.147b cannonballs, assuming an average weight of 20 pounds each, would be the same as carrying 410 Titanic ocean liners on your back. Stacked bow to stern this stack of over forty-two billion pounds of material would stick straight up 68 miles into the sky.
  8. Pr stunts > justice
  9. I'm also not sure if there are any insect kings to begin with, so he might not exist at all. Maybe the drop just spawns as soon as he would? Thought the same thing and I recently looked it up. Turns out termites have "kings" but I'm not sure if they're really super-boss-murder-lords like the Kalphite King is supposed to be.
  10. I'll give science a shot. Since insects breathe through tubes in their exoskeleton his continued breathing is merely a function of surface area to volume. My theory is that, as he is so large he will start to suffocate as soon as he spawns due to his respiratory system being unable to keep up, thus all I have to do is wait him out. Sciencescape!
  11. My dream is to get a captain with 4x mutinous trait.
  12. That doesn't help the basic problem, everyone will min/max until they get the best setup. We can already choose an offensive setup (2 hand) or a defensive (shield). Any offensive boosts through smithing would be attached to a 2 hander and defensive boosts to 1 handers. You missed 90% of what I said. Your talking the old model where everyone just brute forced the system for max offence. Why can't they build a system where x boss (bandos for example) is a zerker style where he pumps out massive dmg if you don't take defensive gear and another boss ie Sara that has huge defence so you need hit chance and zammy has a weakness to critical hits or something where you can grab something else. Open you mind up a bit and realize you don't need a system where brute forcing everything is the best way to do stuff. "Hurr me foot ball player me smush everything!!!!! Rawr" Why not have something like arma be a tactical boss and you need agility and movement to survive like Sara used to be. What I was getting at was that for a given boss everyone will use the same tactics more or less. Everyone will take defence gems to Bandos and crit gems to Zamorak. I don't want a system where everything is brute forced, I just didn't see a solution in your previous post. This fleshed it out a lot more though and I would love to see things like berserker bosses with low defence, the only exception being agility bosses like pre-eoc Saradomin, that was just a pain.
  13. Was trying to find a way of putting this sentiment into words but it seems you beat me to it.
  14. You'll do the same thing you do with the rest of rs, wait for updates.

  16. So...we're back to square one with everyone using Bandos/Torva and claws?
  17. I'm starting to get the feeling that this is the only way that video game writers knows how to write a religious character. More a failing on the industry as a whole than it is for Jagex. It's like, yes, every fantasy/sci-fi game for the last thirty years has had churches populated entirely with insane crusaders and nothing else, we get the message... <_< Granted, they're usually the villains, but this time he's supposed to be on your side. The hell is up with that, Jagex? Fallout 3 did have those cool guys who worshiped the atomic bomb.
  18. Eoc has been about gear from the very beginning. The most skill involved in Runescape was gear switching, and that was heavily penalized from the start.
  19. I love how they merely have to whisper "set effects" even if they already said it before, and everyone will go nuts and buy everything. This is the problem, they're trying to help people like you who genuinely lost money but instead they're stabbing you in the back. They should have just left well enough alone and let nex items come to their natural low price.
  20. 150% to prices in one half hour is Mmg's idea of a stable economy. Edit: Just realized they are fixing things like claws when we have things like Dominion Gloves which are actually high level things but suck and are almost never worth using. Even more mad now.
  21. Back to everyone running around in steroid-suits looking for best strength bonuses I guess.
  22. "Buy up some awesome gear now to avoid disappointment!" Really?
  23. Chaotic's time at the top is up. Expect more level 90 weapons outside Dungeoneering.
  24. They're only going to be replaced when you get to the hook anyway.
