Sven's Guide to RS High scores Tracking with Google Docs
AgingMiser replied to sven_bohikus's topic in General Guides
Cool. This is better if you're tracking xp over a set amount of time though, like 2 weeks or whatever. For daily xp and such, there are tracker sites like rsstats.nl & runemonkey.net that you can use, which tbh, I'd much rather prefer using. Still, cool and informative =D> -
How to use Google Docs to extract GE prices ~By Brainymidget
AgingMiser replied to brainymidget's topic in General Guides
You're supposed to replace the brackets around [cell] too. So the correct code would actually be: =IF(Isnumber(D4),D4,MID(D4,2,9)) -
Oops. Didn't know that #-o But still, I'd recommend gradually raising your mage, so mages will splash their spells on you more often. No need to put focus on this though. Also, you must've realized by now the reason you were getting ripped so much when you were 60-63 - your att:str ratio was way too low. By the time you reach 90 str though, you may consider getting 70 att for increased accuracy (Barrows weapons too) or even 75, if you have the funds to use a Godsword.
-
I'd say that by the time you get to 80 str, that you should have 43 prayer. Personally, though, I wouldn't recommend getting 40 def just yet. 20 def would be nice, but it'd epic if you stayed 1 def :P Personally, I'd say that you could get epic kills right now regardless. I have a friend who's something like... 40-78 I believe, and he's very successful just straight meleeing.

Question Regarding EP and Potential Drops
AgingMiser replied to Duke_Kaleb's topic in Help and Advice
I'll assume that by worth, you mean risk. The answer, as Jagex explicitly states, is no. This has been observed by various pkers. However, it has been confirmed by a JMod (somewhere on the RSOF, too lazy to go find it) that a certain percentage of wealth you have lost is added to kills you get. -
If this idea gets implemented, perhaps we could move quest points to the same line as where your combat level is displayed, and insert minigame scores in the space below that. Of course, an alternative is always score bars, but as you can see from the one I put up there... it's a little empty :-#

How to use Google Docs to extract GE prices ~By Brainymidget
AgingMiser replied to brainymidget's topic in General Guides
Got it. =IF(Isnumber(http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22), http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22,MID(http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22,2,9)) Alternatively, if the price change is defined in [cell], you can use =IF(Isnumber([cell]), [cell],MID([cell],2,9)) -
How to use Google Docs to extract GE prices ~By Brainymidget
AgingMiser replied to brainymidget's topic in General Guides
Lol. Only started on Google Docs when I read this guide yesterday tbh, and I found something totally awesome. If the price of an [item] is listed as ___k in the GE Database, use this code to isolate the number: =MID(Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3), 1,#)*1000 The # is equivalent to the number of digits preceding the k, plus one. Take runite ore, which is currently listed as 13.7k. There are 3 digits preceding k - 1, 3, and 7. Add 1 to that, which gives you 4, then replace the # in the code with 4. The code to isolate a number in the millions is almost identical: =MID(Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3), 1,#)*1000000 Again, the # is equivalent to the number of digits preceding the m, plus one. The code in my post above was from Thaa's post, and is a logic test - thus, in other words, a universal test that will give a correct number regardless of whether it's a k or m. I'm working on a script for price changes right now, but for some reason, the spreadsheet's functions aren't loading. When I do find the script (should be in a couple of days, a week tops) I'll post here :geek: -
One4yourhead's General Ranging Guide (F2P)
AgingMiser replied to one4yourhead's topic in General Guides
If you don't know that fleshies and spidies are good... please. At 70-80 range, the xp rate is approx. 23k-27k/hr. Def recommended for fleshies, an absolute must for spidies. -
How to use Google Docs to extract GE prices ~By Brainymidget
AgingMiser replied to brainymidget's topic in General Guides
Yeah, but... you might be scared. [hide=Open at your own risk, Thaa wasn't kidding.] =if(iferror(find("m",Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3)),false),left(Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3),find("m",Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3))-1)*1000000,if(iferror(find("k",Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3)),false),left(Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3),find("k",Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3))-1)*1000,Index(ImportHtml("http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/results.ws?query=%22[item]%22","table",2),2,3)))[/hide] -edit- Robert, try double clicking the cell first, and then pasting the code. That might help. -
The Hobgoblins at the Hobgoblin mine, in lv36 wildy drop absurd number of limps (at least in f2p they do)

Wakka's Mousekeys Guide! LEARN TO DROP TWICE AS FAST!
AgingMiser replied to wakka102's topic in Archive of Wisdom
10/10 Awesome guide, even though I've been using mousekeys for a while. Helped me fix the jump distance problem too, because my new computer's mousekeys didn't work well :-# What OS do you use? As for those people that got banned for using Mousekeys, it doesn't normally get you banned. If you don't talk or respond to people talking in some way, shape or form, you will be assumed to be macroing, especially if you're doing something repetitive like fletching or mining. Keep your Public to hide and turn Stickykeys off every now and then to chat, or you will be reported for macroing. For those who reported problems with Stickykeys, it turning off by accident, it's because you pressed two keys at once. For instance, typing @ requires you to press Shift-2. Doing so will deactivate Stickykeys, even if no modifier key's been selected. Stickykeys should be added to this guide :| -
Good guide, 9/10. Can't call it perfect because the pictures are so old :-# Update them? :
-
If you lag, yeah, it will. You'll lose at least 1 hit, during which your opponent would heal up. Better option would be cbow dds. If you don't ever lag... then go for it. It'll be hard though. :-#
-
I'm going to have to agree. At your current stats and level, f2p PvP is simply impractical. I'm going to guess that your combat is 80ish, so... get around 80 range, preferably higher, and get around 80 str too. To do well at straight melee... 85ish str. Most pures and runers will only fight you in noarm, so with those stats, you can handle them. If you get 80 range, you'll likely come out on top in armor fights because range hits a lot more easily through armor than melee.
-
Lol You Mean Barrow PKer, not pure lol, a pure is below 50def over 50def is a main. but good pker though. I thought pures were only 1 def, I'm confused :?: Technically, yes, pures are only 1 def. However, pure clans will accept people with up to 50 def, because few people like to train their stats with 1 def for so long. On topic: Yeah, your stats are already amazing lol. The only thing that you can really do besides 99 att and 94 mage are max range, mage, and hp lol. Btw, you can enchant diamond bolts and up for profit :P
-
Wouldn't you also have to switch arrows to use the dbow spec?
-
First off, it depends on what kind of attack style you want to focus on. For melee, just train all 3 melee stats up. As far as I'm aware, this is called being a main. Mains have high levels in all stats, and I've seen vids/pics of lots of amazing pking with these kinds of accounts. (They're called mains for lack of better name). You could aim to be a range tank, or in other words, obtain high def and range, so that you can completely rip through straight meleeers - do rapid 30s from far away, then use the spec and k0 when they come close. If they do start hitting on you, your def will lower their hits by a lot. Complete murder. Another option is to be a hybrid and swap between range and mage; this is used more for clanning than it is for soloing, I believe. But unless you plan to be a main, don't raise pray. Personally, I'd just go for being a main, as with those stats, that'd be the easiest to do :P
-
43 prayer for sure At your current mage lv, failcasting spells in FoG is fairly efficient. Also, I must recommend that you not stop at 70 mage, especially if you plan to get high range. If you plan to train range up, you can alch or use other non-cmb spells to train mage up. I'd recommend, in the long run, getting to 94 mage. Vengeance will give a good advantage in p2p pvp, and range/mage hybriding is fairly effective from what I've heard :P
-
Never, ever use any style except rapid to train range, especially long range. The increased accuracy given by accurate is almost nonexistent, not to mention it's slower. Longrange is only helpful it you're... *silence* Use melee to train defence. Remember though, that you should never let [A + S] > 1.5[R] (A is Attack, S is Strength, R is Ranged), so as to keep your combat range based. However, if it ever does, don't make it by too much, or else the melee pures will start giving you trouble. 60-99 with 99 range (in f2p, and p2p) is good because the difference isn't that much, and your stats will still be amazing for your combat. As for where to stop defence... I'd say 85-90, if you plan to stop at all.
-
Not really. Get 94 mage for barrages and veng. If I was you, I'd get range to around 94 too, for hybriding. And yeah, hp is too low. Get 75 hp, minimum. 65 is just being asked to get double-specced dead :ohnoes:

What should I do to make this bunny a beast?
AgingMiser replied to quiksilver's topic in Help and Advice
You obviously suffer from [developmentally delayed]. Other: thanks :) Lol yeah, he does :P Can't agree more with purewcnub. Nothing left to add, lol. -
is it possible to make this account a pker?
AgingMiser replied to infamousmeh's topic in Help and Advice
If you're p2p, then 99 att, str, and 70 pray will work fine. If you're f2p, ditch the att and pray; just get 99 str. -
Tanks aren't that bad in f2p (look at pkndemon), though admittedly, they are much, much more powerful in p2p. Personally, what I'd consider an amazing tank would be something like 60-99-70, 99 hp, 99 range/mage, and 45 pray (which would make you 99 combat). The 60 attack is there for good accuracy & ability to use corrupt for k0s. However, even though you've gotten 5 defence, you also have the option of becoming a runer, in which case you'd be like 60-99-40 (with the aforementioned stats, that'd make you 91 combat). You could get 45 defence for the rune berserker shield (for the rare occasions that you go out meleeing).
