  1. Rune mining earns me approx 300k/hr, but considering that your mining is only 60... :x :oops: Optionally, you could powermine to 70 mining and addy hop, which should be decent money. Gold mining with air teletabs, crafting airs, and fally teles would probably be excellent cash, as would yews via the same method. Or you could just train on greaters and rely on the occasional rune helm drops for money, which would be 50k/hr generally. I'd say you could get 2 rune fulls on average, 3 being lucky, with the rest coming from the coin drops & alch values of the steel items they drop.
  2. You. Are. INSANE. Mage > melee? Rofl. When I"m hybriding and in mage gear, the 80s see me and immediately run over, thinking "It's a mage, he can't hit for bleep." I swap to range gear and they book it before my bow's even equipped.
  3. It's not 270 pieces, my hands would be dead blistered by now if it was :shock: I think that one's like 8-10 pieces or something. Not sure, too lazy to go over to the box and take it out. Yes, I mean the lucky stars before you puff them out :P
  4. So one occurence is enough proof to make a statement? Hit 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 on a runer who's hitting straight 20s on you. Then multiply that by a couple hundred times. It's enough evidence for me.
  5. It does seem like revs have been given a boost, in terms of numbers or power or whatever. Used to be able to mine full invs of rune with eating just 1 swordie and anchovy pizza. Now I find myself bringing 3 of each, and 14 trout, as opposed to the 8 I used to bring. Either raising mage from 85 to 90 & def from 70 to 80 causes revs to hit higher or they've gotten updated imo.
  6. Nope, although I'd definitely support an update like that. Just to answer your question a bit more precisely, no. Protect Item can't be activated on any PvP or BH world, but in +1 BH worlds, the effect of protect item will apply whether or not you're risking, don't have 25 prayer, etc - in other words, the item that would normally be protected will be protected no matter what on a +1 world.
  7. About when Bounty Hunter minigame was replaced with BH worlds I think. Yup, exactly then. At your stats, you're going to want to use Giant Spiders in lv3 Stronghold of Security. With those att and str lvs... I'd say the xp is 35k-40k xp/hr. Alternatively, you could use fleshies in lv2 SOS, but you hit too high for that to be efficient training. The greaters in the Wilderness Volcano give me about 25k xp/hr, so you'll probably get 30k-35k/hr there. Lessers on Karamja are also decent xp, I believe.

The extreme unlikeliness of that happening is what would make eating at 23 HP (in that hypothetical situation) safing; thought it's possible, it's just not likely to happen, and to assume that by eating at 23 HP would be safing. As for the quick release for a range 2H attack, even the average PKer will be able to eat after the arrow hits before they pull out the 2H- there's enough time to react to the hit. Assuming we're talking about high levels (80+ strength/range), it's true most do keep their HP over 20 but that's because hits with scim are 21-25, meaning the amount of HP that is considered adequate will raise. Although most still follow the double-eat rule after a hit from a 2H, and their HP will only be around 25-34 at most. While that is true, that doesn't change the fact that stacking is possible in f2p. Hence, the theoretical max that an f2p range-dbaxe'er (corrupt) can hit is 54, 18-36 ;) although it takes forever to learn how to do the prayer switch & k0 weap switch fast enough to stack :oops: On-topic, include the range prayer -> str prayer switch in your guide (can be done with right-clicking str prayer, then using f1 to swap to inv, or quick-prayers).
  9. EP is "earned potential" which you pretty much have to have if you want a decent drop. The more earned potential you have, the higher the likelihood that you'll get something good. Other than that, you're pretty much set.
  10. Yeah, try to avoid training defence, but rather, level it with experience rewarded by quests like Dragon Slayer. You're definitely going to need a decent prayer level if you're going to pk in p2p (I'd recommend 43, but having never been a member, not really sure :-# ). Get 60 att to use dds's, as obby mauling won't really work for you, given the 50 att.

  14. If I had a camera, I'd post my own :lol: I luv the second icosahedron :P You can get really interesting things by linking multiple "pyramids" (the ones on each face) around a point. For instance, if you do points where 6 pyramids are linked, and links of 5 all around, you get something that looks like a tetrahedron with pyramids on all 4 faces. 4-pyramid links surrounded by links of 3 gives you something that looks like two merged cubes \ If you don't understand what I mean by link, it's sort of like a vertice of the icosahedron. When I say 4-pyramid links surrounded by 3-pyramid links, think about how pentagons are surrounded by hexagons on the soccer ball. Also, I've been experimenting with this somewhat lately. You know how making lucky stars starts, right? Make... 12 pentagons. (I think it's 12). Then loop the strips through the pentagons, you should be able to make a dodecahedron. I've managed to do it, but the ones I have are pretty fail :x You can probably pull it off \
  15. Might get flamed for this... but oh well. :roll: I agree running is a valid tactic, but about... oh, I'd say 70% to 80% of players that run around are total idiots. To quote a friend, "WTF ARE YOU DOING." I've had, in my entire time playing FoG maybe... 10 people in total that could actually run properly (one of them being a friend, of whom had a 355-game winning streak 'til I broke that :lol: ). There are two types of idiot runners. 1) Stay on the edge and walk around there. Subtype 1a) [book it to the center (or teleorb there) once your opponent finds you.] Granted, if your hunter's an idiot that doesn't know how to find his hunted with the available methods, this works. Totally inefficient if your stats are even in the 40-50 level range. The low rate of charges just isn't worth it. It's much more efficient to hug around the houses, etc. Subtype 1b) [Lead me sprinting around the arena until your run is exhausted, then book it.] (Again, works if your hunter's an idiot) To quote a friend, "WTF ARE YOU DOING." I can still hit 10s on you with range while I'm chasing you, ya know. (Even if I do run out of run energy, I have a ring that can replenish my run and I'm still going to be following you because I clicked "Attack -----") Subtype 1c) [Walk around the edge even while I'm attacking you until you die.] I have nothing to say. 2) Sprint to the edge of the arena then teleorb back to the center. 2a) [Run straight to the edge, then teleorb it once I get close.] Yeah, buy yourself 50-100 extra charges. Like that'll help. 2b) [Run to an obstacle on the edge, trap your hunter on the side away from the center, then teleorb.] You're using your brain! Finally! In short, if you're going to run, don't be an idiot about it. :wall: Annoying, because I'm a lazy bum, but hey, at least it's a viable method being used by someone with a brain.
  16. Good guide :thumbup: One thing about mining in PvP - noted items do NOT count towards risk while earning drop potential. Although the Items Lost on Death interface does recognize them, I'm positive that they don't (I remember reading this somewhere on the updates, don't remember where :-# )
  17. Forego the mage until you're p2p. In f2p, you'll splash half your spells even on full armor because of the negative bonus of your chaps. Fleshies in SOS are good, as are roach drones in SOPS.
  18. I trust that you're not basing this thread on one fight. Everyone has their crappy times and their good times. However, it has been noted among various people that if you're close to a level, it becomes harder to gain experience. Your att should be in the 80s for you to do a bit better imo; you'll definitely want a couple more HPs.

  20. It was either unstickied or deleted. It was in a recent updates sticky, when they added +1 BH worlds because of all the furor over the lack of the Prot prayer. Mod Benny (I think) explained why they'd taken out the Prot pray, and in it, also detailed that there's some sort of "potential" pot, to which value is added each time you die, and is emptied (in a manner of speaking) into the next few drops you get. (He also mentioned in this post that Jagex was working on anti-pj measures)
  21. 94 is veng. This would definitely be viable for pvp, but optionally, you might want to (not necessary) throw in some att and str lvs for dds k0s, w/e. Other than that, awesome.
  22. I agree with bongo for the most part. However, if you plan to range-2h pk, then don't train att up, and make sure that 1.5(ranged) ~ att + str so your combat is range based. I'd personally prefer this, as I believe range > melee by far in f2p, in terms of ability. Melee, although capable of hitting well in the 20s, is too slow and doesn't hit well on armor. Range hits only mid 10s, but much faster than melee and practically ignores armor. Most people will almost always be melee-based the moment they're past 90 combat though, simply because the necessary melee stats for decent k0s will trump even 99 range.
  23. Use hide tags for monsters every 10 cmb lvs, e.g. use hide tags for those that are 80-89, 90-99, etc. The list is just a little too long :shock: Otherwise, 10/10.
