Think about it...
Why don't you come back when you have something intelligent to say that isn't ludicrously inflammatory? I haven't said anything untrue, and I'm not baiting you. I'm asking for a legitimate debate on this topic. If you don't think what I said is true, then respond with a debate. I'd like to know what part of PKing takes skill, please. You get more flies with honey and with vinegar :geek: For me, it's simply because I like setting a goal and completeing it, evn though you didn't ask us a question, and claimed your opinion was right when it remains an opinion.

Think about it...
So you have 930 posts on a Runescape fansite why? Instead of being rude and claiming your opinion is CORRECT and we should realize that, how about you state your opinion, and ask us what OURS are. Maybe some people like Runescape for the very reasons you point out!

Good clue reward? Post it here!
The only reason I'm posting this is because it's the first non-FL or Candy TT item I've had in +10 clue scrolls. It's onl yworht 50K, and is going in the costume room. Here's the story. I get this on the second to last drop of my waterfiend task. The clue is a Co-ord in the wilderness., near the Chaos Dwarves east of the Corp Beast Lair. I finsih it with ease, and the next clue is a another clue in the wilderness (not co-ord or uri) I have to dig in the Cemetary near Clan Wars, under that crossbow. The next clue is a Uri.... in the Zamorak Temple IN THE WILDERNESS. It was the only time I saw revs during the clue, a goblin and a vampire that couldn't attack me. I finish and... another co-ord in the wildy! Still low leveled (east of Clan Wars) So I finish and the next clue is in, dun dun dun, that's right, ENTRANA! So I go there, and find out Karmaja gloves aren't allowed, so I run to and from Draynor to bank them. The next clue is is "dig-here" in the high level member's section OF THE WILDERNESS, with the three craters west of Mage arena. I finsih it, still no revs, and the last clue is... talk to Cam the Camel, who promptly gave me a puzzle, which I solved in two minutes, and give me this 125k clue. Best in awhile, but still [cabbage] for what it took.... I still do every one I get, though.

Saru's Blog - Back? Maybe? Idk lol got an Araxxi Web drop
3 years accelerated in science... must, resist, urge, to correct! BLAAAARGH not working! Well gosh, no wonder your teacher is in pysch and not astronomy, he utterly failed at one of its foundational theories! So many errors, it also makes me want to rip my eyes out. 1. It is not currently known what was before the Big Bang. One theory suggests that the total amount of matter in the universe is 0, and there is one "anti" particle for every "positive" particle, or virtual particles or something. Major theoretical sciences, only dwelled a couple hours into it. The hypothesis I adhere to (at least until good evidence comes out to either support another hypothesis or discredit this one) is that, through gravity and other forces, the universe continuously expands and contracts, compressing into a singularity and then expanding again. The pre-bang universe is still widely unknown, however most cosmologists agree that, eventually, the universe will be dominated by massive super-black holes, which doesnt take make imagination to assume will eventually merge and warp the universe into a singularity through the unbelievably huge amount of mass (like how special relativity says space bends in the presence of matter). 2. Helium? Nitrogen? Where'd the hydrogen go? That's the simplest atom there is, and helium is generated by the nuclear fission of hydrogen. And what the hell is atomic dust? But that's all irrelevant. The singularity is not composed of any atom, but as a Rice-Krispyesque conglomerate of the universe's smallest particles (currently known as quarks, but quarks themselves might also be composed of even smaller particles). An atom is mostly comprised of empty space. There's a nucleus, and a number of orbiting electrons. Electrons are so incredibly (ultra-super-incredibly) tiny that their mass is zero when used in calculations. To put the amount of empty space in perspective, imagine you have an atom the size of a superdome. The nucleus would be about the size of a grain of dust (give or take a few analogy-errors). But the point is atoms are very, very empty. So it makes sense that some incredible amount of power or force (such as gravity) could render them into smaller particles, thus vastly reducing their size. And something with the mass of the universe? It could tear those protons apart, reducing the size even more, and reducing the size more. Atoms simply couldn't exist when a singularity does... 3. It wasn't a Bang, it was a rapid expansion of space and time. We aren't talking about just matter here, this is the entirety of the universe. The fabric of space has basically been rolled up into a ball. There wasn't any explosion. 4. There still arent any atoms! That takes millions of years before the strong and weak atomic forces form some. And there won't be any helium, nitrogen, or whatever this "atomic dust" is for awhile. First, after atoms are formed, they must be attracted through gravity. After a few join up, their accumulative mass is increased, which attracts more atoms, which increases the mass, and so on. Elementary students know that when you increase the pressure of something, it gets hotter, which means the particles are vibrating faster. Eventually, you'll get a big, hot, dense cloud of hydrogen. It gets so hot, that the atoms collide with each other and share their protons, electrons, etc. and you get helium. This is called nuclear fission. Fission gives off a lot of energy, which makes more vibration, which makes more fission, etc, etc, etc, until.. SHAZAAAM! (or at least that's probably what it sounded like (kidding)) a star is formed. Once fission first starts, in only takes a few seconds. Stars are crucial for a young universe, as they are massive powerhouses for making the higher elements (up to iron). Stars on their deathbeds (i.e. running low on hydrogen) will start to fuse helium, which makes other, higher elements. When a star finally runs out of energy to sustain the battle between heat expansion (from the core) and its own gravity, it'll die. Some of the more massive stars will explode, and THAT'S when supernova's happen, several billion years after your teacher said they do! 5. I think your teacher is failing to describe accretion. That when the higher elements flung out from the deaths of stars start to "attach" themselves together (through gravity) in order to form planets, asteroids, meteors, and other things. Most of these things find themselves orbiting a star (the shockwave from a supernova-the most massive explosions in the universe-can compress clouds of hydrogen, forming a factory for stars, called a nebula. Which is why these planets, rocks and whatevers are orbiting them, since they formed near them). 6. Trillions? Try a fraction of that, a bit over 14.6 billion since expansion started. I could go into the origin of life, evolution and the evolution of humans, but I'm fairly sure I'm very off-topic here in a Runescape blog :) 7. Yes, I wouldn't trust him to explain what happens when you let go of a rock in the air, but that's no reason to base your opinion on "big bang people" on his crude explanation. "big bang people" are scientists who observed the evidence and came up with a hypothesis, tested said hypothesis, and found that it fit the available facts. The Big Bang theory is constantly getting revised and updated, but the main tenet-that the universe was once in a singularity, and then start expanding-goes unchallenged by most cosmologists. EDIT: Gosh, over 850 words. I can hardly manage that when doing essays

:wall: Arguing on the internet=/=getting sued. That's about as bad as this forum's constant use as the word troll to label everyone they disagree with, or comparing Jagex to the KBG. Don't be condescending. I don't think he's ruining the game, but I'd like to see what '10 has to offer... Who give's a rat's [wagon] about RSOF? They're mostly a lol-source for this forum. And my statement was inaccurate on purpose (I don't know). He's wildly more popular than Andrew was, I thought Andrew was a bit of a douchebag. I'd wait it out will '10, until this "upgrade" year is over (but I don't think this year is that bad, people are just over-blowing it).

Cross Out Cross Advertising
Who said it's not working as planned? WoW has millions of members, but they still advertise. Have you been watching too many Mac commercials? They're not very reliable, you know. As I write this, I have 4 Vista patches in my Window's Updates Queue (sp). I'll download them when I'm fine with my computer restarting. That was and ad campaign :wall: Huh? Steel Sentinels recently came out, KickAbout Leauge also came out awhile ago and is very popular. Arcanists, their most popular game, is reciveing regular bug fixes, had a load of new achivements added a few months ago, and nerfed a very powerful spell that required little set-up (Conductor Rod). Just because they're advertising too doesn't mean they're not doing anything :wall: WoW also advertises (on tip.it even!). Does that mean they're doing poorly? Yah I agree. But it doesn't justify whining about something so incredibly trivial.

Just how rarely do these things drop these? Oh, and the 84 att+def in the box is noteworthy too. EDIT: Oh, and it would've been good if that "Pouch is too big thing" was gone, and it was just- "Bang-bang good!" You have advanced an attack level! You have advanced a defence level!"

And you still haven't realized that IT IS UNHEALTHY TO ACTIVELY SEEK OUT THINGS TO WHINE ABOUT. Tell me, what is wrong about Jagex advertising their less succesful site on their more succesful site? I perosnally love it, and think a great many of the games are very high quality. Especially Miner Disturbance, one of my favrites. Orb Defence is, in my opinion, THE best turret game by far. I also love Arcanists, I'm highly ranked there... AoG is too slow for me, and never have tried KAL. You can play for free here too, just with less features than the full. Also, as I can see, Jagex takes classic games, and re-vamps them. Many have been done before, but these games have exceptional quality. That's completely your opinion. I think AoG is boring too. Pet Peeves are trivial BY DEFINITION. *Ignores omali stuff. Learn what the definition of troll is* He said you have an attitude problem, not omali. And omali's not upset, it seems he and many others are sick of people on this board whining over ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL. Huh? So what? It doesn;t change the fact that you are whining OVER NOTHING. This simply isn;t worth griping about! It's absolutely trivial! It brings in over $10m a year. And so what if the small costs it takes to run could be put towards Runescape? You'll still complain about whatever different updates Runescape gets. That sounds unhealthy. Again, take a chill pill. See my above post. Again, learn what a troll is. And gold, diamonds, silver, and Anderson Cooper's hair are precious, not Jagex. Don't be condescending.

Why do people act like this?
Because a very good portion, quite possibly a majority, of the Earth's population is ignorant, stupid, and bigoted. This problem increases exponentially when you add the internet, as then the stupid people can be more vocal.

Cross Out Cross Advertising
Why shouldn't they? A large number of people play Runescape, and they'll see the ad. If anyone subscribes to Funorb from seeing the ad, Jagex made a good choice in putting it there BECAUSE IT PROFITS THEM. They're a business, you know. RS news was not replaced, the ad was released a day after their QA Q&A. You get pissed because (what omali said). Seriously, take a chill pill. It's you're choice whether or not to open it. A RATIONAL person would say "Oh look, Jagex is advertising to their +5m Runescape players to go and try Funorb, a potentially profitable move. I'll pass on opening that link/I'd like to see what they say/What's Funorb? I guess I'll go find out. But no, you [bleep] about it for whatever reason. Please explain why a RS news post about Funorb bugs you so, I'd really like to know. Please note that opening the post is optional. According to the Arcanist highscore table, there are 109k members. Other than your annoying [bleep]ing, what reason does Jagex NOT have to advertise one of their game sites on their more succesful game sites? Again, nothing was replaced, the Funorb thing was simply "added". And more people will see that add than people who will go to jagex.com. That's because you actively seek things out to whine over. I love you.

WoW cataclysm and RuneScape
I don't think adding incredibly strong armor or weapons is that good an idea.... most PvP duels already only last a few seconds, we don't want to make them so fast no-one can respond quickly enough. There's only 99 hp possible, you know.

WoW cataclysm and RuneScape
For Runescape to be on par with WoW, some of Jagex's core philosophies might have to change. RS is already a great game as it is, and it has many superiorites over WoW (devastatingly more available as a browser-based game, no massive downloads and no software purchases from a store. Far cheaper, 100% free if you are F2P (and that doesn't expire)). RS has simpler gameplay. I disagree with some of Blizzard's practices (advertising on TV?? LOL). For graphics, High Detail is, in my opinion, on par with WoW's, and is still easier to obtain. Jagex has put in many, many security measures for the prevention of getting hacked, so I don't think the CS oh that is too unreasonable. As for reimbursing items lost from glitches, I'm not sure. I don't think it's very wise to carry around a [cabbage]load of money after an update, but it is Jagex's fault.... oh well. Some updates I think Jagex should implement would, in my opinion, please many people who think WoW>RS. For starters, ways to make less "crunching". Maybe mini-boss monsters. Single way combat (except for familiars, if that's possible) that give a lot of EXP upon defeat, with none-too-shabby drops as well. Really hard monsters, where you have a good chance of dying if you're even slightly unprepared. Jagex should also make haste for getting Runescape onto a Nintendo DS or a PSP. That would GREATLY increase revenue, fact. Implementing a way to play on your current brower-based character (WHILE LINKED TO WI-FI) would make many, many people buy such a product. Even your console-based character to be inputed onto the browser game (but to avoid advantages, maybe have EXP slashed, as there wouldn't be competition for monsters, ores, trees and the like). Having your console-based character be able to buy things from the GE would also boost RS's economy (and halt this run-away inflation). And make sure it wouldn't be a crap game like Age of Empires to AoE on DS was.. Jagex boasts on having little requirments to run their game. This would be a kick in the [wagon] for other game competitors. And Jagex's focus on quantity over quality needs to be changed. Jagex should have 1-2 updates a month, but fulfilling updates that are high quality, not easy quests or anything like that. I don't care how mcuh people whine about the decrease in updates, this seriosuly needs to change.

Draco's Cool Suggestions (AMG UPDATED!)
You misunderstand. This does not give additional inventory spots. This is, in a nutshell, a way to withdraw selected items quickly. Instead of having to spend 1-2 minutes at a bank, withdrawing stuff, making sure you have everything, etc. you can do it all in one click. Good for multi-taskers (i.e. farming, MTK, and slaying all at the same time.)

Draco's Cool Suggestions (AMG UPDATED!)
-A warning message on incense burners, alerting everybody in the chapel when they have 30, 10, and 5 seconds before burning out. -Ability to sleep in your bed. You can choose two options. You can take a quick nap, which will restore your run energy and all your hitpoints, or you can go to sleep. While sleeping, you will fight a random boss monster from a quest YOU HAVE COMPLETED. If you defeat it, you will receive some combat exp. The experience you receive depends on what bed you sleep in. If you die, you will simply wake up. In either case, you will wake up with your HP and energy restored. Nap can be used as often as you want, and sleeping can only be done once a day, of course. You cannot use someone else's bed. -With the new pet place and the above suggestion (which will cause people to build a bedroom), the room limit should be raised. -I new option for random event gifts, puzzle reward. Choosing this option will put either a note with a word problem (i.e. riddle with multiple choices, anagram), one of those slidey puzzles from treasure trails, a Rubik's Cube 2, 3,4, or 5, a pyraminx, a Tower of Hanoi, or anything else Jagex wants to add. Instructions will appear in your panel. Once you think you've solved the puzzle, press a submit button, and if you're wrong, the puzzle will be destroyed and you'll get no reward. If you're right, you'll either get a genie lamp (level*100exp=exp points (50%), 20k-50k cash (20%), gem (inducing dragonstone)(10%), half key (10%), rune plate (1%), rune legs (1%), rune full helm (1%), rune kiteshield (1%), dragon med (1%), 10-20 noted herbs (above harlander)(1%), or amulet of glory (1%), or crap items (garlic and such)(2%). -A bag, bought from a banker, to fill your inventory with set items automatically. The bags will be available for 1k. For example, for farming, you can put seeds, teleports (runes, jewelry, ecotphial, etc.), coins for travel, farming tools, and whatever else. The bag will appear as one item in the bank, but will STILL COUNT AS THE SAME NUMBER OF ITEMS. Items can be put in by using them on the bag. Up to 27 items can be put in (stacked counts as one item). When getting the bag from the bank, the contents will spill into the inventory (in whatever order), and the bag will appear too. "Bagged" items will have a gold background. Bagged items cannot be banked alone, they must either be "detached" from the bag, or the bag must be stored (which banks all bagged items). Items can be detached by right clicking them and selecting detach. The bag was a detach all option, as well as a check items option to list the items attached to it. You can only have 3 bags at any time. JAGEX, IF YOU IMPLEMENT THIS, REMEMBER SATCHELS!!! Satchels being stored in bags would probably cause a number of bugs. As well as those Thanksgiving horn thingys. Or rune essence pouches. -A new potion, requiring 70 herblore, a dwarf weed (or any herb, what makes sense), some crushed bones (use bones with pestle and mortar), and chicken blood (use a raw chicken with, I don't know, a knife? A P&M?). You do not "drink" this potion, but instead you "lather" it on your hands and armor. The effect is that any monster 20 levels or below will automatically be aggressive to you. This effect lasts ten minutes. ANY and ALL monsters (except for certain quest ones, not sure if that would cause any problems), including ones that are aggressive if you're under twice its level, ones that are not aggressive ever (like the bloodvelds I'm killing as I write this), and, well, you get it. This would be a godsend for many people who train slayer (such as myself). If there is more than one person with this effect, the newly aggressive monsters have the same AI as normally aggressive monsters. -REDUCE THE SIZE OF WATERFIEND'S CLICK AREA!!! Seriously, you can click at the edge of the square NEXT to it and you will still attack it. I've noticed that when a Waterfiend curls up (its defense animation) it can briefly be attacked by clicking TWO SQUARES AWAY FROM IT. There are many Waterfiends, so.... this is especially annoying when you're drinking a potion or eating, or anything else that interrupts combat, because you can easily have several options for attack, and you don't know which one. I kill them by range-safespotting, I can only kill one spawn (not as slow as it sounds, I go to populated worlds), and I attack one next to it, it screws it all up, and I have to put on Range Prayer and waste some prayer points... -LUNAR ISLAND TELEPORT IN HOUSE. Seriously, we already have Canifis, from another book, why not this one? Going to this island is a pain, and the lunar spellbook is awesome, but doesn't have things like alchemy or many of the teleports, so the quick access would be great. For guests in your house who don't have access to the island, you could just say "mystical forces prevent you from entering the portal" or something like that. -Add ranging bonuses to Chompy Hats. These take a ton of effort for very little reward. At least make them something worth doing. I'm not sure what everything in between would be, but make the first hat +1 to ranging, and the 5-feathered gold one +15 to ranging. No other bonuses. This thread will be updated whenever I get a new idea I think is worthy. Illustrations are highly appreciated. Enjoy!

[DevBlog] Trust Us, We're QA
Ranting about the number of bugs is also counter-productive. There is simply LITTLE THEY CAN DO. Thousands of players all accessing a single feature at once will cause bugs that are impossible to reproduce under the environment that the QA team can work under. And the volume of bugs is GREATLY over stated, in my opinion. The most recent construction update had around 5-7 bugs, NONE of which were serious. Oh boo hoo, it takes several clicks to do something/access in my house. Oh sob, our Bandos tactics have to be temporarily changed, with no aggressive familiars. Just because there are a few notieable bugs does NOT mean the QA team is doing a bad job. Thanks to them, there are tons of bugs which never see the light of day in each update. I think they are doing a great job, especially given the complexity of the game's code, their time contraints, and they environment they can possibly work under. EDIT: Also, you have to give Jagex some credit for their haste at fixing bugs spotted by players. Majority of bugs spotted by players are fixed within a couple hours. And just a note. If you're worried about game-ending bugs (like logging off during MA tutorial and losing your inventory), then for a couple days after the update, BE CAREFUL. Don't carry 350m freaking GP's worth of items when you access a newly released feature. Carry little wealth, that way if you lose it you don't freak out and quit, but you can easily continue with your reamining wealth and tell Jagex about the bug. Everyone wins. There's simply no reason to have that much wealth on you at ANY time (unless it's all contained in one item, our you're selling stuff).
