  1. In all honesty, no skill is "hard to level". Some just take more time and devotion than others. But tedious, yes there are a few of those. I can't really singel out just 1 of them. When i think about a tedious skill i think of something thats slow or click intensive. So i would have to go with RuneCrafting as you can get a Max exp of about 45k an hour(even though this is not as click intensive). Then Hunter and Mining would also be 2 very tedious skills as both of them require alot of clicking and concentration. Skills like smithing, constuction and herblore are also "hard to level" due to the high costs related to them. And ofcoure, i find FireMaking hard to level. It does, after all, require alot of clicking.
  2. You need to stand on the Portal and "operate" Jenica's Ring. If you are doing this and its still not working then im lost.
  3. Okay well i want to get in before all the "Z0mg its the 76k'ers" spammers. Its just natural inflation. its going to keep rising (till 85m i would imagine, maybe more) then it WILL start dropping. i suggest you hold on to it for a week or two more. It wont be hard to spot the start of the crash as GS's will start rising by less every day and eventually it will start dropping. Just make sure you sell it once it stops rising by atleast 20% of what it did the previous day.
  4. Closer to: 30 gold 20 green 20 crimson 30-35 blue 80-90k xp hour at 99 range. Yeah i couldnt really remember, but i wasnt toooo far off :) Anyway if im not mistaking this is the best mothod when using ranged.
  5. I am a victim of stupidity :( Changed my name to Dex 4 Lady H (just for the luls ofcourse) and shorty after i did so i came to realise that the date on which i am able to change my name back to the beauty that it is, i may not have access to the interwebz. Good Fight?
  6. Teaks arent too bad either. With the new Special Log you get, you can profit greatly from them. I make about 150k an hour (could be alot more). Also mahogany at your level should be much better option. The exp should be around 50k - 55k and the money should be aound 250k - 300k an hour.
  7. To be honest if you are serious about getting 99 then Yews will become very boring ( you will see what i mean once you've done over 10k yews). If its exp + money you are after then you should go with Teak and switch to Mahogany at lvl 95. Anyway, to get back to your question. D Harchet IS worth it. Ive noticed a big difference in speed since i got mine. Oh also, if you feel like doing some AFk WC'ing then Ivy is your best friend.
  8. Ummm, i'm not 100% sure on the name but its something like Waliskies. Anyway ill just call them Wallies. If you cannon them while ranging them and Praying Mage proftec you can get upto 35 blue, 35 crimsons and 120k ranged exp an hour (with 99 ranged). I believe this is one of the best wait of collecting charms while ranging. If you want the guide to it ill post a link.
  9. Dude, check your statistics please. Its about 1.1mil "cash return" per hour of which only about 400k is profit. You need to spend about 700k on enough supplies for an hour and that 700k will turn into 1.1mil. That means you dont get 1.1m Profit, you only get 400k profit.
  10. Wrong. Personally I recorded an average of 57.2k mining xp per hour with the gold at level 80. Granted, that is with the use of a dragon pickaxe and pak yak, but I seriously doubt that either of those could create a jump from 25k to 57k xp in an hour. Also 70k+? For who? I know that I personally will never be mining and dropping that fast, and I'm fairly certain that that follows for most people. The gold trees on the other hand require minimal attention to achieve maximum efficiency. Also, that 57kish xp per hour comes along with over 400k in profit(for now). So if you would prefer to gain 13kish xp per hour at the expense of your hand and around 400k coins, then yes by all means mine granite all the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl4DMCk_7mQ It's not how fast you drop, it's WHEN you drop. Using that method is really hard though. Its going to make getting 99 a drag :/
  11. You could give Aviansies a try. They are fun and proffitable with a decent Drop Rate.
  12. I never really got the hang of granite. Best i got was arounf 40k exp an hour, so i think i will go with Concentrated ores. Then, should i start on coal once i hit 77 or should i wait for 80 to do Gold? Also, should i go ahead and get the varrock armour 2? will it make a big difference?
  13. The shield is a hard one to decide on. BSS (i think) the only shield that gives a beast ranged def bonus while not giving aa negetive mage Attack bonus. Since you are going to use a Master Wand i would lean towards the BSS/SS simply for its defence bonus. as for everything else, it sounds good to me. You have 99Def and an E E so this should minimize you eating factor. If you do however decide to go for the Mages book instead of Bss/SS then i would suggest a SkillCape to even out the Defence/attack bonus. Also, try this out for 1k casts before you go ahead and spend all your money on Runes. Luck differs from play to player and as i said, you only profit with a good drop rate (keep in mind i wrot this guide before rune prices shot up, i might have to update the guide). And the EXP rates i mention in the guide is based on the results i got. And when i got them 1 was paying 100% attention to what i was doing. Obviously to achieve the same kind of result as i did you are going to have to do the same. Best of luck. Let me know what the result is please :)
  14. Can you explain superheating, string jewelry is a no, gold amulets are unbuyable, and anything else is insanely expensive. I have also looked at your guide probably over 20 times in the past month alone wondering how it can make money. If the drop rate is 1/4, that means you get 1 bar / aviansie (roughly). That means you'd have to kill each one in around 4 shots to make money, you'd also have to factor in b2p tabs and barrows repairs. I just don't see how it's profitable, unless I'm missing something? You forget the fact that they drop Alchables aswell as Water/Air Runes oftern. I also pick up feathers and Death runes and in the end i always make Profit. But yes, using barrows will end up in a Small loss that is why i suggest using Mage Void. Not only does it have a better Def, it also does not degrade. If you dont mind about a possible loss of about 4 mil on your way to 99 then Earth Waving them is the way to go. Anyway as for superheating. I have heard that this can get upto 75k exp an hour if you superheat Iron Ore. This also does not cost alot. Last time i checked it was 2gp/exp. There is also the Alch-Superheat which can get upto 130k exp an hour if done right. (Basically you Superheat an Iron ore and in mid animation you Alch. This will allow you to do 2 Casts at the speed of one meaning you get alot of EXP). I know I can probably just look on your guide, but I'm going to ask here anyways. What setup should I use for maging them, and an inventory? Note that I have a 23m cash pile to spend on supplies/gear, I also have an enhanced Excalibur, and 22 hand cannons that I will sell when I can (there from drops). And lastly, why earth wave instead of fire wave? If youre going to use Ahrims i would suggest the following: Ahrims top and Bottom Verac/Dh/Guth/Torags Helm BSS/Normal SS God Cape/ Trimmed Skillcape (If you are going to use Claws of Guthix + Charge then make sure you wear a Guthix Cape) Infinity/Mystic Boots Barrows Gloves Armadyl Pendant( Only use this until the Aviansies go unagressive then switch to a Fury). Seers Ring/Any other Ring Mages Book/Zammy Book Master Wand/ Lava Staff(This will allow toy to use the same staff for alching the Drops). [if you're going to use Claws of Guthix, use Void Mace] If you are going to use Void Full Void Bss/Normal SS Armadyl Pendant( Only use this until the Aviansies go unagressive then switch to a Fury). God Cape/Trimmed Skillcape (If you are going to use Claws of Guthix + Charge then make sure you wear a Guthix Cape). Infinity/Mystic Boots Mages Book/Zammy Book Master Wand/ Lava Staff(This will allow toy to use the same staff for alching the Drops). [if you're going to use Claws of Guthix, use Void Mace] If you have a Saradomin or Zamorak God Bird take it along as it counts towards a God Item. For inventory i would suggest a few B2P tabs, 100Nats, a few Sharks (I managed to Tank Mage them for a 600KC on 12 sharks while makeing a 100k Profit), E E and if you want take 1 of each item you intend to pick up as a place holder. I would really suggest that you use one of the 10% Damage Bonus Staffs. The extra damage done makes up for the extra runes used. Okay and why Earth Blast? I dont know to be honest. I just found it works better than any other spell. I dont know if its meant to be like that or if its just luck but ive used over 5k casts of each elemental spell and ive found that with earth blast i never splash and my hits are high and constant.

  16. Hoping for a hilt is not smart. Its going to take ages getting one unless you have extreme luck. Looks like youve covered all the usuall bases for Mage Training though. Maging aviansies isnt too bad. Its fun, better than alching (exp wise) and it makes you a small profit in the end. You could also try Superheating or string jewelry?
  17. [hide] [/hide]I saw a level 35 with a BGS at w2 Grand Exchange a few days ago. I think that is about the lowest you can go.
  18. As one of my current Longterm Goals is to reach 99 Mining i want to do it as efficient as possible. At the moment im doing Piscatoris Iron + Banking. I will do this till 77 or 80. Im not sure if i should switch to Concentrated Coal at 77? Will i be able to have access to the Bank in the Rock Cavern at 77 Mining? Should i just wait till i get till 80 to start mining there? Also, what is the CC for Star Hunting? This will help me a great deal with my Goal. One Last thing. Since Varrock Armour gives the chance of mining Multiple Ores, should i spend some time on getting it? Should i get upto Varrock Armour 3? Or will Varrcok Armour 2 be good enough? Does this make a noticable change in mining speed? Thank you.
  19. Slaytanicc's Iron Mining + Banking Guide Welcome to my first attempt at a skill related Guide. I've never been a big fan of Mining. Its one of the slower skills and training it efficiently never ends up in a money maker...or does it? As i am sure allot of you know, there is one way (amongst others) to train Mining at a decent Exp Rate while also making some money. This method however is focussed on the player with a lower Mining Level. This method is the Piscatoris - Castle Wars Method. Hope you enjoy the guide. Let me know what you think. [hide=Requirements]You must have at least 15 Mining to be able to mine Iron (However i would not suggest this method until you can at least use a Rune Pickaxe). You must have a Summoning Level of at least 57 to be able to Summon a Spirit Kyatt (I would suggest that you have at least a stock of 10 in your bank). You must have a at least 1 Duelling Ring (i would suggest that you have a stock of about 50 in your bank). Just to make things fun you can wear a nice Skilling Outfit :) The items with red around them are the items you MUST have to use this method: [/hide] [hide=Location]The location you will be using (as mentioned above) will be the Piscatoris Mining Site. There are three Iron Rocks there places in the perfect position to form a spin rotation as you mine them. Getting to Piscatoris quickly is pretty hard unless you have a Spirit Kyatt pouch: This familiar has a "Teleport" option that will teleport you just a few yards South West of the mining spot: [ [/hide] [hide=Method]Now we get to the method itself. Since the 3 Iron Rocks are placed so perfectly, you are ably to mine them in a spinning rotation without having to move one squar. Below is an illustration of what to do: Start by mining Rock 1, immediately after you get the ore move onto Rock 2 and as soon as you get the second ore move onto Rock 3. The respawn will take a few second (Respawn time depends on the population of the world you are in). Once the first rock respawns start the cycle again. Repeat this until you have a full inventory and then proceed to bank.[/hide] [hide=Banking]So far everything has been pretty much the same as Power Mining. But this is where it changes. Once you have a full inventory of Iron Ore you are going to use the Ring of Duelling that you should have equipped to go to the fastest accessible bank. This would be Castle Wars bank since it is a 1-Click Bank. Bank all your items. After banking your mined Iron Ore, click on your Spirit Kyatt an select the "Teleport" option to take you back to Piscatoris (as shown above).[/hide] [hide=Don't care about banking Ores?]If you don't care about banking the ores this location is still perfect for you. If you are on a lower populated world the respawn will take just long enough to enable you to drop 3 Ores (this i have tested myself). This means that once you have mined 3 Ores you drop them while waiting for the first rock to respawn again. This method is also faster than all of the other Iron PowerMining spots i have used.[/hide] [hide=Experience Rates]On an average populated world my runs averaged at 105 seconds. This means that in one hour i will manage to do 34 complete inventories. One inventory gives exactly 980 exp. This means that on an average populated world i can receive 952 Iron ore in an hour which is 33.3k exp per hour. On world a bit more crowded (I like to use W2 as often as i can) it is much easier to get faster exp. On W2 (without any competition) my average run took me 90 seconds. That means that in in one hour i will manage to do 40 complete inventories. 40 Complete inventories will result in 1120 Iron Ores per hour which is equal to 39.2k exp hour. **Stealing Creations Pickaxes are not worth using (unless you already have some banked). They ammount of extra exp you recieve from them is not enough to make up for lost time getting them.[/hide] [hide=Tips and Tricks]There aren’t really a lot of Tips or Tricks to make things easier but here are some i can think of. **When doing this method it is always to do it on a high populated world. This will make the Ores respawn meaning faster meaning Exp. **If you wish to save yourself a fair bit of money when using Dueling rings for banking, stop using htem once they have 1 charge left. The reason for doing this is because Dueling ring(1) selfs for almost the same ammount at a **Dueling Ring (8) meaning you will have paid alot less to bank then you would have if you used up the last charge. **When powerming it is often best to mine in a less crowded world. The respawn time for the ores will give you just enough time to drop the 3 ores you mined. **Always keep a few Imp Jars and Nets in your banking tab. This spot is very popular for Implings. **If you want to make a bit of extra money while mining, wear an Ava's device to attrack Arrows. This will not hinder your mining in any way.[/hide] Hope you enjoyed the guide. Let me know what you think. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.
  20. Okay i've had a few posts up about getting 99 Magic. This was however before i was even near the start of my Magic training. I now however am 450k or so Exp away from 93 Magic. My current method of training is by Alching in a PvP world, and after every two hours (after which i have between 90% and 100% ep) i do the 76k trick. So far after doing this only once i was lucky enough to receive a Corrupt Statius Warspear (or something) and an Ancients Stattue (aka Zaros). I still need to do about 96k Alchs for 99 Magic however i do NOT feel up to this. I think at most i can handel another 20k alchs or so. After this i would most likely want to use the money gained and use it to String Jewelry as far as i can, only problem is that after the latest update Astral Runes rised so much that it has almost become as expencive as Bursting Rock Lobsters. So thats where the dilema comes in (ohnoes). Would it be best to just alch my way to 94, use the money i gain on Barraging Lobsters then once i have used up all the money, Alch whilst gaining EP, trick, and then spend the money on Barraging (basically do this all the way till 99). I know there are other methods but i really am looking for the fastest ways possible without losing money. And this does seem like my fastest way without losing ANYTHING. Other suggestions? NOTE: I will not enchant bolts, material is hard to come by and i really do need my fingers for other things. Losing them over 99 Magic is not an option. EDIT: I have not yet done Dream Mentor so i am not able to do either Humidifying nor Plank Make but a thought just came to me. Last time i heard Plank Make was about 4 gp/exp. This means i will need about 25mil to get to 99 Magic. If i combine Plank Make with Humidity as well as alching in PvP for 2 hours every day (1 x 100% ep [more or less 1.5mil reward]) i should be able to bring the total cost of 99 Magic down to about 15mil, which (contradicting myself) does not seem like such a bad option. However, will this still be worth it? If Humidifying brings anywhere close to 40k exp an hour then i will accept this as a possibility. So what are the thoughts on this option?
  21. Like said above, Mages are good flowing money. Boots drop often. A possible 500k cash an hour is easily made. If you pick up all the runes and p ess dropped aswell you could make an extra 100k in that hour. Abby Demons on the other hand, or from my point of view, are one of the best wait of collecting crimson charms and getting decent drops at the same time. In the end it all does come down to luck though. Only difference is that havig a bad day at Mages will result in very little profit but having a bad day at Demons could still result in high profit due to the large number of Rune items dropped.
