I need some advice from people with 85 Slayer. I know both of my questions are going to be hard to answer but i just need a "estimate" or a "ball park figure". I'm about 72k from 80 Slayer. How many tasks will i need to complete to get to 85 Slayer? Also ive got just about enough charms for 82 Summoning, will 85 Slayer put me anywhere near enough for 90 Summoning? If not, were should it put me? Which would be the better way to make money after getting 85 Slayer? Spiritual Mages or Abbysal Demons? I'll be looking to make round about 250M to get myself to 90+ Summoning, maybe 99 Prayer and have enough money for some decent GWD Armour. So, any advice? EDIT: I have an estimate of about 100 - 110 tasks before i get to 85 Slayer, is that nearly correct? Also i've hear Mages are better money, but i just need some advice from expienced players.

Well, here is a setup i find very usefull for "lower levels". Granite Legs (Great Defence and not degradable) Saradomin/Zamorak D'hide Saradomin/Zamorak Coif Best RFD gloves or Black Vambs Granite Shield / Obby Shield Snakeskin Boots Armadyl Pendant Accumulator but if you dont have one then Obby Cape is fine. The Granite Legs will make you lose a bit Ranged Attack Bonus so but they do offer a very nice Defence Bonus.

Well, to be honest, neither of those two spots are "the best". The way i remember it Ice Warriors and Ice Giants are the best way to train range in F2P. I got 85 there myself (f2p).

Get both. Ranged and Mage Void are both very usefull.

Well, to answer a question above, its hard to determine whats rare and whats not. Just because something is expencive it does not mean it is rare. Cheap items can be rares too (dragonstone for example). as for the question about Warrior vs. Wealth, i would stick with a rOW. I have found my drops to be a bit better whilst wearing one. It may just be dumb luck, but i'm pretty sure that the ROW did have some affect on it.

Best equipment for slayer with 15mil budget?
gorgoroth replied to Greencheeese's topic in Help and Advice
Here is what i used when i had that kind of budget: Black Mask (Slayer Helm when you get one) Verac;s Skirt Torag/Guthans Plate Dragon Boots Barrows Gloves Warrior/Row Whip Fury Skillcape Rune Def/Obby Shield. -
Why would some one do that? Probably hoping that it rises to 100mil + or something [/fail]. Well ya it only requires 78 slayer and people are already flooding it its gonna likely rise a bit for maybe a couple days then plummet like all new items. Yup. D claws, D plate... all good examples. But anyway to stay on topic. If you dont want to make junk then keep it for 2 or 3 day then sell it.

If i were you i would staRT making some junk as fast as possible. Some guy on W2 just sold his for an AGS.

So im guessing the calculations i did is somewhat on target?

I'm a bit confused as to work out the profit/loss ill be making using this method. Tip.it calculator says i need about 121k to get 99 Mage. Is that 121k Casts or 121k piecec of glass? Im pretty sure that i need 121k Spells which would give me 1.94mil pieces of glass at an avarage or 16 pieces of glass per cast. If i sell this for 450gp each i will end up selling it for 708mil. Buying all the supplies for 99 Mage will cost me 741Mil (sand + seaweed) and the runes will cost me another 104mil. So at the end all the glass wil sell for 871mil. That will leave me with a profit of about 26Mil. Is that at all right?

Brrrrrilliant. Thank you very much for a helpfull reply :) This is exactly what i needed

In a different thread i heard mention of this spell being a decent way to train Magic. Since i'll be looking for a profitable way to get Mage exp this might be an option and since it gives Crafting exp (another one of the 99's i would like to have) its hitting 2 birds with one stone. I need one of two things, either a guide explaining how its done and whats needed, or for someone to take the time and explain the whole method to me. I have looked through the Guides section on TIF very briefly and could not find anything similar to what i need. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

So if i were to go for 99 Mage and 99 Crafting (85mage and 66crafting atm) I should get them both at more or less the same time and mage a large profit from it?
-
It's more than cheap, if you do it right, you'd probably make 100mil+ getting to 94ish mage (Obviously getting 99 crafting too). Superglass make is 35-45k mage exp per hour, and 65-75k crafting exp per hour. only if you can majorly pay attention, even with a 1 click bank it's waaaay lower than that for the average person sorry for the rude hi-jacking but this method interrests me alot. Is there any form of a guide anywhere that might explain this method to me? Once again, sorry for hi-jacking
-
Well something a bit out of the ordinary would be to Mage Aviansies. There is a guide in my Sig if you are interrested.

Im guessing you're gonna be training Attack? Well in that case i would go for PC since you're 100cb and will be able to get into a Veteran Clan. The reason i say this is because in PC you attack NPCs and not other Players. NPC's give much better EXP than Players. There is however the chance of you getting lucky and being able to Attack the NPCs in SW for 20minutes without getting KO'ed by other players (highly unlikely) in which case SW would be slightly better. I would still go for PC in the long run though just because its a bit funner and and the chance of winning is better.

Haha i second that. Tbh it would be easier to think about a word that sounds similar to the one you're using. For example there a South African Rugby player with the name Gurthro and he pronounces his name as Guth - Row so i think the same kind of thing applies to Guthix. I don't think its a long OO sound but more of a short Uh sound. Similar to that of the GU in Gun or Gust to use easy examples. Since there are no punctuation marks on the names (marks like the Acute accent, circumflex, grave accent, etc) it makes it hard to be 100% sure about the correct pronunciation.

Well there are always the obvious options like Aviansies and Green Dragons for fast money, then there is Slayer for a more relaxed, fun money making. If youre looking for something team-able then Bandos is the way to go. With your levels, any sort of GS and decent armour yo should find a team with no hastle. What i like about Bandos teaming is the fact that you dont need to spend alot of money on an inventory and you can still last for hours. I manage to last for 5hours+ without any BoB and Torags. Best of Luck.

Dragon Hatchet is only worth it if you plan on Power WC-ing for 99, or so i have heard. Its one of those items that alot of people want so the demand for it is always rather high. You might be able to sell it back for a profit if you buy it in a few weeks. As said before it has been on the rise for quite some time and you might make a loss if you buy now and sell within a week or so.

There is always the option of using Void Mage, Master Wand/Lava Staff/Slayer Staff, Fire Cape, Infinity Boots, Fury, Unholy/Mages Book and Slayer Dart/Fire Wave/Iban Blast. Those are of the 3 best spells i know (when it comes to price vs. efficiency). This will offer you a decent defence aswell as a decent attack. Ive used this particular setup on Rock Lobsters (Changing the Slayer Dart to Ice Burst) and i did it with much success. I have also tanked with that outfit at Aviansies, Ankou, Greater Demons and Black Demons. I only ever had trouble with the Black Demons, but even with a good Melee Setup they can give you hell if you try and tank. Void Mage really isn't as useless as everyone makes it out.

Its the same thing when it comes to Saradomin. Some would say Seh - Rah - Dome - In and others would say Sah - Rah - Doh - Min (As in Domino without the last O) or something like that.

God of justice who controls bird like creatures =/= Shelled marsupial. We must remember this is just a game. Bunyip for example is a aborigany mytholgical creature but it looks nothing like it does in RS. We must always remember, RS is a game with many ideas from the real world. Did i put that simple enough for you? I know what the bunyip is in the stories, and its not entirely different. Bunyip in stories - Monster that lives in a lake, has some fish-like features. Bunyip in Runescape - Fish like monster. A walking fish
