  1. Or even better, buy PvP equipment. Bam, now all Jagex needs to do is actually code the tokens and NPC who will sell this stuff. Do we actually even know whats going to happen to the guy at BH? If we go along with this idea I think we have an NPC that we can sell the stuff to, and that'd probably be the hardest part. Then all you would have to do is code for the currency and new dialogue, then BAM, new idea. Oh, and as to the regard of wether or not statues should be removed, I think there is no real "substitute" for them as no matter what it is, just so long as the item replacing them is tradeable it's still "currency" of some form. TBH that is inflation and the only way to remove that is to make it an untradeable item used only like the current PVP weapons. just my two cents though. EDIT: As Fourside pointed out in the above post, There ARE other possibilities, but the real issue is that they still carry in the form of currency as long as they are still tradeable.
  2. Good spot Toad. :shades: @Sir Squab, I highly doubt they will become entirely that rare... tbh, if anything I think that Jagex (knowing them...) will just make them into a sort of minigame, where you collect them, turn them in for pure cash and it will be LIKE the current way that they are used... The twist however is that the amount they are worth will be either: A. Random B. generated by quantity of how many previous C. Exactly as they are today. And we all know Jagex and their ideas...
  3. I believe that has been there for some time... Anyone confirm?
  4. Even at that point, probably not. Remember when EPing you need to set apart 2 hours of time to get the EP. When killing Revs, you won't need to. You misunderstood me, I meant that no matter how you kill the Rev or how long it takes etc, you build no EP, ergo even if you kill for hours and hours, you still have the equivalent drop potential of 0% EP. Not the equivalent of 2 hours of gaining EP for just the kill, or staying there. Think of it as a flat rate 0 EP and it makes more sense.
  5. I agree there. If they decide to keep the brawlers and such, they should also keep the seperation between items for drop tables. Imagine prayer in f2p with brawlers... and worse, Imagine if they were *tradeable* :ohnoes:
  6. I think that the drop tables will be evened out by a combination of about 50% terrible drops, i.e. what they drop now, and the other half being what you generally get with 76king and 0% EP. At least that's how i see it being balanced.
  7. True, and you can 1-item. So if you have plenty of food, a decent weapon for f2p, and some green dhide, this could be paradies.
  8. I agree with K4ylan, the "incredible ease of obtaining them" won't be as easy as you may think. Firstly you will have the possibility of being piled by revenants. Secondly, you could get jumped (even in a single way combat) and killed by another player, while STILL having the revenant to deal with as well. Furthermore, I believe that the droprates won't be as low as we think, Think of our current PKing system and then we can relate the new Rev dungeon to those standards of droprates... Hopefully.
  9. I did miss out on that part, but I just read over it and from the sounds of what the Jmod said, it will be very hard to obtain the items from what we currently have known as Pking. That being said, the items will rise in price due to rarity i think? :shades: Anyway off of my rambling, Does anyone believe it will just be a PKing hotspot, or possibly a viable source for a tough clan to own and make money from the items?
  10. As I read over the new FAQ posted on the RSOF, i thought to myself the very same question posed about the Revenants, "What will happen to these rather annoying NPC's?" So I continued reading on down the page and LOW AND BEHOLD, there was the Answer: Woah, wait did they just say a new dungeon? And they drop all the unique items such as the corrupt f2p weapons, brawlers and all those goodies? hmmm... That stinks! Wait, what did I just read again?! "...no longer teleblock or freeze opponents?!" woah, Does this mean that all of the P2P items such as statius, and Vesta's will also be dropped by an easier form of a Pker? The conclusions came to my mind and I still wonder, exactly how often will which type of revenant drop these items? Will they still be in high demand or will their demand drop due to the free trade? What do you think? Will this be an important update for the long run with many players having easier access to brawlers and the like, or will it just die away and become another one of the many interesting yet obscurely used parts of the game?
  11. I honestly hate you.... bleh, I died that trip too. oh well, back to barrows again today eh
  12. okay, Thank you so much for your help =D Can I add you in game?
  13. okay, so pretty much just make my switching really lazy and then also throw in some decent armour, train my range up a lot and learn to switch? =D P.S. i'm learning to switch by just making runs down there with pretty much nothing on and just praying is that the way i should do it?
  14. I'm kinda not a big fan of dging, so I don't have chaotics, or the prayers.... Would they be SUPER useful or just a nice thing to have?
  15. Okay, so I know that i don't really have the best stats for TDs yet but i plan on training for them. The question I have is, which stats should I train to get the levels so that I can do them at an average pace. I want to know how i should train my stats as well as a general guideline and outline for how long it will take for me to get decent stats to solo them. =p I'm not looking for the BEST setup mind you, rather just one that I could use for some casual TDs. Also if someone wouldn't mind giving me a general setup inventory that I could learn to solo with slowly that would be great.
  16. Yay again for Hati gloves, and bonus xp =p. I am loving getting these levels so fast and almost without effort.
  17. Yay Hati wolf Gloves. =D And with the remainder of the power I am going to get 90+ attack  Great boost to my weekend.

Double post. dang. Anyway, i'm going to try that minus the extreme defence pot due to the fact i cba to make some atm. be back soon... With piety and shield i get nothing on me except the mages woot!
  19. mlskid replied to Slaykan's topic in Help and Advice
okay, i will get right on it and then see what that changes...

Okay, thank you VERY much for your help. I am just waiting on the bandos boots to buy before I start my trips, =D i can' wait to use the new trollheim teleport tabs
  22. After I posted that I remembered that haha. This along with camo is best imo but Whatever really works for you is what you should do. :shades:
  23. ohhh! haha, i read over it and was thinking, wow... this guy just needs google haha. To do those, just go grab as many small fishing nets and ropes as possible, then go to the iceberg from the quests, and go to the polar bear, hop on across and start hunting! it's really not necessary to have a guide on it, as it's rather simple to do and easy, yet probably the fastest hunter xp i've had at my level excluding shadow jadinkos. good luck!

Okay, thanks. So a possible setup would be my barrows armor, then at least a god item from each faction. Next my inventory would have two ropes, a grappling hook, a hammer, then the rest filled with my eee for healing with spec, sharks for more healing and about 7-8 pray pots? Would that be a decent setup? I came up with this setup: Helm - niet necklace - armadyl pendant cape - soul wars ammo - sara arrow weapon - korasi's sword shield - Unholy book Torso - Guthans Legs - Guthans Boots - bandos gloves - barrows ring - ROL Is this alright?

Sorry, I guess i didn't really make my intentions clear. I don't plan on going and being in a mass for nex or anything like that, but I want to go and kill the zaros minions in hope of the ceremonial clothings that are worth like 1m each =p  If I still should train for that let me know what stats i will need, and remember i do have extremes
