what dragon to kill
Yeah, i just got a task of these (68) and I maged them with the runes I had gotten from barrows. it's not hard to do and not much attention is required, but i was using slayer dart so i'm not sure how effective my way of killing them was. It seemed to hit about 3/4 of the time and was pretty good. if you want a new way of training and still making some money to breaking even, this is definitely better than ranging, or meleeing them.

Magic Help
For sure yes. Buy all that you can now and see if you can't get done with making all those bars by March 10th, Then sell those puppies on the ge and you should profit huge. If you get lucky enough now and buy all that you need you will be able to avoid buying all these raw materials that everyone is buying to skill for the 2.7 multiplier on March 12. Secondly you should profit majorly if you can sell all of the bars about mid week before the bonus weekend. They should sell rather well as everyone will still be stocking up for the weekend. Good luck on your goal.

Magic Help
Sorry but no. The 2.7 multiplier rate is only for the members. :wall:

Magic Help
And also he is f2p so he can't even get to the living rock caverns. good try though. And I agree with the first response, superheat all the way, do the highest possible bars you can.

Alternative to alching?
How about buying a steam battlestaff, and then using humidify? And while farming you can make a large profit. Just make the vials filled with water into grimy unf pots. This way you raise your farming a little bit, and your mage. And you still profit doing both.

The Temple at Senntisten
No, the quest guide is correct. I did the quest without killing a single waterfiend; however I did have the same problem you had. But then i figured it out and was able to finish the quest easily.

Quest cape.
I know. I have to train my mage up, but are you sure I can't pot up for the hunter?

Quest cape.
Okay thanks, that helps me out a TON. ^_^ And I hope that I will enjoy both of those quests, I know that I am going to have a difficult time of nomad, my computer has a bad habit of lagging when I'm about ready to go fight the final boss quest monster.lol

Quest cape.
So I just finished WGS, and now I only have 3 quests left. Rocking out, Within the light, and Nomad's requiem. I am going to be doing them in that order, trying to pot to get the final levels i will need. (I already have all of that stuff planned out.) So, I was just wondering, Do i have to have all of the wishlists completed for Rag and Bone man, and Fur 'n seek? I seem to recall that I do but I wasn't sure if I did or not. Thanks for all help

While guthix sleeps
Fire wave to heat the key? Isn't that only if you want to get into the mithril door? I just want the experience at the end, I definitely can't do any of the extra stuff.

While guthix sleeps
Yay! I officially start the quest. Thanks all for your help. Now it's on to actually getting the quest done. hehe. What should I spend my xp on? I was thinking a combination of prayer and summoning (just to get 70 summ for my saradomin bird.) What do you guys think?

While guthix sleeps
Actually you should garden pie (+3) farming, stewing herblore and wizard mind bomb magic. Actually that's ALMOST what i'm doing. I got a gorak task for slayer, and so i just kept the gorak claws i got and made them for my herblore level. Then tried using them on a barrows run and noticed that i got to the 75 mage level and the light just clicked. Now I have the levels and am just about ready to try and go get the quest

While guthix sleeps
I completed it with lower stats than that, so you should have no problem. I KNOW you can pot up herb and farming (that's what I did), so I'd assume you could for Mage, but you never have to pot through the quest, just to start it. Okay thank you so much for all your help. I will be able to start this quest sometime today and hopefully get to questing. =) You have all been a big help. This thread can now be locked

While guthix sleeps
Okay, potting my mage won't be a problem then.lol Thanks for the advice.

While guthix sleeps
I read over the guide and didn't see any place in the guide that i would have to use a lvl 75 mage spell, so i was wondering, can't i just pot that and the herblore and farming requirements up to those levels? Then secondly, if I DID get lucky enough with stews and such to be able to start the quest, could i complete it fairly easily with my stats or would it be tough? Thanks for all help The only requirements I need to get for the quest now are, 75 magic, 65 herblore, and 65 farming.

Fight Caves Claw/Dragon Rock
No this is the current technique (i'm almost positive as it was on the guide i looked up) and it is the way that i use to get through all of the waves till jad. I fail and just can't get the hang of it and have failed three times not even getting to jad each time. I used the claw rock but i either made a mistake that was obvious (too close to 360, forgot mage pray didn't kill 90 etc). However I think that this is still a viable method, as for Muggi's guide, you can easily get to the spots to prepare for jad by using the claw rock. good luck on getting the cape!

tormented wraiths
Here is my set up that I start out with in Edgeville. Then I run north west till I get to the castle, and use my ring to teleport into where the wraith is.[hide] [/hide] Then once there, I have my quick prayers/curses set to defend melee, and i go until I feel like stopping or run out of pots. I usually can stay for about 3 hours or more. Once I am done or whatever I tele with my home teleport, or ardy cape. Then I bank and do my daily activites and go back for more. Here is just an example of what I got in the last hour that I went.[hide] [/hide] Hope that I helped you. Good luck if you do decide to tormented wraith hunt.

Roughly 300k is a good estimate for gp/hr. Experience will depend on whether or not you use super str, and atts. I personally don't so I only get about 15k-20k xp per hour. In a trip i usually get almost 50k xp.(i start out with 8 p pots and then leave when i have about 2 left or so.) I could probably get a higher gp/hr and xp/hr if i used super sets but personally i am just too lazy to buy and make them myself. With your stats, i'd expect just a tiny bit more xp and gp every hour. not much but probably just a hair bit more.

tormented wraiths
I have made anywhere from around 500k an hour to about 150k. It varies greatly. Oh and if you need blue charms, this is without a doubt one of the best monsters for blue charms.

tormented wraiths
Agreed. They are terrible in terms of xp, the money you get from them is debatable. You can get spirit shield drops every about 100 kills or so, and you get planks, and mithril darts(for loaning things out) and some pretty decent herbs. But If you don't already have the prayer pots made, or are just using them cause you don't want to sell them (like me) then i don't think they are worth it. For a beginning to monster hunting I guess they could be considered pretty decent. Ultimately its up to you really. If you want to go for the elixer good luck, i've killed about 600 of them and gotten i think 7 spirit shields, ~3,000 oak planks, and a couple hundred herbs, darts, etc. wasted ~75 pots. Oh and no elixer for me yet. I'm just killing them for fun, and to kinda waste time while things sell in the ge. The worst downside to them is that you have to use a black weapon, and armor. So praying is a MUST.

Humidify still profitable?
Actually it doesn't matter if they do or not... just buy some grimy herbs (eg kwuarms) and then clean those. Then combine into the potion, check the ge prices but I'm pretty sure most of the unf pots profit by about 100 gp or more. btw, this is how i'm training my herblore level and mage. =D 100gp is an understatement. Most of them are around 300-500gp more, maybe 600gp. O_o really? thats suprising to me... so overall with the gp gain of buying herbs and the vials, then turning into unf pots, you're going to gain quite a bit of cash. I'm getting a head start on it right now.
