  1. They may or may not be very understanding. They may see Furah's aspirations taking precedence over his girlfriend's welfare. It's unfortunately true in many cases. EDIT - I thought so.

Indeed. Examples of words such as 'dumb', 'retard', 'shit', etc. were lifted from the censor as the community has changed - and the RuneScape rules (which we're supposedly adherent to) has also changed in light of that.
  3. Banned for being predisposed to addiction.
  4. Banned for being too slow.
  5. Banned for being disturbed at my expressions of love, and high-stakes teasin'
  6. I'll be the pessimist here. JaGex would probably counter all the great updates with a single terrible one (note recent effigies update). Be prepared for the worst.
  7. That occurs quite often if you double click by mistake, like the way we can accidentally double-post here on Tip.it If the payment has already gone through, then it'll obviously give you errors when you attempt to use it.
  8. The power of asymmetric information and poor economic understanding plays a much more significant role than the update itself. The effects on the money-supply this update will have would be negligible.
  9. Not getting winnings = losing 150M It depends how you define the term 'losing'. You've lost what was likely to be yours, but it wasn't within your possession, so you could only argue that you've lost a potential 150m. It does appear to be an unnecessary exaggeration/distortion of the truth. @Thorg - It's non-applicable here, so what relevance does that anecdote have?
  10. Most likely something involving sweeping the highscores for names to PM their spam to. Besides, that's a terrible asking price. It reflects how the economy has changed as a result of the influx of bots.
  11. Banned for having such smooth, soft, delicate skin like a baby's bottom.
  12. I think you may have missed the point of this thread - it's not just about what annoys you, but rather - why. It's consolidating if other people could understand precisely why you're frustrated/infuriated/annoyed at something/someone. What are you bored with, or why are you bored? Could you go about fixing it, or is it beyond your means? A vague, or very general statement like 'I'm annoyed at boredom' doesn't tell us very much, and thus lacks discussion value. On a more relevant note - I'm annoyed at the audacity of some call-centre employees. To add insult to injury, not only were they incredibly disrespectful and impatient - they also dared to blatantly accuse my friend of theft for seemingly no reason.
  13. Banned for agreeing with his ideals.
  14. I think you're overreacting with snapping at your girlfriend. You need to give her the chance to explain and improve herself - snapping at her doesn't achieve either. It may be emotionally gratifying for you, for a short moment, but in the long term - you're at a loss. I understand why you snapped at her for not waking up - that's reasonable as she's occupying your living area. I do think you overreacted in the brief resume encounter. Given your relatively young age, you may have changed so much mentally that you're no longer in a viable relationship - it may or may not be time to move on. This needs addressing, and the first thing that could identify whether this is the case would be a good, long discussion. This seems complex.
  15. Brief questions for clarification - what's the topic for argument; is it over the relationship, or is it over something more frivolous (e.g. gaming habits or whatever)? How does she seek comfort after crying - does she go home and confide with her parents, or does she 'get over it' quickly? We need to know what she's being upset by - that's one of the first steps for understanding where to go. I think one of the best things you can do in these kinds of situations would be to have a good, long discussion over what you and your partner envision the relationship to be - and what's wrong with the relationship right now. Don't just talk, either - really listen to her. Try and work on being empathetic - she's the one feeling hurt here. Question of curiosity - could she also be hiding something that has recently upset/traumatized her, and you're merely worsening the situation at home? It's not too uncommon for that to happen, especially when unexplained arguments seemingly emerge out of nowhere. EDIT - I'm not sure what you could do for the emotional support bit. I'm pretty sure that part of the role of being a partner is to be someone to confide one's secrets/insecurities/confessions with. I think you need to work on that personally - not the other way around. I'll safely assume that it's not a frequent occurrence, and she's not exclusively dependent on you. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
  16. Please, precisely identify the issue if you would like a meaningful response. A vague, equivocal post that states 'anxiety of potential mishaps in relationship' doesn't tell us much at all.

I love the naivete of those with the audacity to claim its 'because of the games [one] plays online'. I call them the technologically disadvantaged. It exists among all cultures, starting from the ages of approx 35+. EDIT - I agree with Jeff down there. The chances are, she was the cause.

It depends how we're defining the phenomena of 'ghosts'. If we're defining it to be 'super-natural/paranormal' - it cannot be proven by its very own definition. It's also unfalsifiable, given that it's impossible to prove their non-existence unless we have a good way to determine whether they do (which, arguably, requires the knowledge of its existence before such a device could be made, leading to a vicious circle). On the contrary, if we're defining it to be the phenomena of consciousness existing after death - it may be more easily falsifiable therefore more meaningful to test and determine. The unexplained nature of these purported phenomenas does not make them any more credible than any other absurd, unsubstantiated assertion. What we don't know doesn't equate to what ought to be attributed to a fabricated phenomena. The burden of proof is on you. It would be a violation of Occam's razor to assert that Ghosts do exist (for certainty, within our observable universe).
  19. I'll first address this issue. It's not that he couldn't take time to understand them, but rather - he lacks the capacity to understand them due to a language barrier. In response to star: Banned for perverse reasons.
  20. Linguistics Nazis, actually - we're not primarily concerned with grammar per se. I believe wind-burn refers to a similar effect to 'freezer-burn', where the skin (or the lips, in this case) dries and peels in response to temperature/wind-chill.
  21. The problem being - you've misconstrued it. To paraphrase, I've said 'It's not unexpectable' - i.e. 'it's to be expected'. I never made any reference to a future prediction. The nuances are subtle, but they could be insidious. This is why I'm so seemingly pedantic.
  22. WTF is this madness? A double negative combined with a non-existent word. Definition of UNEXPECTABLE : incapable of being expected : unpredictable <kept bringing out one unexpected and wholly unexpectable thing after another Nathaniel Hawthorne> <who could have been more unexpectable Christopher Morley> I see no issue here. The double negative was intentional. Problem?
  23. First off, you are reading this in Morgan Freeman's voice. You are now aware of your subconscious functions. By now, you are thinking about breathing and blinking manually. Don't just read this - really think about actually doing it. In the same vein, you're now aware that your tongue has no comfortable spot, and that you're producing saliva. You're now thinking about yawning. Banned for falling for the psychological mind-tricks.
  24. Banned for double posting.
