  1. Banned for falsely proclaiming that I've professed authority on this particular thread.
  2. Banned for appealing to (a false sense of) authority.
  3. Banned for being my invincible superhero who gets on my nerves.
  4. Do elaborate - what sort of shit? Does he verbally tease you, or is it his apathy for work/school?
  5. Banned for watching the new adventures of superman.
  6. I've never read the Freakonomics books, how would you describe them? Is it pretty simple reading or something really profound? It's written in a prose that could be understood by the common folk, not just students of Economics. In other words, the lack of esoteric language makes it an easy read for the masses. There's a lot of tongue in cheek humour, especially in the metaphors they use, and it goes about illustrating their points without the mundane repetition that exists in far too many books. You could also argue that it gives you a different perspective by viewing Economics as a process as opposed to an academic discipline. It introduces you to Economics through a discussion about patriotic prostitutes, suicide bombers, and 'global cooling'. I believe, since it's an international bestseller, that you can pick one up at the library. It may or may not appeal to you, but I know that it appeals to me.
  7. It was an inference drew from your statements about WoW. It was presumed that WoW combat is inferior, hence why it would be a negative thing to transit from RS -> WoW
  8. SuperFreakonomics. I like the way it has been written.
  9. Is there a particular aspect of RuneScape PvP that makes it oh-so-superior to WoW? There seems to be an underlying assumption that any change will be for the worse, which seems highly improbable.
  10. On what grounds can you make this assertion tenable? If I wanted a change to happen and think it would be awesome I would consider it good for the future growth of runescape. He even puts down people who disagree with him, which kind of proves what I'm saying. Its effects on future growth is not contingent on your personal preferences. You can't make the sweeping assertion that everyone playing RuneScape doesn't mind it either, as that's easily proven untrue - it's merely an obvious hyperbole. I think the RuneScape combat system is long overdue some changes - but it seems we have some PKer lobbyists who resist change for the sake of nostalgia. Why do you feel it doesn't need changing?
  11. If by surprises, you mean 'unexpected, but pleasant event', you would be correct. If by surprises, you mean something rather different... then maybe not.
  12. On what grounds can you make this assertion tenable?
  13. Banned for not reading that trope page yet.
  14. Banned for allowing me to ninja you.
  15. Banned for not picking up that it's a no, except yes trope.
  16. The 'most representative'. Let's start with the two most prevalent groups.
  17. Well, at least give some account that can be deemed representative of a moderate Christian. Speculation on a vacuum doesn't quite help.
  18. Banned for questioning my authority. I changed it because I felt the old name was less applicable to my current state of mind.
  19. Banned for being the crick in one's neck when one wakes up in the morning.
  20. Given my lack of understanding, could you briefly go through exactly what moderate Christians interpret the following to be: Yahweh - which powers, how he 'feels', what he wants, purpose of him, what he did, etc. Heaven/Hell The validity of the ten commandments The biblically accounted 'miracles' etc. In addition to that, please clarify what religious practices are practiced - indoctrination/teachings? What exactly does a visit to the church entail? Do they pray, or is that interpreted to be mythological? Do they base their morality around the proclaimed 'Christian' moral codes? I refuse to answer until it's clarified, as whatever interpretation I come up with, I'll be shot down for 'misconstruing what moderate Christianity is.' On a slightly tangential note, if moderate Christianity has no real world implications - then tell me, what good is it?
  21. Generally, just arguing with people or deep philosophical reading.
  22. Logical fallacies. JaGex needs to understand them.
  23. Banned for the flying spaghetti monster.
