  1. We're waiting. Don't fail to deliver.
  2. Your insane, the only armor with damage reduction is dung shields, elysians, and divines. The rest only reduce the chance of hit, unless jagex made an exception for korasis sword and only korasis (which is very unlikely). In other words, unless you have actual evidence that mage defence has a damage reduction that exclusively applies to korasi sword specs, get your head out of your ass. Go test it yourself before you say things like that He is actually right, few tests and personal experience are not enough to prove something. As for now there are no indications that the magic def reduces the damage. Surely not proven, but highly certain You're just making yourself look silly. There is no proof whatsoever that magic defence reduces damage at all. You cannot just base your argument on 'what it feels like', because anyone could just as easily make claims like that without justification. In terms of dice rolls of the combat system, it simply doesn't make sense why more magic defence would equal less chances of getting hit high with a Korasi Special in Single. If the accuracy rolls are simply ignored, and the damage is calculated, why would magic defence even matter at all? The best way to prove that the weapon hits no matter what, is to wear -65 magic and melee attack bonuses. It's proven that you cannot hit with any spell if you have -65 magic attack bonus, or any weapon if the attack style has an attack bonus of -65 Oh, and don't even think about using the 'prove me wrong' justification. If you can't prove yourself right, then you're automatically wrong. A normal hit works like this; Your attack dice and the opponent's defence dice is thrown. If your attack dice has won, move on to second dice. Your strength dice decides how high you hit. You have equal chance of hitting all numbers from 0 to your max hit. Whatever figure is thrown is the figure you'll hit, unless there's a damage multiplier, which your figure will be multiplied by (provided they have the life points to deduct). Your exp is calculated, and damage is taken by the next game tick. Your opponent's life points will be deducted by what you hit. A Korasi's special would simply jump the first stage, and go straight to the strength roll. Seeing that the accuracy part is negated, how would wearing dhides reduce damage, exactly?
  3. Have we really conquered nature, or do we only have temporary control over it, with the ability to end it all if we ever become insane enough to do so? Are we killing ourselves ecologically through global warming, toxic gases and the litter we dump onto this earth? Are we on the top of the food chain, or are we merely glass cannons, being inferior to almost every predator out there without our technology? Global warming, is it just an inconvenient truth? We have not conquered nature: we have temporary control over it, and the ability to end the world if our insanity ever prevails. The modern world may have been paved over, sanitized, forests gone, rivers damned, mountains removed, and yet we now stand on the precipice of collapse. The evidence shows that we are racing down Hubbert's Peak, our acceleration driven by a suicidal desire to believe a finite resource can be stretched indefinitely. Our water is toxic, our air is poison to breathe, our trash coats the world, clog ecosystems, and our fertilizers turn waterways into massive algae farms. We're holding a metaphorical gun to our collective head, stockpiles of nuclear weapons capable of ending all life several times over, or a far slower and more painful death by ecological suicide. That's one path - not a descent, but a dead end: there simply is nothing that way, a dead end for everything that we know. The second path is that we live. Whether or not we want to make that life anything worth living is a decision that's being made now. Maybe vegetarianism is a component of the solution, maybe it's not. Will you ever manage to prevent people from eating meat? Never. It's pointless to try, simply because people's definition of freedom includes the choice of eating what they want to. So we take a different path: we can take down Big Oil, and we can stop ignoring profits above everything else. Choosing your battles is just as important as fighting them. Discuss
  4. I think we are drifting more and more offtopic in this off-topic thread that I should create another thread for this discussion. Hmm On Topic; I've tried Quorn instead of Mince and it doesn't taste the same at all. Why would you replace meat with fake meat? How is that any more ethical than eating real meat?
  5. Explain how that works, in terms of dice rolling. How does it make it lower the hits?
  6. If it has 100% chance of hitting, then armour doesn't change the hits at all, unless otherwise stated

Yerp. i like mine medium Beef -> Medium, Lamb -> Medium, Steak -> Medium Rare, Pork -> Medium Well to Well, Chicken -> Well Well, roasts could be a little rarer. I'd say roughly Medium to Medium Rare for roasts

  to you too. It's not like you would eat that thing. This. Cooking kills a lot of the nutrition as well, IIRC. Correct me if i'm wrong :P Only applies to Vegetables. Boiling tends to boil away the vitamins. Doesn't apply to meat. Ew, is that your face? Very bad picture, doesn't look good. derp derp derp I usually go with medium/medium rare. Anything else takes too long; just give me my damn steak/burger already! (I'm going to go find something to eat now too...) >implying that I care Your burger just looks ugly, it could be tasty, stupid.

Personally, I like that with Roast Beef + Provolone, put in the oven for 2 minutes at 210c Looks something like this, except without the onion EDIT - Oh wait, that's a sandwich. I can't find a good bagel pic, oh well.

Ew, is that your pic? Very bad picture, doesn't look tasty. Now, this on the other hand, looks and tastes great

I'd say immortality is more scary than death, to be honest. If you're immortal, you would live until the earth gets consumed by the Sun, and then you'd float in space, unable to die. Wouldn't all that pain and suffering be worse?

Today, I finally got myself some decent thermals (Ski jacket). God, Britain is freezing right now. Always hovering between -2 and 10 degrees -.-
  14. I've dropped pizza and quickly put it back in the box before... Does that count?

Tags are messing up, here's my post Never trust adverts. EDIT - Sad, 'watch' gets censored if the previous word is 'weight'.
  18. We're at the top of the food chain, our technology is far more advanced than that of any other living organism, and we have the ability to [bleep] up the world on such a great magnitude. Sounds an awful lot like we have overthrown nature - for the time being at least, because you are right about the ultimate entropy thing. At the time being, humans hold the largest influence on the world. Whether it was deserved or not is another story. And also, no matter how efficient or well-planned-out we are, we're still all going to die. Of course we could elongate our stay, but you can't really blame humans for their inevitable demise. Taking an opportunity and working with it however you possibly can is a key element of humanity, and when possibility doesn't allow it, nature has taken its title back. We're not there yet. Right now we're alive and kicking. Well, that dives into the discussion about humans being glass cannons.
  19. Magic magic magic
  20. That law exists with good reason, though. I've seen idiots trying to advertise water curing cancer, etc.
  21. I feel this thread deserves a bump, OffTopic has been quite dry recently I found a few weird laws It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament. (I wonder what the punishment would be, capital punishment?) Under the UKs Tax Avoidance Schemes Regulations 2006, it is illegal not to tell the taxman anything you dont want him to know, though you dont have to tell him anything you dont mind him knowing. In Lebanon, men are legally allowed to have sex with animals, but the animals must be female. Having sexual relations with a male animal is punishable by death. (OK, like THAT makes sense...) In Hong Kong, a betrayed wife is legally allowed to kill her adulterous husband, but may only do so with her bare hands. It was a punishable offense to be a homosexual during World War I. In Los Angeles, a man is legally entitled to beat his wife with a leather belt or strap, however, the strap cannot be more than two inches wide, unless he has his wife's consent to beat her with a wider strap.
