1 more minute of silence left. This feels so awkward
  3. For absolutely no reason at all, I decided to google up 'Make me a sandwich'. Seems quite interesting, the articles I get. Article referred; http://dailycollegian.com/2010/03/02/dont-ask-girls-to-make-you-a-sandwich/ To contribute, the smell of perfume?
  4. Will do. Too bad I won't get to work during the school term :(. I'll find something. Solicitors in general have plenty of paperwork to do, right?
  5. Just be yourself, be prepared, don't be late, and don't over think it. Hmm, bit late for that now. Oh well. I did actually find a decent website for job interview advice >.>, which was this site; http://www.jobinterviewquestions.org/

I found some Subway branches will make a 6 foot long sub to be collected the next day, for £50. That's a bit expensive. A footlong is only £5. I've decided to have jacket potatoes tomorrow. With ham and monterey jack cheese. >.>
  7. I've posted this on the Today thread, but perhaps there's more traffic here on irl advice. What should I do for a job interview? Or a better question - What should I not do at a job interview? I just want to apply for a part time job for the city council for administration work, really.
  8. Arguing about the looks of an item now? My character looks better in default clothes than in full Bandos...

Today, I've got myself a job interview for tomorrow. Any advice on interviews? It's administration work for the council.... hmm
  10. Godswords were outdated since the day of release. The only useful Godsword there are now, is the BGS, only for the Corporeal Beast
  11. Black Ops.

Say it 16 times. Memorized! It's also how I memorize pi, which is 3.14159265358979323846264338279502....
  13. I stopped reading this thread after the above, so if i repeat anyone im srry How will that^ "solution" go with merching clans? With the right item, these clans of best/worst case scenario; 2-300 people with 50mil to 2bil purchacing power each could potentially put offer up for 2.5k to 190k whips at max. Which is faaaaaaar out of the supply"range". this is all in theory tho; but what would your "solution" do to the price of whips if something like this happend? I'll tell you: it would possible double, triple, quadriple (and i could go on) the price of whips in a single update. Do you know how a manipulation clan functions? Beyond the simple "Oh, the leaders stock up before the clan and dump early"? It relies extremely highly on confidence. No one is going to be confident if their 'manipulation item' is going to be near worthless again within a few hours, especially knowing the 4 hour trade limits. Everyone would try to dump far more earlier than they do now, because GE would theoretically update that much faster. It would create very short term flukes, and the clan leaders wouldn't have the same advantage they have now. And my proposal had nothing to do with the 5% min/max, it's to do with the amount of GE updates a day. Even if in your 'example', if whips went up so much, the demand would quickly dwindle, and it would flood the GE with supply once again, and the price quickly nosedives back down. I think it could work, but you've only quoted the first part of my proposal, hence the bias. The mechanics of the GE is why it fails. It prioritizes someone mere seconds faster than someone else, and 1gp difference in offers would also give a huge advantage/disadvantage. I think we're drifting a little off topic, but it does tie in, because the mechanics of the GE is why street prices even exist.

Woo! Pretty nice day. EMA is finally going to be backdated. 8 weeks worth on Friday (£240). Got the Administration Job I wanted for ages, going in for an interview sometime soon (don't know when), I'm good with data input :). Found out I don't need to pay for bus pass either, another £60 in pocket. Apparently, Learner Support Fund could be used to pay for Microsoft Office. I learnt that today. Just downloading it now. Hmmm Today's a good day.
  15. There is no arguing with determinism on a daily sense. The way to prove or disprove a theory are with the oddest variables, such as time travel. If humanity every figures out how to go back in time, would all preformed destiny then be undone? For example if the cure for cancer is found in the year 2150 and a wayward time traveler takes it to todays date, would the people who died in his world be alive? and would that alter the world of the time traveller that delivered the cure to us? All I can think of when writing this is the movie Donnie Darko, If you haven't seen it I really think you should. The Grandfather Paradox. My personal theory is that it wouldn't ever destroy any universes, but it would most likely 'skew' into a new, alternate universe, preserving whoever that went back in time.
  16. >Implying that the Bots don't actually exist. Hahahaohwow.jpg Have you been to GE recently, and seen the 'bot forums' at all?

My mic is really playing up so I can't really record myself properly. It's strange that I sound so different when I'm recorded to when I'm actually speaking - maybe it's just a thing with the ear positioning. I am British born Chinese though - so I'll have an... odd accent to say the least.
  18. Looks amusingly like my setup. I'm also on Google Docs a bunch too ;o Who here uses a separate irc client alongside RS for chatting?
  19. I know what the thread is about, the 'solution' part is for the sake of consistency, because I criticized him for not proposing a 'solution'. One thing I'm curious about; What you mean by 'refreshing' the offer. Do you refresh the entire RuneScape Screen, or press an arrow key, or click on an arrow key on the actual GE interface?
  20. One of the not so 'typical' articles, finally. Sees_all should be nominated for the Editorial panel, in fairness. Actually agreed with most of the points addressed. (Damn long though, 1477 words!) This is why Free to Play worlds is so... unappealing. Inconsistent, laggy, and just plain irritating. About the other articles; I never read fictionals, I'd rather read a novel. The quest article was a bit of a drag, couldn't be bothered to read it.

You don't enjoy an extra hour of daylight? Is it not the same amount of daylight just that it gets darker earlier during daylight savings time and gets darker later when daylight savings time ends? Actually, the point of DST is the reverse. It's the time we start seeing the sun, because it would be silly for the sun to come out at 9am and the sky being pitch dark at 7-8. Today, I did nothing but walk around a bunch and surf the net. Damn, I'm bored. What's a good job to apply for as a 16 year old student who plays RS?
  22. Your argument relies on the assumption that Snipebots will be using the Grand Exchange website to put offers in. They actually use the hourglass, which is much, much quicker than the GE website. Your third "point" I see no evidence of, therefore your reasoning is weak because it lacks reliability. Also, you failed to propose a solution to the so called 'problem', which doesn't help either. There's a few main issues with the Grand Exchange; The way GE prioritizes requests The way GE updates Price Floors and Ceilings (alchemy values, anyone?) Max Cash If the GE functioned perfectly, 'street values' won't even exist. To Fix the GE; Make the GE respond to Supply and Demand. Use the Supply/Demand ratio to update the GE; if there's 3 thousand buy offers for a Jug of Half Wine in the GE (at max), and only 1 sell offer (at max), make the Half Wine update. The GE should also prioritize requests on time of offer, but everyone who 'snipes' the item within the first 'x' (uncertain of what 'x' should be) minutes would all have equal chance of getting the item. That would make it much fairer to anyone who legitimately try to purchase hard to buy products on the Grand Exchange. Remove the Price Ceilings and Price Floors. Locking the prices is silly because it creates indefinite buyouts/junk for items that gets a shift in demand but has a price cap. Even without the price floors, the price will actually hover around the alchemy values in reality (because the supply/demand equilibrium would be above the alchemy value, because if it goes much lower than the alchemy value, demand shoots up due to profitable alchemy). Last but not least, max cash. With Partyhats reaching ever more closely to the Max Cash figure on the GE, and it continuing to rise in price unless there is a massive outflow of pure GP in the economy, we should fix the Max Cash problem relatively soon. The game engine limitations exist, I acknowledge that. A simple solution would simply be to make a 'Super GP', that can only be used in the Grand Exchange. You can use Spirit Shards directly as cash, only in the Grand Exchange. This would make it so that even if you store billions of coins in this form, it wouldn't be too easy to convert it back into coins again unless you have multiple friends willing to sacrifice alot of time. I can see a few flaws with the proposed 'solutions' I have, but they can be overcome via simple updates. Hmm, it's midnight, I'll try and think of something better later. On Topic; What's the main thing that people trade for partyhats now? Pumpkins, Easters, Disks, 3a?

Is that a monkey? Do want. It's actually a 'Slow Loris'. It's an endangered species of the wild, but it's damn cute nonetheless. On Topic: I just woke up, damn hungry though. Hmm, Sundays are boring. I prefer Caturdays
  24. Well, it's worse if it's on Youtube. You can see like 80 thumbs up for comments that are basically repeating what's said in the video, killing the joke. Which reminds me, it's also damn annoying for someone to 'not get' a joke, and have to explain it to them.
