An Elitist's View on Crashing
This thread is degrading. Stop quoting people out of context and resorting to personal attacks, and present a logical argument that actually holds some water. Mining is actually a better example than monster hunting. Who owns the spot, a level three who happened to log in first, that has 60 mining, or a level 138, with 90 mining? Nobody owns the spot. You got to fight for it, because resources are limited, and wants/needs are unlimited. Unless JaGex releases more Instanced areas, crashing will always exist. The Economic Problem is why Crashing still exists. Crashing for fun, however, is another story. EDIT - Ethics don't exist on RuneScape. Don't even try and start with the pixel argument.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
No one's trying to say the behaviors are the same. The classification for the behaviors are identical: a sexual attraction. Any sexual attraction is in this category, homo, hetero, pedo, or otherwise. Perhaps, but it does have a negative connotation to it, and pedofiles are widely accepted as disgusting people so to put homosexuals in the same category does have a negative connotation to it as well. Yes, and if you'll read my post I'm putting heterosexuals in that same group as well. My point is that as much as the left likes to say "the state has no place in the bedrooms of the nation" and "people's sexual preferences aren't our business" it's frankly untrue. We have all kinds of restrictions on what's seen as an "appropriate sexual attraction". So - back on topic - what is your opinion then? Is homosexuality right or wrong? "Appropriate or inappropriate"? And why? I've said it before. Guys = ***, Girls = Yay. Humans are twisted, apparently. In total seriousness; There is no labelling it appropriate, or inappropriate, really. Would you label heterosexuality?

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
Suppose you're in a locker room with a few guys, and some gay men are supposedly 'attracted' to you. Would you take it as a compliment, or not? Why, or why not?

Ghosts on Dungeon Island
You're roughly 6 months late, it's not actually an island and these have been around since Dungeoneering.

Tip.it Times - 17th October 2010
Do you use one? I would also disagree that everyone has this thought process. Not every task requires such a weapon. I thought your point was that the price is the way it is because of player spending power? Lets be realistic it hasn't even been out for a year. Agreed some things will benefit other skills. My point is other skills won't be left to rot as combat and dung aren't the be all and end all of RS. Sooooo...whats your point? Theres money to be made in the right places if you look carefully enough. What about RC? RuneCrafting went from being one of the best moneymakers in the game to one of the worst moneymakers in the game. It went from GWD income to Green Dragons income.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Ignorance is bliss. Actually having read through the first post, are they saying that they are designing bits that are supposedly used to promote "Emergent gameplay"? Because if so, that's not emergent.

Abortion
"Is it really killing?" I consider abortion 'Letting the thing die', not 'Killing it'. Depends on the method, ofcourse. Would you call miscarriages murder? I don't see anything wrong with killing non sentient organisms. Wait - I think I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. Nevermind. But - How can you be sure something isn't sentient? Run tests on it in a lab? Apparently, even plants can be sentient. http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/plants/news-feeling-plants-how-sensitive-flora

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Why don't you go back to arguing semantics on the word emergent? You don't have a leg to stand on here. There is a big picture in front of your face in but your too blind to see it. Like the old saying goes, you can always lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Point being? I believe this picture is of relevance to this post; On Topic; My interpretation of 'Emergent gameplay' is 'thinking outside the box'. I think it really shouldn't be promoted this way, because it's almost encouraging players to step on the grey areas of breaking the rules. Hmm.

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Was talking about that. You seem to think I am talking about something else. You are wrong. End of story. Self-contradiction win. It's like saying you can't get hit, until you get attacked (probably a crap analogy, but it's 2am)

27-Oct.-2010 Emergent Gameplay letter
Emergent gameplay means EXPLOITING parts of the game in ways that the developers had not intended, but does not necessarily constitute bug abuse. It's not just using something, it's EXPLOITING it for some sort of advantage. This is the crucial difference between "role-playing" and emergent gameplay. Sure, Jagex had not designed POHs to be used as strip clubs or restaurants, but using them as such is not advantageous exploitation - it's just role-playing. - Using the withdraw-x option on a BoB to CONTINUOUSLY use bones on an altar is an example of emergent gameplay. - Using a cannon in a single-combat zone to hit multiple targets is an example of emergent gameplay. So, by definition, 76king and Wind Bolting = Emergent gameplay? Or manipulation clans?

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
THEY ALL DIED AT DIFFERENT TIMES! Er, anyway. Again, as people have pointed out in this thread, the degrading rate is largely influenced by how and where you slay/whatever. No way this will really become a meme. And I'm pretty sure the consensus is that it depends on the number of monsters attacking you, 4 monsters=10 hours, or something like that. Could it be linked with monster attack speeds too? Say, Nail Beasts/Scarab Swarms, vs Jad?

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Suckups. "The term yes man is typically used for an employee who agrees enthusiastically with every statement of his or her employer.[2] Some synonyms of yes man are flunky, stooge, suck-up, kiss-ass, and sycophant; all of which have pejorative connotations.[3]"
