  1. You must be very proud of your son Yes i am proud of the one to be borne in 10 years. hahah  You're asian? I never would have guessed :o Me too. Do I get a prize?
  2. Eliite? We are playing RS here. C'mon now it's not the most challenging game in the world other than spending time on it. How does that work with your 81 dung with frosties? What drops from TD's give you this supposed earning power? dragon claws and dragon armour pieces oh and btw killing tds for effigies is faster rc xp/h than zmi if you can open the effigies. This, and I never once said that I could camp frost dragons. I don't know why you brought that up, jrhairychest. People that simply cannot make that kind of money will make illogical assumptions and reasons. I forgot what this topic is about, gotta edit this post later to unspam. EDIT - What do you guys think about Inflation? I still think Inflation > Deflation
  3. The feeling of a nice hug. You know what I'm talkin' about.
  4. Jagex Said; "Unfortunately, these methods are reactive find a problem then solve it and if we just react, we'll always be chipping away at a larger problem. Even if we spent every penny we earn on staff and systems to ban bots which would mean no game updates gold-sellers would still massively outnumber us. Mod Hobagoly says, "Every time we double our efforts, gold-sellers quadruple theirs. We can't continue only using our current methods, throwing more and more resources at it." The only way we can win is to be proactive and take the fight to them." And I think there are already bots out there that can and probably will outsmart Jmods.
  5. It wasn't me! It was that guy!
  6. Of course, but it gets to the point where you have a predefined formula for every slayer monster and its really not that variable. I think killing stuff is relatively fun as well, but its pretty much the same for me, slayer monster or no slayer monster. In the limited slayer i did it was pretty much just moving from monster A to monster B with full inventory of food and laughing at how cheap safespots are. PVP, quests, and some minigames (mostly the PVP related ones) is the only thing i actually enjoy in runescape, everything else feels like a grind if its done to excess. Though i can see how making monsters literally fall apart around you would be interesting, personally ive never got to this level in slayer/combat and probably never will so i can't really comment on how fun slayer is at higher levels. I agree with the PvP part of your response. You can never get too much of it, really. On Topic; I'm not sure what to base my "Guest" article on, really. What's a good topic to start out on?
  7. The big bang theory is the fun part, the yew longbows are just there. You don't see me going watching a movie commenting on how fun it was to sit in the seats and eat the popcorn, its the MOVIE thats fun, not random filler crap that you decide to do while watching the actual fun thing. Thats because (from my limited TD knowledge), TD's actually require a degree of human interaction to kill, as opposed to watching the same 20 second loop go 300 times with a minimal of mouse movement. But you can feel a sense of achievement from anything in life, so its best not to complicate matters by including a sense of "achievement", Thats because having a good time with friends actually IS fun, fletching yew longbows for X hours is not. Its not fun, period. If it is in anyway fun i could probably attribute that to external stimuli like talking to friends or watching a movie, in which its still not fun, its the external stimuli which is being fun. Funny, I thought you were disagreeing with me. Seems like you agreed with most of my points.
  8. As we don't have any evidence, I can safely assume "no". How are you going to remove something that has been sold through the GE?
  9. Why would you define fun as 'Doing things that aren't efficient or profitable'?
  10. Good to know I'm protected from guthix in gwd. I don't think I added the Guthix/Sara/Zamorak part to it. The submissions get editted sometimes lol. I didn't really read the times this week, seems a bit too much like the typical article
  11. People who throw things out of a window. People that just smell. People with annoying signatures or avatars

  13. Lol, I hope that's sarcasm. Meat is no longer an animal, that can feel anything. No I'm being totally serious. I believe frying or boiling or roasting or griling meat is disrespectful toward the meat and should be stopped. It is a very wrong and painful procedure. But I understand these tactics are employed by majority.. thus I try to purchase as much meat as possible and eat it raw to spare it otherwise being cooked by another customer. Meat no longer feels pain after it's dead (unless you cook things alive), and it doesn't stop it from being dead. Ah, but it would be wrong to fry, boil, roast or grill meat dead or alive. That's what vegetarianism is all about: preservation of animalkind, and thus further destruction of plant-life. And that's why I started a campaign called project S.P.A.M: Stop People Afflicting Meat. Mission - DON'T HURT THE MEAT! Be a good vegetarian! Annihilate the veggies instead! *Eats carrots and lettuce ruthlessly* Popular misconception; Plants can't feel anything. They are sentient beings, hence, you shouldn't kill them for food. Nor should you breath, for you are killing thousands of microbes every breath you take. For anyone that disregards microbes as 'living organisms'; You are a size-ist. Be ashamed. Be very ashamed But if I don't breathe, my body will not serve a promising vessel to those poor bacteria. I am sacrificial but not unreasonable; the genocide of hundreds of microbes globally will not stir my sympathies like the demolition of the homes of thousands of dependent bacteria would. Wrong. A dead organism is easier to invade than a living organism.

  16. This and the above. You get more food per unit of land from plants, so a diet with more plants would be the way to go if we have to sustain a massive population. Of course, none of that matters if we can't distribute it well, deal with water shortages or soil infertility, or have a population that is simply too big to sustain. Poor distribution is a root cause of the world hunger problem. Seeing that the average American throws away roughly half their food, having twice as much surely means throwing out more, right?
  17. I believe this thread deserves a little bump. I agree with the OP. Fun is extremely subjective. Fun to you may mean fletching Yew Longbow's for 12 hours whilst watching The Big Bang Theory, whilst fun for me may mean killing Tormented Demons with a Steel Titan, hoping for a Claw drop. Feeling a sense of achievement, big or small, can be perceived as 'fun' for most. 'Fun' could also mean having a good time with friends. Ah, Semantics. One question; Is it fun to train cooking for hours, for a skillcape? If it is, what's fun about it? Are you sure it's the cooking/fletching that's fun, or is it the time spent doing something else?
  18. That's the thing you see. Harsh treatment of animals exist, but that doesn't mean that all animals slaughtered for meat is treated that way. People really need to become more educated about how the food industry works
  19. That's not crashing. Do you know what crashing is?
  20. Lol, I hope that's sarcasm. Meat is no longer an animal, that can feel anything.
  21. In other words, instanced bosses - which, sorry to say, has been mentioned earlier multiple times Doesn't have to be instanced to be a Resource Dungeon. Frost Dragons are shared...
  22. Flawed, yet quick fix solution I've randomly thought up; Boss Resource Dungeons. Just requires a new boss.
  23. Please, propose a solution to crashing then. Remember folks, we don't live in an ideal world. It must be a practical JaGex update too.
  24. Odd fact; According to studies, 40% of all text on the internet (including emails, facebook, etc) is misinterpreted. This is usually because what people are saying is being filtered through their own emotions. If the reader is annoyed, it'll probably make them angry. On Topic; Crashing isn't always deemed morally "right". But morals aren't worth much on RuneScape, no matter how much you try and claim it is. It doesn't make you richer, or faster, or better, or feel morally superior. Being "nice" only costs you, in time, effort, and money. More crowded spots are bound to be crashed, there's no way to go about it. As I've stated before, until JaGex instances boss areas, we will always have competition. Direct, or indirect. But I always like going back to the basics. Semantics. Crashing what, where, and how. For me, the word "crashing" means "fighting for a world, in order to obtain a limited resource". I would instantly visualize Graardor hitting a level 120 with Black Dhide Top, Vskirt, Bgs, Rune Boots and a Strength Skillcape with Piety and Supers. It isn't "wrong" to crash at Bandos. Every world is full of maxed players, and it's impossible to get a world without crashing. It is arguably wrong to crash a team of level 80's at KBD on a LS world, because you can get a better world within 2 hops, as bladewing has pointed out. We haven't explored the ethics of crashing mining spots, pre LRC. Is it right, or wrong, to 'steal' a world at a mining spot?
