Well if the game recognises that theres 7 familiars it'd use 7 scrolls so I really doubt there's any gain in there, but It'd be cosmetic or it'd be an immediate fix No, the game mechanics doesn't allow that. Basically the familiars are nulled, so they will follow you, and fight (defend) for you, but the BoB/scroll abilities all disappear.

That's pretty common actually, most people grow out of it but urges do sometimes occur. An obsession of mine would probably be... drinking things in the wrong container. I'd drink orange juice quite happily out of a bowl, or wine glass ;o I hate typos, and grammatical errors. I always feel like bringing a pen to correct them. "This company does not except cheques"
