Firemaking, not a newb 99
No skill should be considered newb. Still Firemaking is one of the easier and cheaper skills to get to 99. You don't get profit from it as with fletching though. I trained from somewhere in the 50's to 92 (for adze) in about 2-3 weeks. 92-94 with the help of the adze and 94-99 in 2 weeks. So it doesn't take very long, but longer than Hunter  It still needs a lot of dedication as you pointed out.

secondary items for phoenix?
They didn't really do it with While Guthix Sleeps. It had it in the BTS, but it wasn't announced to be the title. So the name of the quest might be in the text, but just hidden. Maybe the quest is just called: The Phoenix. Ya, i know what you mean. I just hope it counts as a quest :? Most likely it will. The summoning tutorial quest (Wolf Whistle) counts as a quest too. I also think the req for this quest is the summoning lvl required to summon the Phoenix, wich will propably be near lvl 50.

The Godsword is the Highest Level Player Made Item
Hmmm it seems like you want to avoid my arguement at all costs now. What I'm obviously trying to say is that the supply is controlled by monster drops because monster drops are completely random and cannot be produced according to the player's whim. That's why you can't create high level items because then they would be too cheap. There are over a million people playing runescape... If you were to have a new high level creatable then whoever can make it will constantly make it until there is an oversupply of them. Alright now counter this with a "No 99 Melee you seem to be talking nonsense. Let's move on.." But that's not the point of the thread is it now? I also think skills should have a new way of moneymaking. Some cool 40 mill (or so) worth items for skillers might be a great introduction in the game. As long as they are not too common.

The strange voices in the ruins
Yea, some dude brought it up to release a "new theory". Anyways, I was just wondering if Jagex would introduce new spirit realms in time, and if so, that they involve hidden miniquests like Ghostly Robes and Shadow Sword.

secondary items for phoenix?
And looking at the phoenix mini game image: I think its safe to say, you will need to burn some logs on the phoenix alter to receive some phoenix ashes which will be the second ingredient. Because its a Dis&Div mini game, it will only be available once a day/week, so you wont be able to mass produce them. Nice theory. I support it.

Firemaking is so boring!
You can go to the GE and start making fires in other peoples lines to get them mad. Always amuses me. Music also works fine.

secondary items for phoenix?
I think it's going to be something completely new, or ashes. Besides, I think the Phoenix is going to be a mediocre summoning familiar, with a req lvl of something near the 50's.

Creating new life in old places... But how/where?
Entrana has the Law Altar and is the place to be if you want to start glasblowing. Still almost nobody does that, so it might need a new addition. Rimmington has an excellent yew wc spot, especially after Rocking Out. I agree on Morytania. The only decent places to go are the Barrows, Port Phasymatis, Slayer Tower and canafis and the underground tunnels, wich are only a small part of that big place. Prifddinas doesn't excist yet, so doesn't belong in this topic. Yanille has the closest House portal to bank and the Magic Guild (closest Essence mine to bank) and Castle Wars is still popular. So I see no real need in that one.

Creating new life in old places... But how/where?
Who said I stated to build a large city in that empty space? I said a *minigame* He didn't quote you either, so don't comment on things not related to what you said. Does the wildy need a new minigame though? There are allready a bunch of them there.

Random Events to be Changed/Removed soon?
He also gives bad rewards. I mean, why would you want to switch a herb for a potion without getting herblore exp? Clean cadantine (1,442 gp) -> Super restore(4) (9,532gp) = 8,090 gp profit. Only reason I like him. You need to have cadantine with you then. How many people have that with them?

Big mining and RC updates soon?!
Hilarious. Are you asking me to flame you? I have my doubts because Jagex never does what they say they will do, and if they do it's never on time. They got an entire year to fix "niggles," so I'm sure that can't be too hard.. Oh, and why do people think any small thing is a big [wagon] thing coming? Look at all the crap people thought was going to happen over the past year, see how much came true. Ex. Sailing Being more pessimistic I see. Anyways, why should things people think that are going to come, have to come out? Sailing is still an option. The biggest thing we have that this is more than a bug is that only 2 skills have it. Why shouldn't the other skills have it if it were just a bug that says nothing?

Creating new life in old places... But how/where?
Chompy Bird Hunting... Meyerditch needs something new too. Maybe in a new quest. Rimminton has Yews Training Ground near Ardougne is a well-known 99 ranged training place. And Seer's Village will get an achievement diary. What more do you want?

Your least favourite update of 2008.
I see you have 90 summoning.

I bet it's here within a week.

Random Events to be Changed/Removed soon?
Well, as Jagex stated that 2009 will be an update (of previous released content) year, we will see a change rather sooner than later.

2nd January 2009 - Behind the Scenes 2009 // January
As stated in one of the previous posts: Jagex never mentioned it being released in January. Reread the BTS December to make shure if you want.

What's this with the NEW head of Runescape? Has there been some sort of change I'm not aware of?

Hmmm The increase of the log-out timer has its ups and downs appereantly. Still, aren't the 90 seconds enough to get you killed when your connection is lost?

Big mining and RC updates soon?!
Jagex said something of a new distractions and diversions when they announced the Phoenix. Maybe they are expanding that idea.

Big mining and RC updates soon?!
A shame really. It's an excellent way to train. As for the tabs that are not existing, maybe it's just a bug. But then again, why would it be with only these 2 skills?

Your least favourite update of 2008.
Don't you mean Falador instead of Varrock, since that came out before 2008. Whats wrong with the prayer shield? Yes, I meant Fally obviously :P And nothing is wrong with the prayer shield, it DOES have the most prayer bonus of any shield, but I probably would never use it because I'd rather either be using zammy book for the offensive bonuses, or DFS if I need defense. There's nothing particularly WRONG with it, it's just that it's nowhere near as useful as the other rewards; at least for me (I don't farm :P) It's a free daily pray pot. You get your 90 pray back with 2 clicks.

:( What did I do :(
So no real need to report him in my opinion.
