RuneScape Information

  1. I have always respected, and always will respect the quest cape. If i see it lined up against skill capes, to me it seems like more of an accomplishment as it needs constant effort to have one, whereas a 99 is complete once you've got it.. I think it takes a different type of skill to be able to get the quest cape.
  2. I've been playing Runescape for quite a few years, and personally i've never heard of "Mechscape" :S However as many people have said; i think i'll be staying with RS as it seems more interesting as it hasn't been modernised.
  3. I'd say that essentially runescape helped to improve my time management (not just in-game) as i've had to complete all my college/school work, and on top of that i played, so in some ways its helpful, but i can see how it could be thought of as a time waster.
  4. i know many people have been saying people don't cook at ge, but i've been f2p for a few months now, and everytime i visit the ge there are people cooking on fires there. He has a point, although admittedly it isn't as extreme as he made out.
  5. Everyone plays for their own goals, or there's no point in playing really... if someone's goal is to achieve a 99 that you don't particularly want then so be it... but it doesn't give you the grounds to discredit their achievement... I have 99 hunt and cook, and people respect the hunting skill more, whereas i see the cooking much better as it's actually useful... no longer burning fish etc. And yeah, i'm going for 99fm, and yes, it's because i want the cape, but that's my goal, i don't really care whether it would help me so much in the future, it's a goal so i would want to achieve it..
  6. hey, good luck with 99fm! you seem to be more commited than me :P i started for it way back in january ^^
  7. i was a "skiller noob" for a few years, and in the end i just found it quite funny :) It works well to agree with everything they say as well, then they usually give up and walk off swearing :)
  8. Yeah, i agree with funky_nappy. When i wanted to cook and fish, i fished at barbarian village until my goal, and then cooked all of my fish seperately. Also, do things like cook all of the trout, and then salmon to get that extra bit more exp you could have lost by burning. Another method i've heard of is to fish and cook at lumbridge on the river lum by the goblin house, and then sell the fish to the general store. good luck!
