How come before your name it says "Sir" in red? Seeing this question SO MUCH, as well as the people asking "HOW U GET AURAS SO SOON IT'S ONLY THE FIRST MONTH" just makes me want to facedesk repeatedly. It's a new, tacky title you can get from the loyalty program. The only update I saw regarding that program was that it may or may not fail. I didn't know it was out. I bought the prayer aura. Best one? Depends what you use it for, but for general usage (slayer/bossing), yes, reverence looks like to be the most useful, and it also saves you the MOST points by buying it on sale (4600 point saving is pretty decent.) Maybe knock-out for slayer could be decent, but that'll require faaar more testing before any comment can be made. I personally went with Sharpshooter, but I Nex a lot, and while reverence is very useful at Nex as well, I feel that Sharpshooter will be slightly more useful due to the increased frequencies of hits, as well as ruby bolt specs, and this will make the kill faster, less annoying, and everyone will lose less pray anyway. Doesn't matter anyway, I'll still have both in 2 months regardless of the order I buy them in. Rest of the stuff is so crappy, the only other aura worth CONSIDERING is Jack of all Trades, but that's 15k points, so see you in like 6 months, the titles (except King and Wunderkind) are tacky and every single person will have Sir, the outfits, while some may think are nice, aren't really that great, and all of the best emotes (apart from catfight which I bought L) cannot be bought yet.

Don't complain. Sell yours for 15m now (like I did,) pocket the money, walk away, come back in 1-2 days and pick up another for like 3m when all of the absolute morons quit panic buying. And just keep it green.

Got the Sharpshooter aura (for Nex, OFC,) and had 100 points left. So I had to make a choice (because I might as well spend all of my points while everything is on sale, right?) . Go with a tacky title that trillions of people will have? Or go with the catfight emote. I went with the catfight emote. Next on my list is the Prayer Aura, then the Jack of All Trades Aura, then the ROFL/Levitate/Breathe Fire/Surrender emotes when they are next on sale, i'm not paying full price for one (and maybe the Storm emote, it must be decent if it's 4x as much as the nearest one, but i'll see it first if I like it,), then the KING TITLE (only after I've spent all useful points on all current useful auras) Then i'll probably save my points. But there's the next 6 months worth of pointspending planned out, and obviously if any better auras that ACTUALLY affect gameplay come out, then i'll make those a high priority. Don't like the clothes. They look tacky and i'd rather wear stuff that I gained through in-game benefits.

I would like you to explain how any of the responses are trolling. We are providing honest, effective solutions to ensure an adequate balance of profit and efficiency based on the OP's question. And also, if you have a problem with someone, calling them a jerk is generally not the right way to solve it :) To add on to what Obat kindly said, please take the initiative to report posts you believe are trolling rather than encouraging them by responding to them. I'm sorry but a 15 second reaction time to gtgd or moving the gt to your gate completely ruins floor times and people who do that are unwanted. I'd understand if it was different techniques that you needed help with but your problem was using the same amount of effort in the dungeon that you would use towards woodcutting Ivy, and that doesn't fly. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous. It severely inhibits the rate that the floor opens up, the keyer cannot do as much, so yes, it does affect floor times Also it does not show that you have the right attitude because if you think it's fine to waste 15 seconds here or there, sooner or later it will add up. It's fine to mess up, and apologize for it, i've personally done it a multitude of times, but to just get so defensive about it to the point that you make screenshots and try to defame DGS is wrong. If you have any issues, you're free to PM any of the ranks in-game or use the PM system on TIF, but this is not the right place to do things.

I've DGed plenty of times with USA, and if he's calling you those things you PROBABLY did something to deserve it (like afking or idling) Those are the only times I was spoken to - was I supposed to quote calls for doors and keys instead? :rolleyes: I did nothing to deserve the flames - I was being flamed before I even finished crafting cosmics/astrals in the start room. If it took you more than 15-30 seconds to make astrals and cosmics in the start room when there was a GD to be done (which sounds exactly like what happened, I don't believe your "flamed for no reason" story at all), then yeah, I think it would be justified to be angry at you for wasting time.

What does that do? Troll invasion is too hard. I die all the time on like the 5th wave and get 1k exp. It sucks.

If you use a glory to teleport to Al Kharid every time your magpie runs out, you can smith your own gold ring for a new one and save a few GP that way too. Just only make one ring at a time, and make a new one every time your magpie dies.

Don't forget to never repair your pouches until they're COMPLETELY broken. It wastes time because you have to NPC contact, which takes aaages.

That's all well and good. At Nex however, the amount of damage THE WHOLE TEAM takes depends largely on how fast you can take down her blood/zaros phases, and quite a bit less on individual bonuses. And i've been in teams plenty of times where we've had to do an extra blood siphon because we fell JUST SHORT of being able to get her to call Cruor, in which case the +2 ranged attack to the whole team could mean the difference. Trying to compare Nex to any other boss in RS right now just isn't possible. She's a whole new ballgame, as far as bosses go. I would agree with you though, that at solo armadyl, an onyx (i) would probably be the better option, as you are the only one taking damage and Kree has far lower defence than Nex does, so the range attack bonus matters less.

This. I don't really think an archer (i) --> warrior (i) switch is worth the inventory space. Onyx is great because it gives good slash and range bonus, while also providing more defence than any ring - it makes her miss more. Yes, she'll also tank less, but ideally everyone will have the onyx ring so this won't be a case of someone being selfish. You should be using a ring of vigour for specs. Getting in 10% more specs, as well as the non-trivial +3 str bonus is far more useful than +6 slash bonus. It was never a debate of specs, it was a debate of +2 Ranged vs +6 in Defences (archer (i) vs onyx (i)) when you're ranging Nex, and I still stand by the fact that +2 Ranged for everyone on stages that are a pain (like blood) will help more than slightly more defence.

I don't know why TIF necroed this thread by moving it to the Metagame board. It has been proven time and time again (through both anecdotal and empirical evidence,) that rapier trumps CLS EVERYWHERE except (debatably) Bandos. You may as well switch the title to "chaotic rapier vs longsword (at bandos)", because anyone who says that CLS is better than rapier at anything like DKS or Slayer is either ignorant, trolling, or trying to play devil's advocate.

The only boss where accurate MAY be better than aggressive is Nex. But there are so many other things to consider with Nex (switching your rings, and other gear as well (void/bandos switches for claw specs,) and actually being the right distance away from Nex to minimise damage as well as avoiding all of her special attacks,) that such a small bonus is negligible. Not to mention that the default for the rapid attack style for firing your bolts also puts your claws (when you do whip them out) on aggressive anyway, so it's not really worth wasting the time and effort switching your claws to accurate every time you use them unless you are like Jesus with your switching skills and use of F-keys. A general rule would be that agressive stance trumps accurate stance everywhere. This may deviate according to your personal stats, but for a maxed player, this statement holds true everywhere.

And if you brew-share like you're meant to be doing, Range attack bonus is far more useful than Magic Defence bonus at Nex. 1. Alot of people use rsof teams, and they dont share as often. 2. Onyx (i) gives both magic def and ranged offence ..and plz remember this is a topic about where the onyx (i) ring is usefull; NOT your individual nexin teams, and if they share food/tanking or not. I know it does. I would take +2 Range attack over +6 Magic Defence at Nex any day, especially with phases like Zaros and Blood (in particular) where you need to OutDPS her in a small time interval, especially for smaller teams, or it'll end up taking a LOT more time and you'll take a LOT more damage. And the offensive bonuses other than the ranged attack one don't mean jack (at least for the pure ranging setup, if you want to hybrid then I'd agree that onyx (i) is up there in usefulness,) because the only time you should be meleeing is when you claw spec, and when you claw spec, you should be bringing a ring of vigour switch. So it all comes down to +2 Range attack (Archer's (i) over Onyx (i)) versus +6 Magic defence (Onyx (i) over Archer's (i)), and i'd take +2 Range Attack over +6 Magic Defence anyday.

And if you brew-share like you're meant to be doing, Range attack bonus is far more useful than Magic Defence bonus at Nex.
