Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
I think you should also do a warped floor guide. Information on warped is harder to get from other guides, and being someone who just unlocked their first warped I have no idea about the new puzzle rooms/monster weaknesses/monster killing order/boss tactics. Died 4 times at Dreadnaut today. That's right. Dreadnaut.

how to spec several times with korasi's sword?
Definitely spec Xferring. People got wise to this and started having mage pray on their list of quickprays. This was a very crude method that only lasted for the first few days of New wildy, before people got wise to it. So what me and a couple of other people started doing was teleblocking, entangling, then doing a D scim -> claws -> claws -> korasi combo (with a ring of vigour.) This had the advantage of only needing one spec transferrer, and as long as you transferred right as they did the D scim spec, the energy would go to the person after the first claw spec (taking their bar from 0% to 100%,) and meaning you could then do the second claws and korasi. It was all about timing. D Scim would keep their protect from melee down for exactly 2 claw specs, they were bound and teleblocked, then a korasi finished them off. It made it so that you could literally kill any rusher if you got lucky enough with your specs. They couldnt pray, they couldn't teleport, and even if they spammed brews, it would be nearly impossible for them to tank 2 good claw specs AND a good korasi spec without any protection prayers. I personally made about 100M from it, but then a lot of rushers complained en masse, and they took spec transfer out of single again. It's a shame really. No one should be virtually invincible (like rushers are right now, as long as they have protect from melee up,) in the wilderness. They should either take out the ability to PJ (like in the old Bounty Hunter worlds,) or add this back in as a deterrant to rushers.

If you're gonna post a phraseology test, make sure it's not actually TRUE. Primal pick = More Prom Ore = Multiple bloodragers for each person = WINNING.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
Careful not to misquote me there. When I said "half the TIF forum leaving," I was using that in a hypothetical sense. I was just illustrating that having ANY amount of people leaving and making a second, unaffilliated site will cause BOTH sites to be weaker than if the site stayed united.

Fasted Gold Charm Droppers
I'd highly suggest slaying for your charms. Waaaay back when Summoning was released, Jagex stated that slayer monsters would have a high rate of charms, and that turned out to be true. Many slayer tasks such as Greater Demons, Black Demons, Skeletal Wyverns, Waterfiends, Nechrayeal and Abyssal demons have very decent crimson charm rates, and there are other tasks (such as gargoyles, dark beasts, ice strykewyrms and aberrant spectres,) that give a decent proportion of blue charms as well. Also slayer has the benefit of giving Slayer exp, decent combat exp, effigies, and good money on certain tasks However, it would be better if we knew your combat stats and your slayer level, as well as your current summoning level, so we could know what pouches you could make, and what monsters you could slay/kill.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
It's not really a long post Timmeh :wall: Basically, a large amount of people were banned over discussion of the banning of Bladewing for "trolling," when many people believed that he wasn't a troll and provided some of the most applicable information on the forums. The moderators reacted quite badly to the situation with quite a few false bans and inflammatory comments, the "efficiency community", in turn, decided to make their own site and many rogue members defiled the TIF forums with spam threads, mass trolling, and pornography images. That's the long and short of it.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
That is why I want to assure that it has nothing to do with intentions. If moderators didn't have good intentions, then no one would even want to post in the first place. I keep singing the praises of both sides, saying that their points were both right, and their intentions were both right, and I may come off looking like a sycophant, but I don't care, because it's true. It is events like this that bring the sobering truth that everyone is fallible, everyone is human, and everyone, regardless of their status or repuation is capable of making a mistake. The most important thing is learning from the mistake, instead of just trying desperately to reverse it. What is done is done, these people will, in all likelihood, not come back, but you can employ tactics in order to avoid events like this from transpiring ever again.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I've barely been skimming TIF the past week (update topic and pictures, that's about it); this so-called "[cabbage]storm" pretty much went its merry way over my head too, but I'm understanding the gist of it. However, I remember checking Mr. Martyr's forum profile and finding it didn't say banned, so I was confused. Someone can PM me an unbiased, succinct account of events if they wish. And to be honest, I didn't even know "trolling" was going on anywhere but GD. And further honesty, I didn't know what the damn word meant it was being thrown around so recklessly. And sorry, OP, I know this isn't really what this thread's about, so... OT: The dust will settle whether or not zionists wish to go through the pains of staying and rebuilding or simply escaping to some haven... I have no doubt that the dust will settle. I have no doubt that everyone will end up where they want to be. My concern is that, if the moderators/a large amount of TIF posters in general do not modify their behaviour, that similar events will occur more frequently, and with more intensity.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
Again, it is all well and good to want to go off topic and talk about efficiency vs. fun, whether the moderators were right or wrong, anything you want, but this topic really isn't about this. It is about the way in which this was all carried out by the moderators and the parties in questions, and their behaviours limited to the past few days, not all of their posts they've ever made ever. No one will win in these sorts of arguments, as there are two or more sides to all of these issues, but what I think most, if not all people agree upon is that the actions of both the moderators and posters were WRONG. Not their point. Their ACTIONS.
-
Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
The problem is, the party in question aren't protesting the deletion of spam. They agree that anyone can do that, it's just that when the moderators misconstrue advice as trolling/spamming, then they go to the argument that the moderators aren't active. Nonetheless, I would like to stress that this topic is NOT ABOUT THE REASONS WHY THESE PEOPLE ARE LEAVING. There are plenty of topics about this already It is to do with the actions of the moderators and of the people leaving themselves. You can have the most valid point in the world, (and don't get me wrong, I think BOTH sides have right and valid points,) but when you go about implementing it in the wrong way, it doesn't matter how right your point is.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
If this is true, then I hope, for your sake, that you take note of the people who are migrating to your new board and watch them closely.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
First of all, I never said a whole no rules board, just a certain sticky. Second of all, if this sort of behaviour was, not allowed, but more tolerated in certain areas, the people who troll/flame/spam will feel more validated because there is a legitimate area for them to get their point across. Thirdly, if there was this sort of open sticky that existed, the moderators could be more harsh, like they want to be, on the rest of the board, and if any complaints arise, they can just point to this sticky and say "it's there, why didn't you use it." And fourthly, this thread is not about the initial behaviour of "effiiciency trolling," it is about the backlash that resulted. That is why I neglected to mention the issue of efficiency in my original post.
-
Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I can't say I really agree with that. Two forums, yes, but weaker? I think it's pretty clear from the attitudes of all the various parties that Tip.It was very fragmented. Separation, at the very least, means there's less hurt to go around. You can't deny the fact, however, that a smaller posting base would mean there would be less variety in the issues brought up, less traffic to the site, less credibility and prestige (like it or not, being the forum to one of the leading Runescape help sites comes with a LOT of credibility,) and just less activity in general, even if the fewer people who posted were more intellectual. I'm not saying the quality of the posts would be weaker, i'm saying that the site as a whole, in many ways, would be much weaker.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
A forum with no limits would be pretty cool, but you'd have to draw a line somewhere. I don't think flaming is acceptable under any circumstances, and in a forum like that, I'm sure flaming would be much more rampant :\ I'm not saying anything definite, there just needs to be an area where feedback can be public, and allow for people's emotions (so maybe be a little bit more lenient on some of the rules.)
-
Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I agree with this, but the thing is, a lot of the people who are trolling/flaming/spamming do not usually behave like this, which is why they feel that they can get away with it, because they have a common cause and not a large amount of warnings/bans.
-
Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
To be fair, so did the people protesting against them. Nobody came out of this looking pretty. Regardless of how badly the mods may have been, there really wasn't any excuse for what some people did to protest them, and I say this as a person who before today probably would have agreed with most of what was being said. Which is exactly why I'm disgusted with both sides' behaviour and I think it's going to have quite dire consequences. A lot of people are leaving over this. And I'm not trying to be a fear-monger, it's absolutely true. This is a major issue, and if this thread happens to be hidden or locked, or the people who are angry with the moderation come and just destroy this thread by trolling/spamming it, then I think it just shows that NEITHER community is worth being in.
