I disagree. How is it fair that by accident of simply being born across the ocean from the eventual Jagex HQ that I have absolutely no opportunity to attend this event? Yes I can purchase the ticket and redeem the item if I seriously wanted to, but why would I put that money into an event and get 5% opportunity 'payback' than I would if I actually lived in England and could attend? I don't know. Call me bitter..but this doesn't seem fair. You are being bitter, and I say this in the nicest way possible but I think it's a disgusting quality you should try to drop. If the event were held in the United States would it be "fair" to anyone in any other part of the world? People in the UK who think like you do would say "No, it's unfair!" but the answer is yes. It's entirely just. The Jagex headquarters are in the UK. Why would you ever think they would hold them somewhere else? Do you also think it's unfair that people who were born and raised in Hawaii or LA or Manhattan get to be there but you have to buy a plane ticket and hotel fair? Think about how absolutely irrational you're being. The item in question is like a box of steaks you get when you buy a Bentley. Do people buy a car because they want a free box of steaks? No. They buy a car because they want a car, and the steak is like a little incentive or added bonus. Should people have the money to fork out to buy a ticket to an event they won't go to simply because they want a pixelated banner in game, then let them. How does that negatively effect you? What is it taking away from what you already have? Amen.

Nobody is forcing you to do it. Your doing it of your own free will yet complaining about being forced to participate. And that's really sad. But it'd be much less work and money to simply hoard my charms, so why wouldn't I do it if I knew to expect another bonus weekend within a reasonable amount of time? One of the clinches of MMOs is that you do feel forced to do certain things, and bonus exp weekends are one of those things (many MMOs have them regularly). Are there any skills that you do not enjoy doing? Do you train those skills? Why? Because you feel that you have to. And that's really sad. But you cant really blame Jagex for that, can you? :? And that's...wait, no.

That is precisely it. Is it THAT hard just to read this?? From what I can understand, he is ranting how difficult it is to go from p2p to f2p because of how inconvinient (dont know how to spell that) it is. Cant be that hard to understand. <_<

Many solo'ers do just that. Gear = armor and weapons, right? I doubt anyone is going to kick say, a Bulwark Beast to death...

Don't listen to this man. I'm cb 136 and I take on bosses with armor less than argonite if I have to, and I come out of the fight alive. +1 Ive only died twice so far soloing, and the best armour I can make is a mixture of Fractite and Zephyrium. -1 solartide, you only have 38 dungeoneering, what would you know? the problem with the behemoth is that you really only have 1 shot. It's not like other bosses where you can go in, fight for a bit, warp out, eat back up, rinse repeat you have 1 shot at the behemoth, and you'd be well off not risking yourself by taking low armor. decent armor is more important for the behemoth, than most other dungeoneering bosses. Or you could just use gatestones? Edit: And "you only have 38 dungeoneering, what would you know?" You know not everyone has to be 70+ dungeoneering just to know how to beat the Gluttonous Behemoth. -.-

Get hyped. -
This is what I hate about some groups. Pretty early when I started this skill, I got paired up with another beginner and a guy who just hoarded every item he found. As I was maging, I needed lots of runes and didn't have almost anything because the guy had basically taken everything, even the runes (he was meleeing)! I told him to give me the runes if he doesn't need them, but he just didn't answer. Then, he started making melee equipment and asking us if we needed melee stuff, still not responding to my requests. Then, when I had one of the keys but didn' want to progress before he atleast somehow responded to me, he said something like "you suck, I'm getting out". Yeah, what a way to start a new skill. -.-

Sounds good. I was getting worried that the recharge cost in tokens would be something like 100k tokens. Of course for players with high income it's still propably the best to just use the 2mil for recharging, but with players like me who dont want to see their cashpile getting smaller this is a relief.

I dont understand why do people suddenly complain when JaGex finally releases a skill that isn't AS MUCH of a grind or boring. Sure, it can get boring after a while when you've raided 20 floors in a row, but it's A LOT more bearable than many, or dare I say any other skills currently. I mean, why dont you go complain about crafting, runecrafting and fletching being tedious and boring? Heck, why dont you go complain about all the other skills being boring and tedious. Cause Dungeoneering sure is a lot more bearable to train than almost any other skills.

Just imagine the RSOF if this was to happen. :ohnoes:

Why does Jagex get new skills so wrong?
Rageman192 replied to Slayer_Jesse's topic in General Discussion
This. And besides, they can just make some dungeon raids that are unlocked at certain levels and require you to take your own equipment. Of course you would get to keep the rewards. -

Go play Farmvile then. I really hate that about this skill. There is not one thing about it that can allow it to be defined as a skill. It clearly does not fit any of those definitions. There is not one part in Raiding that actually uses your Raiding level in a logical manner. How can they use it as a quest requirement? Raiding is dumb as the Hit Points skill. What, there's a Raiding skill now? And I dont see what makes Constitution so "dumb"... -
Magic is the most powerful skill in PvP. It's the most accurate combat skill and it has a max hit of 484 with Ice Barrage. Melee gets completely crushed if they're fighting a Mage that knows what's he's doing even if the meleer is wearing black d'hide or Karil's. It's true that Magic barely has any K0 potential, but Magic works via DPS. Magic is very underestimated. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?181,182,815,60825261,goto,1 The problem with magic is that it most of the time sucks in PvM.

I can use specifically constructed traits and opinion veiled as fact to do that too. Watch. I think you'll find this quite shocking: Runescape - A taco 1. Provided by a company - Provided by a company. 2. Can be enjoyed by yourself or with a group - Can be enjoyed by yourself or with a group 3. Extra perks for cash - Extra toppings for cash 4. Token based reward system - punchcard based reward system 5. Grinding levels - Grinding beef 6. Choice between 23 skills - Choice of beef, chicken, or fish 7. Unbelievable amount of hype prior to release of new features - Unbelievable amount of hype prior to release of new tacos 8. NOT A SANDWICH - NOT A SANDWICH (BUT OCCASIONALLY A TOSTADA) *edit* 9. "death" means nothing (you can buy your stuff back) - "death" means nothing (If you drop your taco or it's not right you can get a new one) Need I say more? Hopefully now people will recognize the elephant in the room: Runescape is actually a taco. More importantly, Tacos rule. I almost died of laughter reading that.

I find it somehow ironic that your avatar is a picture of 1000mil gp.

Really? Runescape is not a good game, even considering it's convenience of "playing anywhere". Putting it on a top 200 list would be ridiculous. It was ground breaking back when it came out. Its also very old. Isn't it the longest running MMO there is? Not even close to the oldest. Runescape: Release Date 2001 [source] Neverwinter Nights: Release Date 1991 [source] Note that NWN is not the first MMO, just the first graphical MMO. There were MUDs before it but I'll just ignore them. It's not "ground breaking" in any sense either. The only thing Runescape has is that it was one of the first MMOs to be playable only through a web browser (I'm not entirely sure on this one, I can't remember if Tibia was ever a browser game and it was released in '97) which, like I said before, gave it the whole convenience thing. Still the game just was never a great game (Even though I admit to playing it back in '02 or so and enjoying it). The only reason I even played it in the first place is at the time my parents didn't want to pay for Ultima Online, especially because this was back in '01 and '02 where a lot of people still had dial up and broadband was just starting to come around. As far as longest running goes (may have misread your post but keeping that stuff there just in case) but there are other MMOs that have lasted longer. Ultima Online: '97- Present day [source] Everquest: '99 - Present day [source] ect. It's kind of funny you're on a Runescape fansite forum.

Avatar the game. I haven't even played it myself but when I saw my friend playing it I almost vomitted in disgust.

It's kind of weird when I skipped from page 1 to page 7 and on the 1st page the OP is hyping the game so much and here you are ashamed of mentioning it..
