  1. Manage Thy Kingdom seems to still be glitched for those affected previous to the fix, like has been hypothesized before. Mine was in there for a week, so it seems maybe...the longer it was in there the smaller loot? No idea. Got ~10M from a week, usually get ~3,000 coal, this time I got 14,000, so looks like about a 4x increased?
  2. The slayer update about being able to learn the special trait or whatever they call it, with the hammer, salt, etc: You still need the required item in your inventory but it will auto-kill it once it gets to 0 HP, meaning WITHOUT the requirement of the additional click. This DOES work with Range and Magic as well (from a distance) you DO NOT have to be standing next to the monster to kill it. Edit: The "killing blows" ability.
  3. The "special $4.99 gift" is a wristband... A $5 wristband? Better be made from leather from a award winning horse.
  4. Poison doesn't...never thought of that...good idea. Thanks. Edit: Yup, poison was the way to go. Thank you! Feel stupid for not thinking of it myself, but whatever. Thanks!
  5. I have a pure mage/slayer account and I recently made it member to focus on the slayer part. Turael only works for so long before bats are boring, so I would desperately like to use Mazchna. The only thing separating me from using him is Priest in Peril. Unfortunately, the Temple Guardian is immune to Magic and my strength, attack, and defense are at 0. Will a friend using Vengeance on me work for a kill? I read a ring of recoil kill will not count, but will Vengeance? Can anyone give me some pointers on killing it? I had planned on using ring of recoils and Vengeance Other to kill it, but if Vengeance won't work...then I need another idea. Thanks!
  6. As much as I know better than to think Elves...It's the only conclusion i can come to with this hint. There aren't "old friends" in Ardougne and I wouldn't say we're "friends" with anybody in the Gnome Stronghold, though I remember Jagex saying they wanted to update Gnomes... Only other places I can think of, besides Elves is the Fishing Colony, which I hope not, or the Phoenix Quest, but...there's only one friend there, the guthix priest. Elves here we come!
  7. Well...the icon on the music tab is no longer the harp-ish thing...its like a piece of parchment with a treble written on it
  8. I know a while back people were thinking of the possibilities of new skills...and one in particular caught my eye: Bard. I could easily see this being a Bard skill cape, yes it does look exactly like the music icon, but that could very well change (as well as the cape symbol itself). Edit: Apparently it doesn't look exactly like the music icon >.< It use to...I thought...I'm crossing my fingers for Bard though.
  9. In the west direction, instead of Prifddinas I think it could easily be Soul Wars. The latest Chaos Elemental letter mentions the Nomad there being important (or whatever it says...).
  10. He means like...hidden faces like the Man in the Moon for instance or those burnt pieces of toast Jesus and Mary always show up on...not...figures without faces...
  11. If it is new I don't see it coming out anytime soon. As much of a fan I am of the Elf quest line it doesn't look like its so high on Jagex's to do list. Elves are so 2005, Mahjarrat are so 2009-until Jagex decide Mahjarrat are so 2009 and the next [bleep]'d quest line becomes Monkeys. I don't have terribly high hopes for Priffdinas...with Jagex thinking minigames are the [cabbage], the entire Elf city will probably be a giant, glitched, overrated, postponed minigame. But seriously...I think we'll get at least one new minigame for the city - possibly something agility related.
  12. Would it be too much to ask for if the ring enchantments carry over after you've enchanted themselves yourself? Could a Ring of Wealth actually provide bonuses and be a bit more useful than a less-than-comforting effect? Does anything know? Has anybody even gotten into the ground floor rewards room yet? >.<
  13. Is it just me, or does gaining rank in this game seem like a very tedious, never ending task? If you win you get 2 rank points, that's 50 wins in order to just gain 1 level. It would take 200 wins to get to the top...400 games if you keep winning. I'm interested to see the higher rewards, at the basic level there's clothing that appears to just be a basic outfit with no bonuses...but I don't have the points nor the patience to get enough points to see if they do provide bonuses... Waiting times are ridiculous...I think this'll calm down after the first week or so but I was getting priority 3 for a good 5-10 minutes before finally getting in... Can you...hide your troops in the environment somehow? I thought there was 3 troops left of one person (me being left with like 6) so I attacked and then the other team burst out with like 7 people...I had no idea what happened and died horribly because of it.
  14. Alright thanks guys. Ape Atoll it is.
  15. I want to go from 71-80 Agility. I haven't trained Agility in over a year and when I did it was using the Agility Arena for much of that. I know I have two options really, Ape Atoll and Agility Arena. Using the tip.it calculators I devised 3 different ways to train to that...but I have no idea which way is smartest: Method 1: 71-75: 1,150 Agility Tickets 75-80: 1,332 Ape Atoll laps The real benefit here is that I could do Agility Arena with high proficiency until 75 where I heard Ape Atoll becomes infallible? Method 2: 71-80: 3,500 Agility Tickets Method Three: 71-80: 2,017 Ape Atoll laps I don't know which method to use as I am highly unfamiliar with the speeds of Agility Arena vs Ape Atoll. Any help would be appreciative.
  16. Yeah, I've been thinking it was going to be like Command and Conquer/Age of Empires those kinds of games, glad to know it looks more and more like it now. I'm very interested for the rewards and if your own skills will play any role in the game. Or if certain quests will allow you to use new characters - such as completing Mourning Ends Part I (this was the first quest where you really partner up with the Elves for a big quest) allows you to control Elves. Or completing Haunted Mine allows you to inflict more damage against Undead monsters. *shrugs* I dunno, I know the above imagination is what is gonna make this game be a failure in many people's eyes but I do expect skill/quest influence on this minigame...if even a little for them to test for future content.
  17. My first Kalphite Queen kill with my best friend. = ) She's so much easier than she's put up to be I think...I used a Keris and enchanted diamond bolts and he used Verac's and we killed him without a sweat. He has 90 melee stats and I have 80. We ended up doing her after we tried to do King Black Dragon for the first time but got crashed halfway through our first kill, then we tried to do Graador but could not find an empty lootshare world. I'm glad we ended up getting screwed and forced into doing her = D
  18. The Tooth Fairy...really? Originally I hated the idea...then I liked it...I'm hating it again though. I'm interested as to when this was actually written to be honest...We received the Chaos Elemental's message months ago and according to this the only thing that had been approved was that the conclusion to the fairy quests would happen. Nothing else had been done, and in that time the only thing that had been done was getting a write up on the plot? It kind of worries me how work efficient Jagex really is... More importantly though, it scares me to know where the Myreque quest, that was talked about in the same Chaos Elemental letter, is in its development. The desert quest seemed to be close to completion...but fairies weren't even close...was the Myreque somewhere in between? *sigh*
  19. I like the little joke videos, but I really like the actual movie previews MUCH more. But I think that's just because I prefer dark stuff over funny stuff any day.. Also, since I wasn't use to the accents having been around English (Americans) speakers my whole life, the voice overs reminded me of watching Harry Potter and Hermione Granger talking. I actually didn't like them all too much, it added a nice touch and the guy that played the Dagan'hai "pawn" (the one who had to fetch the carrot) wasn't bad at it...just reminded me of Harry Potter.
  20. Hey man, sorry I wasn't there on Friday. I got my times mixed up and could not have been there anyways = ( If you need any help though I would gladly helped out. I have both white knight and Dagon'hai costumes as I said before. Username is Lostthepoint, feel free to PM me if you need help. I'll keep watching this thread though if you need help. Again, sorry I missed it.
  21. I really got excited when they said that they were continuing an older storyline...I got my hopes up for Elves. This was definitely not up to their previous Diary's standards, but whatever doesn't bother me much. If the Dwarf quest was a line I cared about I would be pissed I only got a snippet, but since its not, I really don't mind all that much.
  22. Pretty satisfied with the Dragon Platebody. Thank god the arms are different and beefed up more. I was still expecting a bit more gaudy like the Bandos Platebody but it is definitely much more pretty than it was. Love the small upgrade to the legs too - yay for a cohesive set of armor! Range update I found...weird at most. That skill is weird enough to decide on what affects accuracy vs power, let alone now. I'm interested to see now if we get certain equipment that specifically raises the Range Strength of ammunition. Though this does make me worried for the future of Magic even more so than I had been before. I know Jagex has said they are looking into, if not working on, an update to Magic...just want to know when it'll be released and what it is. Only really happy about the Dragon Platebody being updated...Prayer update was rather dumb to me...I never put on two prayers at the same time all the time. On/Off switch is useful, but the multiple prayer is pointless. I wonder if this is the update that a Mod was talking about when he mentioned he was working on a prayer update but needed to test it more because anything related to combat must be tested or something like that... March has been kind of a blah month for me. But I don't mind, new content only seems to put me further and further behind everyone else. Gives me a chance to get my stats up without having to compete with others over locations because there's a new update that requires a high level.
  23. I may or may not be available to help out on Friday. 7 PM is an iffy time for me because its 6 PM my time - dinner time. If I can be there I'll be wearing Dagon'Hai robes. May I ask what we'll be doing though? Since it is at Clan Wars I am assuming it's gonna be a colossal fight? I loved the first trailer, really cool. You're right though, I wouldn't be happy sitting watching it for an hour and a half but I'd gladly watch it in a couple of installments. Christmas special I thought was rather dumb though. Kudos for having the balls to drop a God Sword on the ground = P Second trailer looks quite good as well. I loved the teleporting part with all the Dagon'Hai members though. Looked pretty good.
  24. My best friend played Runescape for the longest time and one day he showed me the game. Well, I liked it (have to say I was really skeptical though) and before making an account I wanted to make sure I knew everything I could about the game before diving head first into it. He showed me this site a few times when I asked about how you attack, what you can attack with, etc. For the longest time I was on tip.it from like 4PM-8PM reading all skill guides, minigame guides, quest guides [though I did not understand them at all], and various other stuff... Needless to say when I finally did make an account I knew more about the game's little things than my friend did ^_^
  25. The Elven storyline really needs to be finished, at the very least updated. I would like to tell myself it'll happen this year, but I said this last year. The update of Priffdinas could suggest it will happen this year, but that update happened a while ago. Myreque quests I think will get updated this year too, they seem to be an annually updated quest. I would love for this quest to really open up the rest of Meiyerditch but...I don't think that'll happen any time soon. I know that broken down ghetto city has another fabulously useful other half... Other than those two quests, I really don't care about any other quest lines...I like my vampires and elves. Jagex seems to hate the latter.
