Nice method, I just used to sit in Falador merchanting barrows armour, I aint godsmackling rich or anything, and I think the prices have plummeted since Ive been off RS so I'd have to get accustomed to all the prices again before doing any kind of buying and selling of any items :wall:

The thing about runescape, compared to other MMO's that I have been playing is it is basically a massive grindfest, sure it has minigames, and there are numerous ways to level the many skills we have, however when it comes to sitting down and wanting 99, you are going to have to Kill X amount of this or Chop X amount of that I always found quests maybe doing a few quests (if you havent done them all) or castle wars as a good bit of fun

Its called balance, if there was one good monster, everyone would use it, the skill would be boring, everybody would not like it as much and all the hard work that has clearly gone into this skill would be washed over by ppl sticking to the one monster. Although whos to say a new monster doesnt come out? Also, am I right in thinking construction is a money-denting skill with little or no return?

Or a place where you spent a lot of time? --- Before POH and pre-members for me (a long time ago) I used to claim my home as the small house up from Port Sarim fishing shop with the cooking range in it, I would buy fish, go "home" and cook there. Fun times in the old days. Funnily enough had I not spent a fair bit of time in Port Sarim (fighting the rats, buying fish, cooking, fighting the men in my house) I wouldnt have became a member, because whilst in Port Sarim fishing shop, a lvl 3 died and had 333k cash, I picked it up and claimed it for my own! This cash prompted me to buy the rune armour I had so craved then I bought members soon after!

im going for 99 attack over the xmas holidays, not specifically for xmas day! figured I could do with another 99 skill

Well, Ive just came back online after a huge lay off of a good few months to the delight that a new skill is coming out, i'll just look for hints in the dev diaries of anything that looks like it should be collected and collect it, although im hoping to get as far as possible on my 99 attack goal before hand, if not, I ll collect stuff afterwards and buy a fair few things id imagine, ive set aside a couple of mill that im willing to blow on the skill when it comes out if needed

bearing in mind most skills are fairly easy to get to lvl 50. (as a rough example) when does everyone think you will start getting the combats added to your level. i cant see you getting 6 levels added on your way to lvl 50 as that would seem a bit uneven, maybe 1 or 2, then from 50 above, the rest at regular intervals...

i dont see why people complain about buyable skill capes, so somebody buys all the lobsters they need for 99 cooking and get 99 cooking. what do they do when/if they get 99 fishing, sell all their fish, therefore making there money back and a bit more if they sold their previously cooked lobsters. buying 99 firemaking can be cheaper than chopping the logs to get 99 firemaking therefore you can sell your logs for more when/if you get 99 woodcutting. It all evens out and you could just say get the "Easier" ones out of th way even though no 99 is easy, they still take concentration and effort regardless, some just a bit more than others.
