Keeping old bosses profitable is a useless thing to do. No benefit, tons of harm. TBH the amount of dead content and bad decisions they make these days makes me think more and more they may do this. Nex armour is already rising because of what Chris L said. The speculation has already caused a 5-6m rise on most pieces within the past 12 or so hours. In fact, at 1pm BST I was buying and selling Virtus: Mask = 23.4; Body = 31.3; Legs = 30.4 Are the prices I bought them for. They're now Mask =27-28; Body = 37-38; Legs = 36-37. (Nex and SS FC values). And the not making much sense is answered by the fact that Nex is Mod Chris L's baby. The whole fiasco of Jagex going back on their word in some ways about PoP armour going to be the best gear, only to get shafted by Nex gear shows as much. And rumours already abound of a Nex instance, hardmode, scaling per-person, and armour buff. Truly they're not done flogging the horse, and the more I think on it, the more I do wonder what Chris L has done. Either Tectonic is going to be T90 Defence armour, shafting ports into near uselessness and non-existence, cept for fashionscape. Or it'll be T90 Offensive, which will take the shine off Virtus, but he'll find some way for it to be incorporated or otherwise.

Dear God. If he does that... Ports will be shafted into non-existence AND Nex gear will not be at a semi-decent buyable price (at least for Virt and Pernix) for a LONG LONG LONG time.

Funny you should mention a cape colour... Been messing with fashionscape for livid: Need to figure out head slot. Only thing I can think of is a Blood n' Tar Snelm. #4 Got bored and went and maged shit with Q's Vbook and Wand... Was fun. Gona crack on with an hour or so of Livid now. Also parents are taking me to Tewkesbury tomorrow... So GF me seeing Viagra release etc. Ah well, smartphone should be smart and be able to keep me up on TIF.

Made about 1m over the evening from it.

Well shit... What a disappointment. I was sincerely hoping that Divination would be out by the end of the month, so I had something to look forward to - a new challenge that was fun and interactive after I finish Livid and MTA and comp cape - but lolnope. I'm much happier that Viagra doesn't actually specifically drop tectonic armour, but instead drops the stuff you need to create it. So depending how many people kill him/how much he drops it might not be too long before we see the first sets of Tectonic being bought and sold. Bacon quest... Eh... Sure I adore bacon. And yes I love British humour, but Draz summed it up: Anyways, just hoping Bacon has a higher healing value than Rocktails. That would just be the best thing ever. Other than that, after a month of nerfs and almost non-updates (yes I count Ascension dungeon and Triskellion as very poor updates - the rate at which Asc bows come into game is too damn slow, hardly anyone bothers with that anymore so they've sat at around 230m for the past 2 weeks. And Triskellion is almost too rare to specifically hunt for) it's disappointing to see yet another month as a let down. I just hope to God that July 5th brings some good news... But I highly doubt it. Ah well, back to getting completionist reqs.

The climbing on him seems to be a distracting tactic, which could be an interesting mechanic. I just hope the climbing thing isn't just a superficial mechanic, ie "We should totally have people climb on bosses, let's try and find a way for them to do it", rather than "It should be a key weak spot of the boss, and players will have to be able to climb to utilise it". Unfortunately I don't hold out much hope for it being anything that isn't either mandatory for each kill, or providing an irrelevant other means to damage the boss. Inb4 memes or photoshops or whatever of a Harry Potter like character shoving a Virtus Wand up his nose.

Have to admit ALG, for a few moments I was thinking of Lambent Berserker's from Gears of War 3. Generally needs people to be intelligent enough to flamethrower it until it opens it's ribcage, then to shoot at the glowy spot it presents. The health they have in online hoard (let alone solo) means people need to band together, and the KO potential is massive so people rely on each other for revives etc. Is forcing group work really that big of a deal to people? Or is it bosses should always have solo capability and be instanced?
