i had the same problem...i just ended up paying a bit more and mailing my money in

personally i have never used either wep since im f2p, but i will base my arguements on what i know of the 2 weapons. the godsword get hit amazingly high but at a slow pace. a whip hits pretty decent at a very fast pace. what i have learned from f2p is that a skimmy beats a 2h every time because the skimmy/whip could hit lets say a 15 and a 15 in the same time the 2h/godsword could hit a 25. added to the fact you wont always hit high with the godsword or whip for that matter. so without considering the money and status symbole factors i would say the whip would be better

well...personally i think it is smart to let someone else do the work for you. will you ever be a big success while taking your time to do thw work? sure, but it will take longer. i will use my science teachers brother as an example. he is planning on writing a book on kayak fishing in new york. but he isnt going to go to all the different places to test them out. he is going to get 22 friends to go to 22 different locations to try them out. then he will have them all write a chapter on their experience. then he will take all the chapters and put them into a book. he will be the author, while they will still get most of the credit. unless you enjoy doing to work ( i personally love to write books lol) let someone else do it for you thats just my opinion of course

plus i others can read it even if its closed so they dont have to ask the same question...its saved me a few times :pray:

welll...i want to make arrows to start my fletching and i also prefer range to mage, plus i need to get it up. any suggestions on when to start slayer?

ok...well i mailed in my money for mems this morning and if it doesnt get lost in the mail like last time :wall: i should become a mem in a week or so. what i need is what to do first? i was planning on doing lost city and making a ton of bronze arrows to kill ht etree spirit, then green drags for money. after that im a bit lost? i will still probably need some money as right now im down to 70k from pking :(

not totally true...your only real chance of getting some decent kills IMO is to no arm at the GE i died there 4 times today and lost about 250k but i forgot to put on prays lol but i know people who can make a steady 100k-1m per death depending on their luck. what you really need to start making some money is just practice

ok i know there is currently another thread out there kinda like this but this will be a bit different...i am currently pvping no arm and i keep dieing...i have died three times (once due to major lag :wall: ) and i need some advice. is there any way to get some assurence of kills? or atleast raise my chances? stats are in sig and my str boosts to 85 with a pot. thanks edit-just died another time...fml

i guess this is how i feel also, in comparison to other skills. smithing has no growing room. I mean you need 75 smith to make full adam when most people by the time they get to 75 smith they are over 100 combat.... ya...i believe the levels need to be decreased. maybe make it so instead of gaining the ability to make a new item per level be able to make 2 or 3 items per level? jagex really cant bring the armour and weapon levels down to be even with the combat req. because then most people would be able to make full rune, thus bringing the price WAY down

i was recently doing some research for a school project when an idea hit me. what if runescapers could wear layers of armour like the knights of old? when knights used to go into battle they would wear different layers of armour, usually a leather or cotton shirt under a piece of chain mail whcih was lastly covered up with plate armor. the same thing went with their helm and their leggings. if this was implemented into runescape what dp you think the effects would be? for example: as i am f2p i will use rune as an example, and for simplicitys sake i will use only the body slot. what if i wore a piece of leather range armour covered up with a piece of rune chainmail and topped with a rune plate. would i get all the defensive boosts? or would i get a different amount from each part? like 1/4 of the leather 1/2 of the chain and all the plates stats?

personally i train my range at the hobgoblins by the crafting guild its never that crowded and there are planty of monsters there to kill plus if you have 33 mage you can telegrab some limps and extra laws

personaly i mine about 200 coal/hr but i get distracted very easily :wall: so its probably higher if you pay more attention

i kinda like this idea. maybe have weapons that you can sharpen? or have them be like degrading weapons that have improved stats the sharper they are and you just need a certain smithing level to re-sharpen the weapon?

ya...it works, but you still cant earn the massive amounts of money as you used to be able to earn, unless maybe you are p2p

ya...but for a f2p player smithing either takes alot of patience to mine your own ores, or an insane amount of money...neither of which most f2p players have you are wrong, it always takes an insane amount of money for a f2per. Getting those ores doesnt make the ores free, you know. In fact, it's better to mine rune, sell it, and buy steel bars or whatever. Things you gather arent free. well technically...if you totally mine all your coal and all your iron/mith/addy/runite it would be totally free minus the price of the pick so therefore...any player f2p or p2p could get their smithing to 99 without paying more than 50k which would easily be albe yo be made back

ya, if jagex tok awasy items then we would never have to wait for our items to sell

i just have one question about your theory. Why? Why would Jagex manipulate the games economy? That would defeat the entire purpose of the GE. And as to proof of items, there really isnt a lot of proof, but look at the merch clans...they maipulate the prices all the time (atleast the big ones do). unless JAgex is secretly behind every single merch clan, that should be proof enough

99 summon gets your 15 combat according to the tip.it combat calculator.... I think you may have been misinformed lol. lol really...plus why would you do soulwars with those stats...you would need a very high slayer level anyways Why? You don't need to attack the avatar to get points, can always bury bones, control the obelisk, and protect your base. i guess thats true...i hvae actually never palyed the game since im f2p :wall: , i was just saying what seemed logical

So basically, bank, superheat, bank, super heat... rinse/repeat? ~Knotch ya...it may seem like it will take longer but to me it doesnt...but you could just experiment with that and maybe some other methods
