not to mention that afk training is against the rules. this thread should be locked.

Hunting imps?
If you enjoy the minigame the best way to hunt them is to sit at the spawn point and bring something to do (alching works great), bring snare runes to use on them so that they don't get away. However they only spawn about once every 1-3 hours so yes potentially you could make 300 k/hour at them but it could just as easily be 100 k, and if thats the case you would make much more money and experience at red chins.

Summoning is awful....
If that is the case then that is really too bad. I mean he technically would be right if being more intelligent would automatically equate being a better society. However I for one would take a thousand "stupid" nice people who want to look out for each other and work towards a better society, than ten "smart" people who want to use their intellect to blow up a mall.

Arrow Stealers..
IMO If your arrows appear on the ground for people to see and take you are not training on the right monster. I don't know what your range level is but there are plenty of guides that will give you a good idea of places to train where you finish off the monster before your arrows appear. I would suggest looking at a few. If you are ranging for money and don't want to go to a lower level monster then you should be making enough money to replace the arrows stolen. Otherwise go kill the lower level monster to get your range up so you can go back to your spot and kill the monster you want to kill for money fast enough to still get your arrows...

Summoning is awful....
Time for my two cents, First of all I'm not even going to dignify the OP with a response because it was so stupid, especially the mathematically challenged line... Secondly, if you want to sterilize the population from being stupid by forcing chemical castration on the stupid people I suggest that you go to a different country to do it. One that doesn't pride itself on Freedom... Also there are many different ways to contribute to society other than by being intelligent. There are many cases in history where extremely smart people have done terrible things. Such as the 9/11 attacks...they were not planned by idiots, it was extremely well thought out and for the most part well executed, it was also one of the most terrible things to happen to this country (I'm from the U.S.A.) in a long time.

[VIDEO] Joegabe3's How To Solo Tormented Demons Guide
If i had wanted a video guide for them I would have looked it up on youtube to start. If anything make a guide on here and add that in at the bottom for people who need the video to reinforce what they've learned.

A Comprehensive Guide for Melee Training (P2P)
Add in the sarasword to your strength calculations. Besides that you might want to look into enchanting your salve ammy for the undead tasks. Also add in dragon boots to your set ups, makes it look outdated if you don't. Lastly look into the ghostly warriors in the axe hut via spirit realm, zombie monkeys, and the armoured zombies from Defender of Varrock.

~*~Troj's Bandits Guide~*~
A better option for pots (for those of you who have it) Would be zamorak pots with the enchanted Excalibur to get rid of the hp and def reductions. Its the equivalent of super attack, regular str potions, and using the spec for the enchanted Excalibur completely removes all the negative side effects.

Slayer Sucks
Lacesso, the bottom line is you can't come into this thread claiming that everything that he has said (which is based on his and others thousands of hours of testing) is wrong when you don't have numbers of your own to show. You can't show up to a professor at college who doesn't have your paper grade and say you got a 98% and get that grade unless you bring in the paper that shows the grade you got. I'm not saying you didn't get the numbers you're saying you did, I'm saying don't expect us to believe you unless you actually show us your data. That being said you can either show us the data or leave.

If you ever manage to prove yourself right, then I'll believe that you're a college student. But until then, that privilege is only reserved for those who understand what even constitutes as logic. Fare well, red herring fisherman. I've already proven myself right, you just fail to realize it. Don't worry, you will when you mature and can understand that just because A+B=C doesn't mean that A=B. But that was probably too complex for you, take an asprin, it will help the inevitable headache.

College calls, I'm afraid that I have no more time to spend on this, the rest has to go to my studies. As much as I have enjoyed pointing out the flaws in your logic, I'm sure compfreak will adequately continue in my absence. I probably won't be back on this site for a week because of midterms so if this thread is still going after I'm done I doubt I will get back involved due to the time it would take to read the dozens of pages you two would undoubtably add during that time. Z, if you ever manage to prove that you're right, I will buy you a cookie. edit "And you failed at reading anything I said. Put it in context, for the millionth time. It will come to you eventually, once you mature." If you honestly think that anything I have said has taken your words out of context then you need to look up what that phrase means, all you have done in this thread is taken a position against all logic and reasoning and acted inappropriately in response to that. If anything you have displayed more immaturity in your logic and reasoning in this post and in your actions that followed than I could hope to amass in my entire life time. But thank you for trying.

And no, actually we've never met, I just happen to like arguing from the side that is correct. compfreak just happens to like the same apparently.

And you have failed miserably to uphold your supposed "logic" in this argument. There is nothing logical about trying to convince me that reasoning and actions based on reasoning are the same thing. You might as well try to convince me that the word air, is actually itself the air.

They are both psychological maturity which is the point here. If you disagree with one of them, then you disagree that psychological maturity exists. That is not the case. They are both coined by psychology as maturity, but that does not mean that they are the same thing. Reasoning based on logic is based on intelligence, it is takes maturity, yes, to be able to do. Maturity of intelligence, which is linked to brain development. Acting on those reasonings is not the same thing as the reasonings themselves. If you agree with that statement then we are arguing over nothing.

So really what I am arguing with you about is the idea that logically reasoning and coming to logical conclusions is the same thing as responding appropriately based on logical conclusions. I am saying that they aren't any more the same than a note on a sheet of music can itself be the sound that we hear coming from a piano.
-

Saying that does not mean I agree with you, saying that two different things can be grouped under the same heading does not mean that they are the same thing.
-

They are the same. Thinking carefully and responding appropriately both mean the same as "doing the right thing" in simpler terms. If you don't think they have the capability to think carefully or respond appropriately, then you are saying they never do the right thing. This is not true. It is nearly impossible to always do the wrong thing (always be immature). And like I said, it is supported by Wiki. This is where you said that they are the same thing.
-

My problem is not that they both are components of maturity, it is you saying that they are the same thing in and of themselves. And it does not say that both are pyschological maturity, it says that maturity is a psychological term that you can use to define two different things.

You talk about not responding to simple logic and yet you say that your thought processes are the same thing as your actions? What is the point of reasoning with you at all? I am not denying what the dictionary says, I read all of the definitions for maturity in your link and the one you specified me to look at can also be categorized as intellectual maturity. Your webster's definition does not say that maturity is slow careful consideration, it says that it is based on that consideration, meaning it is an action.
-
Once a great game. A story/Rant for veteran players.
Two different kinds of maturity. Careful consideration is intellectual maturity, linked to brain development. The second is a maturity that comes with learning the appropriate actions that are a result of your logical reasoning. You can't say your reasoning and your actions are the same thing. Your reasoning causes your actions. It's like saying that reading sheet music is the same thing as the note you hear when you play it. You can easily misread the music, but press the right key out of luck and still produce a melody. That is where I got my comment on variables.

dark bow frustration
Then you haven't tried it long enough. 100 hits is next to nothing, you need at least 10,000 to see any sort of a pattern. True but for most people, recording 10,000 hits is a little taxing on their patience, not to mention their sanity. Anything in the hundreds would give an extremely rough idea of any pattern than could be there. Besides the fact if he is getting into the tens of thousands of hits he is going to be leveling up at his range lvl, which would throw off the results.

1.) "Thinking something out fully and carefully" 2.) "Responding in an appropriate manner" These two statements are not synonymous. Many people all over the world think through complex situations fully and carefully and still fail to respond in the appropriate manner. My brother for instance has thought through fully and carefully all the health problems with smoking, as well as thinking about the fact that he could get kicked out of the school he is currently enrolled in for doing it. Despite 5 years in D.A.R.E. when he was in grade school (meaning he knows that smoking is not healthy) and the fact that it could end is college career, he still chooses to smoke. He thought it out fully and carefully, and responded in an inappropriate manner. I could come up with a dozen more situations like this if you want me to. Thinking something through does not make you mature, and responding appropriately doesn't make you mature, a combination of the two is a part of being mature. Thinking something through is a part of intelligence. Responding appropriately can be luck or a decision based on logic and reason. edit Just because a variable does not depend on the other doesn't mean that they are not related. It's called a correlation.

He is accusing me of lying and meaning something other then what I now say in a previous post. I'm saying I am and was telling the truth, and that he misinterpreted my response when he read it without seeing the underlying discussion. This isn't a 'both of us are right' situation; it's a direct argument about who is right. I did not mean to say that this was a both of you are right argument, i meant to say that he thinks that he is right and you think that you are right. As to him saying that the post was completely irrelevant to the conversation, i believe that was to me. And no Z, it was not irrelevant, I was trying to iron things out and get you both to start from square one so that any misunderstandings that occured due to other posts in the past could be done away with. Now that you have clearly said what you believe is true and comp responded things are cleaner and easier to deal with.
