  1. They can still kill in one hit but juggernaughts can survive closer to the explosion. Because Juggernaughts are almost always rubbish players it helps them survive claymores, as like noobs they almost always set them off. Juggernaughts are peple who know they are going to get hit because they suck, Stopping power players are those who want to kill quickly and more ammo-efficiently as they know they can actually aim, take cover etc and are generally actually decent at the game.
  2. Actually juggernaught is undeniably worse than stopping power as it lets you take increased damage from not only bullets but grenades, claymores, airstrikes, helicopters, exploding cars, c4s etc. Stopping power is necassery on anything other than hardcore or a stealth class, or certain weapons such as the Dragonuv where it doesn't make a difference. Juggernaught is a cheap NH perk and always has been.
  3. That sounds great. I knew they added stat tracking for split screen online on Resistance 2, maybe this will be added on Killzone 2 as well.
  4. The potential is there on both consoles for split screen online as long as the second person's stats are saved.
  5. In the proper version of WaW I used to throw a tabun then a grenade, then stick to the corners of the areas outside.
  6. COD4 was not an "SMG wins game", except on small maps where it would be logical to use an SMG. Obviously an SMG will win at close range, and it would be unfair for a rifle to have an equal chance against it as it would be unblanced as rifles can also perform at range. It is unfair to judge the cod series from WaW, in which weapon balance is broken.
  7. Well trophies came out 6 months after the game. But even Treyarch could be bothered to add trophies to waw so they will be there on release. Also I'm not sure the PS3 is not updated, it got the new playlists at the same time as the Xbox. You're "not sure." I've played both games (cod4 &5) for both systems... Yeah they got maps at the same time... But if you've played both you would be able to SEE the differences.. They've always seemed the same to me. Yes there are slight graphical enhancements on the PS3 but i'd say its negligible.
  8. A success in sales and Zombies only.
  9. I make sure I pop a few extra bullets into people if I find the other team is full of Juggerwhores.

  11. The best thing to happen would be if IW just released all the original maps in an alternate playlist, just like variety map pack team deathmatch.
  12. I'll wait till I see some confirmation before believing this. Though none of it is beyond the realms of possibility. The system of hosting is COD4's biggest problem and if that were fixed, weapons were balanced, maps don't suck, and the game isn't released with massive glitching then I can see it being close to perfect. Basically everything cod5 was not.
  13. Obviously if you dont exercise, eat junk food, and play RS 8 hours a day your going to end up obese. But the vast vast vast majority of people on RS play in moderation and have lives. Obviously if you play RS as a career go jump off a bridge right now.
  14. If hit detection worked properly then rifles or even bolt action rifles might be a lot better. Its a shame as I find them fun to use, especially with bayonets attched.
  15. If theres any kind of crazy [cabbage] going on its down tot he appalling servers. I remember one time everybody became completely invisible before kicking everybody out the game.
  16. Silenced M9 seemsawful when you try and shoot quick.
  17. I'm merely defending myself against Ray's trolling. Hey cannot think of aruments against my points so accuses me of trolling, flaming and being a fanboy. Am i supposed to take that lying down? OT: It seems Nazi Zombies glitches have been entirely fixed. Some guy kept going into last stand when doing them. However the leaderboards haven't been wiped, some asshats still on wave 2147
  18. So? Sony created and popularised an entire new format. Blu Ray quadrupled the amount of data developers can put onto discs. Not to mention Blu Ray movies. I wouldn't call the best, most supported, most used, most active network with the best connestivity "nothing more than a server". Especially compared to the Wii where you cant even talk to others without buying Wii speak, or play your freinds without entering a 12 digit code. Admittedly it can't sell Zune, but then what can? I see more advertisements and games for the Wii than the PS3 and Xbox put together. If you're referring to me I did not create that thread. Actually this shows good judgement on there part as they don't waste their time developing an inferior version. I have more than 2 days play time on WaW. I still dip back into it from time to time, and I play Zombies often. _ Ray I dont have a problem with with WaW or indeed WaW vs COD4, or the Wii vs Xbox/PS3, what I do have a problem with is you saying things that are either simply untrue or that you have no knowledge of.
  19. Christ dont bait the waw fanboys. Not that you're wrong but you expressed it like a [bleep] and without any kind of evidence.
  20. There are quite important differences between the pistols. M9-Lowest power, but 15 round clip and hip accuracy comparable to an SMG. USP-Moderate power and 12 round clip but has hip fire accuracy comparable to an assault rifle. M1917- Moderate power and SMG hip firing but only an 8 round clip. Desert Eagle- Obviously high power, best hip fire accuracy in the game, but high recoil, 7 round clip, and, most importantly, no silencer. My personal favourite is the USP silenced. Decent power and I can get the bullets out quick. Just make sure when you use it you dont hip fire with it.
  21. The controls themselves are reason enough - the Wii could be the first step to those games you see in futuristic shows that show people putting on suits and fighting people. In their current form the controls are not superior, their just different. So the console's potential is only to lead to other consoles in the (most likely distant) future? That could be said about the other 2 as well, e.g the PS3 has brought Blu Ray meaning more data will be able to be stored on discs in future consoles, the 360 brought the idea of a strong unified online service, acheivements, etc.
  22. I remember spending so long out due to freindly fire on HC HQ on shipment. Everyone was killing each other with airstrikes, even the copter tked at one point. [bleep]ing hilarious though, and I got several challenges, like multi RPG.
  23. I agree, same here. But it seems to be the Wii players that are the ones always complaining about lack of maps, or campers, or overpowered guns. That's because no one seems to want to give the Wii a chance when realistically it's the system with the most potential. So much potential that there's no space for patches or updates? The console has potential, you [wagon]. You're trying to compare the PS1 to the PS3, everything improves over time. Don't be such a [bleep]. I dont understand what you're trying to say here. How can there be the most potential in a console with outdated hardware and a lacking online system? From what I gather Treyarch already pushed the Wii about as far as it can go by transferring the cod4 engine to it. How much more improvement can be made to it? I doubt things like Wii motion plus or whatever are going to make a difference to cod5.
  24. TIF's biggest problem is that it takes itself too seriously. Whilst it might be unfair to compare TIF with the RSOF, the RSOF is a hell of a lot more fun due to the randomness, no sycophantic behaviour towards mods/high post counts, much larger population, etc.
  25. I agree, same here. But it seems to be the Wii players that are the ones always complaining about lack of maps, or campers, or overpowered guns. That's because no one seems to want to give the Wii a chance when realistically it's the system with the most potential. The Wii suffers from a lack of profit potential so is ignored by Treyarch; 18 rated games do not do well on the Wii due to the family target audience. I also fail to see the potential when its running on hardware comparable to the PS2. By all accounts the controls are already good, and thats the only thing the Wii version has that could be improved. The controls are innovative for innovations sake and are not superior to the tried and tested control pad or mouse and keyboard. Its just "different"; if you like waving a remote rather than manipulating an analogue stick then thats fine.
