  1. I don't think its possible to get a 160GB PS3 outside of Japan. 80GB is the current version, so is probably the best to buy. It's relatively easy to install your own hard drive. As long as you buy a new one then no. PS3 probably wouldn't be a problem though you'd probably be only able to find a 40Gb one significantly cheaper than buying new. 360 probably not a good idea to buy a used one, as it might be one of the older ones that do have siginificant hardware problems. I'm unsure. PS3 is more likely to be able to do it though. Yes you do. Silver membership is included in the box as well as one month's trial gold mebership. Silver membership only allows you to chat and a few other things, gold is neccessary to play online. A PS3 price drop is likely so yes it would be sensible to wait, especially as there are rumours of a PS3 slim. 360 price drop is unlikely. 80Gb PS3s have backwards compatability for PS1 games only. Xbox 360s ahve backwards compatability for most Xbox games.
  2. Thank god they changed Tom Hanks hair for this one.
  3. He said he was new to the game.
  4. The James Bond, I think its On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where his wife gets shot at the end.
  5. Hopefully. I wouldn't have a problem if they weren't forced on us. I can't see vehicles really adding anything, apart from a use for RPGs.
  6. To me one of the reasons why cod4 was so good was that it didn't have vehicles.
  7. Hopefully that will turn out to be untrue. I could stand tanks if balanced right, but if vehicles feature prominently online I will simply return to cod4.
  8. It shows that you can kick [wagon]. Nah it just shows how you abuse the SMG's in every CoD game :P I like 65 no prestige. Anyone else?:P It's not even an SMG, and SMGs are only really abused on WaW. I thought 65 no prestige on WaW looked rubbish. 55 no prestige on cod4 looks ok though.
  9. Don't forget Price's awesome beard. And a big [bleep] off to vehicles. Underwater combat just wouldn't fit properly. It appears to be in the trailer, but I'd be very surprised if it was included online. Maybe incorporated into some kind of marshy map, where you could hold your breath under the water or something.
  10. Lol. We ignore posts?
  11. I ordered Battle for Middle Earth 2, as it was dirt cheap and I enjoyed the original years ago. Not really sure what to expect though, but the hero creator sounds good.
  12. I think we can just end the flaming here as it's clear to everybody that Ray has been thrashed. But then when you make a thread like this there's going to be inevitable flaming. As for the PC I think all those are good points. But for me there are 2 issues to a PC; 1. Portability. Obviously if it's a laptop then thats no issue (though it's likely to be less powerful), but you can just unplug you're console and carry it, even if it is a heavy bastard like the PS3. 2. Offline multiplayer. I find it far better to play splitscreen just sitting on a couch with a pair of controllers.
  13. I like how you're names just Ben, thats pretty impressive.
  14. I've never seen how the MP44 can be described as a brilliant gun. I think it's a functional assault rifle but is simply outclassed by the other weapons in the game. For me the no attachements really kills it, as I reckon it could be really good silenced. That said is does have no aim sway.
  15. You get what you pay for. Besides, the controllers are expensive as for most games you need a remote and nunchuck. So do the others. That makes it different not better. That doesn't really mean anything. Free for a reason, because nobody would pay for it. And by the way I dont have an Xbox. 1- You do get what you payed for. Thats why the Xbox dropped double the amount the Wii did in half the time the Wii did in Australia. 2- Fine, it has MORE games that appeal to everyone. 3- Different is better in some ways. 4- How does that not mean anything? If something grosses alot of money it means it gets alot of sales. 5- Why do you pay for XBL? Is it a better connection? It wouldnt be that much better in reality. 1. The 360 has been out for longer. 2._ 3. Then the other consoles are better in different ways and therefore equal. 4. Just because people will buy something does not mean it's great. 5. I dont pay for Xbox Live, I have a PS3. But if it was a choice between the pathetic online service of the Wii or paying for Xbox Live I would choose Xbox live every time.
  16. Whatever you say. You just really want a high postcount like mine dont you? This is the last god damn time I am doing this. 1. The wii is the cheapest console 2. It has games that appeal to everyone 3. It also has a completely different style to the other 2. 4. Nintendo, still, yeah still has the 2 highest grossing games - Mario and Pokemon. 5. Free online Take your choice against people still being sceptical about the Xbox 360, and the fact you have to pay for online, which, may not be much, it still is money. Or the over-expensive console, PS3. Hob, I dont think either of them actually care. Most people who are so avid about the Xbox just cry cause the wii has sold more consoles even though the Xbox has sold 2 to the same buyer in some cases. Yes i know you use an xbox but you dont seem to be amazingly avid and fanboy-y Once again personal attacks. You get what you pay for. Besides, the controllers are expensive as for most games you need a remote and nunchuck. So do the others. That makes it different not better. That doesn't really mean anything. Free for a reason, because nobody would pay for it. And by the way I dont have an Xbox.
  17. Again I see no rational points made, only personal attacks.
  18. Wolverine. A certain decapitation caused me to laugh out loud.
  19. I have yet to see you produce any rational comments about why the Wii is a superior console to the PS3/Xbox 360. Seconded. I have yet to see you produce any rational comments about why the Wii is a superior console to the PS3/Xbox 360. While I'm not agreeing with the 'health' factor of the Wii (i.e. Wii Fit), I do think that the Wii has more choice for developers to create unique and diverse controls for each game, whereas those with a conventional controller are limited to just the buttons (unless you have a modded Xbox 360 controller). But, in saying that, I do not think that the Wii remote makes things more 'accurate', so to speak. For example, in COD4/COD5, you can hold your breath, but in the wii Version (of COD5), it relies on the steadiness of your hand (fair enough, it isn't really hard to hold something that weighs 100g steady), so it can be less accurate. Using motion controls where they work is fine. Trying too hard to use them is not good.
  20. Last time I looked it had a 35 round clip until you unlocked the drum. I dont see why it would be different on the Wii.
  21. For me drum mag was pretty much mandatory for the PPSh, though I question the need for it on an MP40 when it could have a silencer instead. A patch for that will never come for any version. At 6 months in its too late to change.
  22. It has no hardware problems no. The point is that if you buy an Xbox now its free of the hardware problems, so is on an equal footing with the Wii.
  23. MP44=STG44 Strangely it's available on COD4 as a throwback to the earlier WW2 ones. I found the STG44 to be pretty poor on WaW though, it just didn't seem to have the power, plus it looks ridiculous when compared to the COD4 version.
  24. Go shove yer finger up yer bum. I expect that to be a Wii title some day, with the remote replacing the finger. The recent 360s no longer have serious hardware flaws due to changes in the way they are made.
  25. Thats just laughably untrue. You can use a Wii zapper on this?
