  1. After maging 800k xp worth of blue dragons at around 25k xp per hour.(its pretty afkable) The spoils

  4. I don't see how agile is usefull, it requires 90 agility and ahrims gives more defence and magic attack.
  5. *sigh* If only this were the case, but that fact is, magic is the most underpowered offensive combat skill. If you truly believe that magic is equal to range, and melée. Then I ask you to try and use only magic at ANY of the God Wars Dungeon bosses and cut a profit. I ask you to try magic on the King Black Dragon, then try range and then melee. See which style nets the most kills in one trip. Try try only using magic on the Kalphite Queen, then rang, then use Varack's. See how effective magic is on the Giant Mole. Watch the wonders of magic soloing the Corporeal Beast. Still think magic is balanced? Try to receive 500k Slayer experience using magic as your only combat style, and earn more money then you lose wile doing it (Soul Wars doesn't count). Now do you understand? Instead of just saying everything is fine, why don't you join the fight for balance? magic is underpowered in PVE but PVP it is way over powered, i mean ice barrage does about 20 damage on me per hit, plus i'm frozen. It's fine in pvp, just too expensive to be a common method of fighting.
  6. I was going to suggest a wieldable book that served this purpose,but simply pinning it to your magic level is a much better idea. Mabyee 50-75% of your lvl goes to recovery chances? Example: A lvl 70 mager gets 35-52% of their runes back.
  7. 2) Staff Improvements. Staffs should have their melee stats to 0, more mage bonus, and a hefty melee defense bonus. This way the defense bonus only benefits mages, since the staff gives no other offense other than magic. This is how it should be. Wands that give high magic attack and staffs that give high melee defence.And i hope they scrap the attack requirement for staffs too.
  8. I can think of plenty of things missing from the magic skill. Mainly the ability to actually cast spells (any spells) without sliding into the poor house. A lot of existing content can open up to the average player if spellcasting was practical gp wise. Other than the price thing, magic just needs a few tweeks and new, usefull content such as bosses, training monsters,ect. Elemental spell effects would be nice as well.

  13. I'm alsoo barraging my way to 99 magic and 79 summoning and while I don't know the numbers for bursts exactly, barraging gives me 250-300 xp per cast. When I used to burst mummies , I got 200-250 xp per cast.
  14. LIke I said sorry if I missed a few up, the rc update was terrible imo and killed 91 rc Yea,imo that update would be perfect if it included triple natures and double death/bloods.Better rune supply and an incentive to go past 91 runecrafting. win-win?

  20. I usually say this because of price concerns, but slayer dart is pretty nice xp compared to sally. It depends on preference.
  21. He's talking about magic used in pvm, not pvp. Magic is on the right path to becoming practical in pvm,cheapen spells by a ton or allow spells to use runes every few casts (similar to rangers ammo "breaking"),release non-degradable armor that gives a damage boost (I'm looking at you gwd armor that didn't happen...),and some bosses/monsters that take advantage of binds and weakening spells in mages arsenals and we'll have a good alternate combat skill to break away from the same ol' "guy in bandos with a whip training slayer" image. As for the surge spells and rc updates, they may be more accurate than godspells since elemental spells have pretty good accuracy,but we all know the advantages godspells have over it. I find it pretty illogical for jagex to release spells that require death/blood runes, then claim "With those updates, youre going to need some more runes" and increase the supply of nature runes, not the death/blood needed for these spells and plenty of other spells. Nature,astral,law,and cosmic runes were fine... EDIT: Surge spells are extremely accurate.Although they arent too good costwise, its dps is indeed the best on all types of armor.
  22. Blue dragons make twice what you spend all the time. :) If you want combat magic training, theres only 4 choices that i trust: *Soloing rex *sallying barrows/avvys *maging blue dragons *maging red dragons Decent profit and xp to be gained from all of these methods. :thumbup:
  23. IMo, just give nonmembers splitbark armor,wave spells, and snare and call it a day. Rangers will out dps them because of splitbarks low magic attack,meleers might miss on mage armor for once,and a max of 20 seems fine. Allowing wizzy mind bombs to raise damage seem fine to me as well,as there is a trade off.
