  1. It appears to be linked to xp, yes. Tip : there's a 1-click chest at SW, where you don't get randoms.
  2. 85-90 summoning & 81-86 herblore so far - almost out of unf pots now
  3. Went from 85 to 90 summoning in 50 minutes. Got 5 randoms, including the maze & the gravedigger. Time for some herblore now.
  4. Quest cape is and should be all or nothing. Either you played through all of them, and beat them, or you didnt. And to the person who proposed intermediary capes. We already have one : it's called the legends cape.
  5. The EE is one the most useful pieces of equipment i own. Make the effort. You wont regret it.
  6. I knew there was something wrong with my statement =) Thanks for clearing that up.
  7. Only when you make extreme potions, don't you lower your networth ? :)
  8. Try to do one calquat every day. It's pretty cheap xp. Replant poison ivy bushes as often as you can. The bush doesnt die & the berries give you a nice profit. Doing only one tree run a day will really speed things up. I stuck with maple & papaya throughout the whole thing.
  9. fast sc, usually on w99 (read their rules on the forums first)
  10. I love powerheating gold. It's like alching, but you get smithing xp as a bonus !
  11. I can't be sure, but i think it was firemaking that got me into all-round skilling. I was f2p at the time & the ge didnt exist. I made my first million there selling strength pots (made at the apothecary) for 1k each in varrock east bank. I was into some skills, but neglected most. I was in the habit of trading things i made for random stuff. So one day i put up some air tiaras and the other guy traded me 100 willow logs. I decided to burn them only to find that i couldnt ... i lacked the fm level. I spent the next two days leveling wc and fm and it never stopped from there. I set myself the goal of getting every skill 80+, and i'm still going at it (although i formulated some further goals along the way). When they reopened rs classic i tried out duelling & some other stuff, but i found it was fm that i got my first levels in. So there you have it, firemaking is the perfect low-threshold skill. Right now, one of my goals is getting 92 for the adze & although i have grown to like fm, i dont find it an easy skill. All of this off course doesnt negate the fact that firemaking is a fairly useless skill (even more so in f2p). But jagex have seen the light, it seems, and are trying to tie it in with as many other skills and features as possible. This cross-breeding of skills & abilities, after all, is the only thing that will keep this game alive.
  12. I always bring a macaw at spectres or banshees as it really improves your herb drops & it's fast to bank. During farm runs i take a macaw & some scrolls. Does anyone know : did they recently make a change so you cant use scrolls underground ?
  13. Make sure you use the fairy ring, too. It makes the task alot easier. Also, feel free to add me ingame. I'll lend you SS or ZS for free when i see you online.
  14. Kuradal's dungeon lets you use the ferocious ring for +4 damage on each succesful hit. Hard to beat.
  15. I think someone stated that the pendant you get during the senntisten altar quest counts for your diary. So if you're really desperate ... get questing. You're right that it shouldnt take that long, though. Took me 1 hour max back then. Good luck !
  16. Instead of breaking the 99 level barrier, which wouldnt solve as much as many ppl think, they could continue to introduce actions that require multiple skills at once, like they did with the new agility requirements for catching butterflies.
  17. You can buy another 1000 feathers inside the fishing guild.
  18. I strongly advise you to first "finish" the fairy ring in the ancient caverns (you'll need 6 bittercap mushrooms and a spade for that). The fairy ring makes it easy to escape and bank very quickly, without the loss of your familiar. The best familiar by far is the bunyip. Bring "swallow whole" scrolls. 30 or 40 should do. Wear gear with high mage def (karils or d'hide). Best weapons are sara sword & zammy spear, both on crush. Check the attack style again after using the fairy ring. Wielding the lunar staff tends to change it. I usually dont even bother with pray range, but you might find it helps. Just give it a try with and without. Good luck !
  19. At 87 def, bunyip wasnt enough to keep me fully healed. But i was using sara sword, so no def bonus from defender. I was wearing barrows, though.
  20. As to why, you need 1 banana for a fruit bat pouch, and 5 baskets to protect a curry tree.
  21. If you bring enchanted excalibur along with bunyip, you wont even need the monks. Depends on how highly you value your specs.
  22. Before i blocked them, I switched between praying and tanking them with a bunyip and swallow whole scrolls, and switched gear. I did use karil's, though. Not sure how much harder dragonhide makes tanking.
  23. I often use a macaw with herbcall scrolls and get lots of high level herbs.
  24. Also, when wielding a leaf-bladed sword, make sure to wear the cape you get from ardougne achievement diary. It adds another +6 bonus to stab (and +6 to prayer).
