I love the foreign worlds ! I sometimes go there when I get bored with the game. Find it cool to pick up "Drachenknochen" instead of just Dragon Bones. Are they still as deserted as they used to be ? Heard they got infested as well. Thanks for the answers, both of you.

I went to Taverley to try and slay some black demons with a cannon. The place is swarming with bots. When I stand in a safespot, my cannon will fire at all demons in sight. When I attack a demon with melee, it's effectively single combat with my cannon just shooting at that particular demon. So I have some questions : 1) If I stand in a safespot, will my cannon steal most of the kills ? That seems like a rather fast way of completing the task. 2) Any spots that work better than others ? 3) Will this net me faster kills than attacking the demons 1 by 1, with the help of the cannon ? 4) Would it be better to go to CT instead (normal room or resource dungeon), without a cannon but with an iron titan ? 5) Any other advice ? Thanks alot !

However, if you just want to bank while doing pyramid plunder, you're faster using a duelling ring and then the pharao's sceptre to return.

Wasn't someone on these boards collecting huge amounts of burnt fish ? Thing is, today I saw some ppl at the cooking guild throwing theirs away and I persuaded them into donating it to the cause. Was given some 900 burnt sharks & some burnt cavefish on the side. Can anyone direct me to the collector ?

Unless I'm mistaken, korasi + dragon defender has a higher crush bonus than zammy spear, so why would the spear be better at fiends ?

Apart from corp, is there any reason to keep it after you get korasi ?

Good luck with your project ! A word of warning : some randoms might ruin your plan. For example, getting the Scaperune event on the island will force you to get fishing xp ! Might want to keep a small margin.

I just got 1k noted air orbs from fire giants. Mind, this was after I finished my task and decided to stay for a few more kills.

You can get strange rocks for crafting from blowing molten glass into unpowered orbs, not just from making molten glass. I just got both rocks within 400 orbs.

For catching god jadinko's, I think the following is true : The combinations required for each god jad are random, but each has its own color of vine blossom. These also change every week, but one will have blue, an other will have green, and the third god jad will have red. So for example all 3 god jads in a given week could require an orange tree, but no god jad has the same color vine blossom as another god jad. I also believe it is the vine blossom color that triggers the hints. So for example when zammy jad requires green blossom, hints for zammy jad will only show up with green blossom planted, even if the other requirements for zammy jad are fulfilled. (Otherwise you could sometimes get hints for two or three god jads at once, which doesn't happen.) I haven't seen or read anything that disproves these observations, but I could of course be wrong.

At 82 hunter, hunting ruby harvests with camo and a bear, i got around 60-70k xp an hour (rough estimate). I found it a lot more easy than other methods : just click once, watch a movie with the other eye. What kind of rates could be expected on other butterflies ?

Fight the ones in the zamorak part of the dungeon, across the water where you lose all your prayer points. Just equip 1 zammy arrow to be safe there. Wear prayer gear and maybe bring 1 or 2 pouches of a good fighting familiar. They drop dragon boots at a rate of 1:100 or 1:120 (or so they say, i usually have terrible luck there). Falador shield is a good thing to bring for the prayer restore.

If you have varrock's armour 3, use the range in the cooking guild instead of the fire at rogue's den. You burn less food on ranges.

I'm not old school at all. I was just in time to witness free trade and the old wild. It's hard to imagine new content without new methods of training, and most of them are really good & responded to the needs of many players (zmi, living rock caverns, high level potions, ...). Some I consider mistakes : a minigame like SW should never have given out the xp it did/does, and castle's walls around rs should have stayed clear of ivy. With time I find that I relax my principles. I've recently ivied my way to a new level (for an effigy). That's not to say I don't still enjoy walking past the headbangers at an ivy wall saying "REAL men fell TREES" ;)

Another way to hit 99 when and where you want it, is to cash in penguin points with the lunar NPC contact spell.

Ok, I think this is more than bad luck. I've now tried 20 1-dose stews without getting a +2 boost in the skill I wanted. Maybe the formula at RSwiki isnt accurate (anymore) ? Did they change it overtime so that a +1 boost is a more likely result than a +2 ? I'll switch to 2-dose stews and post results. Edit : As I wrote that, I tried a 3-dose stew and got the +2 I wanted.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. The way I see it, every dose has 5 possible outcomes (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2). What I was unsure about is whether these outcomes are all equally likely. For example, it could be that a boost by 1 (either way) has twice the chance of occuring than a boost by 2. In that case, it might be better to use 2 doses. I'm no mathematician, but I take it the formula TheAncient gave (from RSwiki) means all 5 outcomes are equally likely. Thanks again ! (I must just have been unlucky with the stews I tried.)
