Also, iirc, it has a higher dps on Gargolyes than a whip does (but still loses to the rapier). It also has higher dps than the whip on dragons (at least higher level ones like red+ and metals) if you have access to super antifire potions. So basically, there's an extremely good secondary weapon for slayer if you lack chaotics. ~It's Super Effective!
