I like the idea of photoblogs, I think they would be fun to read and could become very popular. I'm thinking of creating a beginners guide to graphic art, basically outlining a few of the basic/ most common programs people use and how to get started basically. I saw that it is lightly mentioned in The Gallery rules but I think it would be easier for newcomers if it had its own sticky. Opinions?

How I usually make a board is take the rectangular tool and made a huge rectangle within the signature leaving enough space around the signature for boarder, right click, select inverse, and fill and you have yourself a boarder. example:

I like your stuff, one thing I would recommend is working your text. Except for the metriod prime sig, none of the text you choose really fix very well within the signature.

I like it, you wouldn't happen to have the original to see what you were basing it off of? I threw your picture on as my wallpaper to see what it would look like, because I'm assuming it is meant as a wallpaper and I notice that the area of the picture that I felt was the center focus point was lacking in some dots drawing my attention downwards towards the bottom rather then center of the picture.

My playstation 3 broke today when I tried to play a match on MW2. :( Luckily I bought one of those 2 year replacement plans through best buy and its still good until mid march and if I understand the policy of the plan right I should be getting the new slim 250GB PS3! My winter wasn't very cold actually, for a matter of fact our winter in Washington State was warmer then most years. It didn't snow once at my house this year and we typically get a foot or two at the least but it is also an El Nino year so winters are typically warmer because of that.

I have my doubts on that. The picture below accurately represents the underlying system architecture on the iPhone and is quite similar with OS X. If the iPad is in anyway similar, then it would be possible to listen to music while playing applications. You see in the picture a block labeled "Media." This is the layer that allows for audio and many visual codes such as Core Animation and Open GL. Because this layer is underneath the application, you are able to run it within the the application itself. Hence why the iPhone allows you to listen to music while browsing mobile Safari or playing games that take advantage of the technologies found in the layer. It's not considered multitasking to be able to do this because you're not really running two applications. What no multitasking means is that you cannot listen to a radio (AOL, Pandora, etc) while doodling around with Photoshop Mobile (whatever the application name is). You could, however, listen to music found in the iPod application while using Facebook. Hopefully your right, I'll have to dig up the article I read and reread it about multitasking. I'm going to try the military press the next time I go to the gym. I went last night but it was over crowded so I mainly did cardio and like 15 minutes on chest. What about abdominals exercises? Is there a better method then crunches because absolute hate doing crunches don't want to do them to be honest. I'm already a pretty slender guy 5'11" around 135-140 pounds so building my abdominal muscles would only be a plus.

The lips look like the've just been kinda thrown on, maybe try to darken the shadow under the lips to make them seem a little more realistic.

Contest are also a great way to try and get people involved and a way to try and a way to motivate yourself to try your best and hopefully improve overall as an artist. That is how I see contest anyways. I think you have a very valid point, when you aren't getting the necessary c/c its hard to improve or feel the need to share your work. I do appreciate all the response, I really want to try and rejuvenate The Gallery and help rebuild the community.

I read that it is not. This is one of those products that you should wait till the 2nd or 3rd generation before buying one. It doesn't have a build-in camera, you can't multitask (e.g. can't listen to music while browsing the web). There are just a hand full of little things that would have made the iPad a must buy that just aren't included in the 1st generation.

Probably has to do with all of them spawning off the original punk movement in the late 70s.

Got I got a question, what in your opinion is the best way to build my up my back muscles and my shoulders and would it be better to workout everyday or workout every other day and let my body a day of rest like I've been doing?

I definitely think they are in a slump partly to due with Kobe just not playing as well with that broken finger. I might also mention Cavs sweep the lakers this season! Last nights Cavs - Heat game was by far one of the best games I've seen in a while. I also bought a Lebron James swingman jersey last night, the one they wore when then played the lakers on thursday. By far one of the best looking Cavs jerseys I've ever seen.

When I want to relax I usually listen to some music to try and change my mood. Sometimes I just lay down on my couch and turn on a basketball game or watch one of my favorite shows if it is on. I don't usually watch movies either since I don't want to miss anything in the movie. Video games help sometimes but I often times get bored so I don't play as many video games any more to relax. Drinking and going out with my friends also is great way to relax on the weekends.

That actually isn't a reputation bar (I guess sort of it is..), its basically a way to measure how many post you have. You have 1 post you have 1 green bar you have 4,000 post you get 10 bars and I feel we don't need a system like that simply because you can just look at a users post count if that really matters to you. On a side note, suggestion of a reputation system should be added to the blacklist.

Wow i just check one of those trailers, the game looks amazing. Are there any gameplay videos around? I found one and it reminded me of Killzone 2 online but modern day setting, which I like. I'm a big fan of DICE but I'm a little iffy about buying a console version and being a Mac user I can't play PC games anymore.

That was what I was thinking and for sizing I was thinking of implementing size limits at times to spice things up. Like saying we, at some point, to do rl painting we could limit to 9x6 and like 4 colors for example.

Just wanted to say whats up, The Gallery has been sort of dead for a while so I want to try and give us life again, any ideas? I think when eggs are used it is to thicken up the batter like in pizza dough and pie crusts.

I saw those at the store the the a couple weeks ago, the sole on them isn't like any other shoe i've seen before it was quite interesting but something I would never wear.

He hasn't got anything yet. Fox is the most likely network Conan will end up on but no offers have been made, that we know about. Everything you said is just speculations and not actual facts but I do think that we will know were Conan will end up within the next month. The only problems with Fox is that they don't have a good track record with their attempts at a late night talk show but I also think that with Conan O'Brien's built-in fan base they will be much more successful then in past attempts. In the end I just hope Conan does get picked up though, by any network. Actually, Fox wanted to hire him because they want to also target the "younger audience" Yes, but they haven't made a offer that we know of yet. We know that they are highly interested in Conan but that is all know so far.
