  1. I'm a little confused but, if you have wireless why don't you get the wireless adapter for the 360?
  2. I just watched the trailer, this trailer, and about 1 min into the video it sounds like the humming.
  3. Oh, crap no. I recommend any of the Nokia N series. Ericsson may look good, but they are really low quality. I have seen cases in which a trip through the washer actually improved a phone by Nokia. I agree Nokia's are great phones, and are well worth checking out. I also have stocks in Nokia, but sadly they have seen better days before this economic "crisis". @bluelancer, I also question why some high schoolers have blackberries, because they do not have a need for all the features. I know I supported the Storm but someone my age would take great use of the phone, and its many features.
  4. Money is no issue, I'd go with the blackberry storm.
  5. If you check her youtbue page or channel or whatever they are called she has nothing but negative comments, I don't think there is anything to worry about here.
  6. Of course it works sitting in your closet. Without use, there's nothing to break. I've had problems with both iPods I've had. The screens aren't really durable, and the hard drive failure rate is around 10-20% (stats from 2005, found on Wikipedia). Plus, the screen scratches incredibly easily, as I quickly found out with both of mine. I would go with the Zune if I had to pick. It's about the same price as the iPod (at least for the 120GB model), but it's more durable, looks nicer, and can do more (FM radio anyone?). So the UI isn't perfect, it's still easy to use and get to what you want. I would much prefer a Zune over a new iPod The ipod nano uses flash memory.. And in no way its a Apple Vs. Microsoft argument either, and since you don't seem to know the Zune isn't supported on macs.
  7. Plasma is much more fragile than LCD and has less longevity, so I still would go for LCD if I were him. And you say he should go for Vizio? Yes that's affordable, but there is a reason. Like when we bought our hdtv, we had finished with the choice of an LG 780p and a Vizio 1080p. Guess which one we took --> the LG one, it had a much better picture. I found funny that it was like that since the vizio had more p and also had more contrast rate. I can't explain the results you found with the two TVs but, I really would not recommend a LCD if this TV is going to be placed in like the living room or something. I got my own LCD 21in 720p HDTV for college and it has some bad viewing angles. At my home in Washington we have like a 50in (my dad went overboard on the size, if you ask me) plasma in the living room and the thing is amazing, great picture, you can view it from all angles without losing picture quality unlike an LCD. I would definitely read that CNET article or pass it along to your dad.
  8. I'd go with a plasma instead of LCD, in my opinion they give a better picture. My basic advice is to go to a electronic store and just look at their tv selection. Vizio makes a really good affordable HDTV, but I don't know if they sell them in Canada though.
  9. I listened to it, and couldn't figure it out. What genre of films use the song in trailers? Oh and better yet what genre is the song? Is it electric? Soft rock? I couldn't tell..
  10. Wow, I had no idea there were that many burnouts.
  11. Personally I'd go with the ipod. I"m a little bias though, 4 out of the 5 portable media players I've had have been ipods and the other being a zune.
  12. Cyber Monday hasn't taken off quit like Black Friday so I wouldn't expect there to be to many sales.

Sawdust was just a collection of b-sides and rares so it wasn't an actual studio album.
  14. So far the only thing I've bought is a new Manhattan Portage Cornell messenger bag. It was 30% off, saved about $20 which was pretty nice. Don't think I'll get anything else today unless the music store closest to me is having a sale. My brother might buy all the Entourage seasons from bestbuy for like $10 each or something.
  15. Yes, it would be wise to get a harddrive for the reasons Nadril has pointed out.

I'm getting to age where Christmas for my family is just about coming together. Presents arent a big deal anymore in my family as we're all get older 20+. But I will be asking for a new battery for my macbook pro. Other then that my grandparents will end up giving me money.
  17. I don't know, what would you do? This is a typical of JP developers though.
  18. yes, we know how high school works Agreed. Everything he mentions is basically stereotypes.
  19. Yeah, freshmen are required to live in dorms. The negatives I've seen are sometimes you're viewed as a d-bag or a guy who has to buy friends and party invitations. Also, I've know a few guys who rushed this year at UGA and had to go through pretty awful hazing. But hazing shouldn't keep me from it, as thousands of people have lived through it. The people who are view as d-bags were d-bags before they joined, frats don't create d-bags. Also look into the fraternities at UGA and find one that fits you. Some are more focused around partying, others lean more towards academics, etc. If you have any friends who attend UGA ask them about the greek system and the reputation the fraternities have there.
  20. I haven't joined a frat here at ASU mainly because the greek system here is like one of the worst in the country, and the frat I would have rushed got kicked off campus till like 2010 or something. There is nothing wrong with joining a fraternity I would highly recommend rushing actually. I know a lot of people in the greek system and they all enjoy it. Making friends in college is really easy, its nothing to stress out about. You just got to be social and new found friends will come quickly. I don't know how UGA works but I would highly recommend living in the droms your freshmen year also.
  21. Well now that gas is under $2 a gallon here in the states, I'm sure were going to see a last ditch effort to push more SUVs out on the roads. I personally am all for small gas friendly cars. I feel like a hypocrite because I drive a silverado, but I was given the truck so in all honesty I really can't complain.
  22. I don't think I could put up with that at all, one brush size. Before I got my copy of PS7 I used Paint Shop Pro and all I remember of that is me not being able to get my image size to fit under the 30kb signatures limit.
  23. Oh god I need to watch Euro Trip now.
  24. Wow, I don't know what to say but your friend really needs to have something positive happen in her life. The only thing I would suggest is somehow get to her, and let her know everything is going to be alright.
  25. I've always thought of it being reality. Its been awhile since I've seen the film so I don't remember a lot of the details. I would need to re watch it to give you a more solid answer.
