  1. Not to mention there are member's only areas in the free worlds already (like the Edgeville furnace). The herb shop could simply have a lock on it saying "you must be on a member's server to access this area".
  2. 95 Pray and full Agile gets thumbs up from me.
  3. Welcome, Reinscorpion! :)
  4. Yeah, Australia has more unassuming, deadly animals than any other place I've ever heard of. That's why I've begun rethinking my plans to retire there. It's like some kind of death world from science fiction. I wonder if the British knew that when they decided to use it as a penal colony? And of course, more dancing! Edit: Page two baby!
  5. From what I remember of Runeite mining, I'm not sure it's *the* best skilling way to make money in F2P anymore. Given the current prices, I'm not even sure it's the most profitable. Mining iron or clay is much easier, doesn't require hopping worlds a thousand times and makes almost as much (if not more). Heck even basic-cut-them-at-level-1-with-a-bronze-axe logs are worth 259gp each right now. The Nuke has given F2P a lot more options for making 300k+ gp/hr than ever before.
  6. Popcorn chicken. Favorite thing to do at the end of a long day?
  7. We have had new melee weapons, Jagex didn't have to give us access to the Gravite weapons (or any of the Dungeoneering rewards).
  8. I cannot allow this blog to go 12 hours without a post.
  9. Quick find code: [qfc]25-26-187-63506974[/qfc] Page 69 This is excellent news. Here's hoping they can implement the update sooner rather than later.
  10. My God, I would kill for fps like that. I barely get 20fps in fixed mode with all the settings on minimum - and that's in quiet areas. I logged into W1 G.E. just to see what would happen and I dropped to about 3fps. It's ridiculous.
  11. Banned for dyslexia bahsing.
  12. Geeze Ambler, you had 166 whole lifepoints left. How is that close? ...do I get posting karma for poking fun atcha? :P
  13. It's actually not that hard, and it's even easier once you get your bank set (especially in P2P, you lucky devils with 6 G.E. slots). Since I've had a lot of people ask me about this, I'll explain my system. Pick a couple of items from the top 100 most traded items, preferably basic consumables like logs, raw fish, ores, runes or pure essence. You want these because you can buy the highest quantities of them, 20-25k, in 4 hrs. The higher up the list, the more that are bought/sold every day. I also like to pick items that are less than 400gp, I've found that any more than that and my system doesn't work very well. Calculate 2.5% below the current price and adjust for how much the item went up or down that day. Here's an example: Pure Essence is currently 119gp. 119 x 0.975 = 116.025, so 2.5% below current is 116gp. But it went up 2gp so 116 + 2 = 118. I'd try to buy at 118gp. When it's time to sell, it's basically the same but now you want 2.5% above the current. 119 x 1.025 = 121.975 + 2 = 123.975. I'd try to sell at 124gp. Now, I know you can buy an item and turn around and sell it immediately again but I find that takes up a lot of time. Personally, I just set up my buys for the day and let them run until I've either bought all I can, or the G.E. updates. I check Tip.It's G.E. Helper to know when. It's usually once a day. Then adjust my sell amounts for the new prices. I also tend to be fairly aggressive with my pricing, I'd rather loose a couple of gp per item and buy more and have them sell faster than wait for two days for everything to complete. If your items don't start selling within the first hour, lower the price a gp or two (this also depends on how much wiggle room you have) and try again. I like my items to sell within a couple of hours so I can get new buy offers back up as soon as possible. If you don't have a lot of gp to start with (<1M) try items under 100gp. Actually, that might be a good idea for anyone just starting. Stick to smaller items until you get the hang of it. It's slow going at first, but I found once I hit the 20M mark I was able to regularly get 1M+ in profits a day - and that was during trade restrictions. It seems complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it it's really quite easy to do and only takes a few minutes out of your day. The RuneScape toolbar is very helpful in monitoring your progress. I certainly don't miss logging in a dozen times a day just to check on the G.E.. Now, I have one final piece of advice on this: The G.E. is just like the stock market irl, prices go up and down sometimes unpredictably. Don't invest more than you're willing to lose! I've had days where I've made nearly 3M and days where I've lost over 1M. It's very rewarding, but can also be risky. I've had a lot of success, but I give no guarantees. Be sensible and use your heads and I'm sure you'll all do fine. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I'm here to help. Oh, and don't forget my 30% cut of any profits made.
  14. Lol. I used to love the Carmen Sandiego games when I was a kid. Well done on the lookalike.
  15. Well done. So proud you had to double post, eh? :P
  16. Study hard, grasshopper. Make us proud.
  17. Jazz sucks Sincerely, Manitoba Lenny Breau says "hi".
  18. @Ezk - OMG! That was awesome! I love DragonForce, but it's almost impossible to find their albums here in Canada. I've never heard an acapella version of one of their songs before. Very cool. @Will - That's impressive violin skills. Somehow very fitting for the master of fine blogging. I'm grade 7 saxophone myself. We Canucks be all about the smooth jazz.
  19. Don't think so. I haven't anyone in this topic mention it anyway. Makoto already mentioned the Midsummer Special, that took place in July 2010. The main problem with that was you needed a credit card to sign up, and were charged for a month's membership ($5.95US at the time) which you could get back if you cancelled within 7 days. If you didn't, Jagex kept the money and you got the rest of your month of membership. From what I understand, it wasn't very popular.
  20. I love it when ambient lighting causes that effect. It's beautiful and creepy all at once.
  21. Mousekeys are allowed, but technically AHK isn't because it can be adjusted too easily to make multiple outputs from one input. But I know lots of people who still use it (even though I don't) and as long as you stick to 1:1 then Jagex won't have any way of knowing. That doesn't make any sense. How is AHK "technically" not allowed, anything that follows the 1:1 is allowed. AHK is no exception. That's my mistake. I looked back and found it was my poor remembrance of a query Tip.It sent to Jagex last year had me thinking AHK in generally wasn't allowed. In fact it was a portion of a specific script being discussed that wasn't allowed (check here if you're at all interested in the question and Jagex's reply). So yes, it appears 1:1 is always allowed regardless of what program is being used.
  22. Congratulations!
  23. Wow. Well done, Sonic. How do you like training Smithing in the Artisan's Workshop? I was considering it, but it was put down in favor of superheating (the whole thing starts on p19 of my blog).
  24. The ghost cat scared everyone away. :ohnoes:
