If 99 str is so common, should I feel proud to get it?
That was a mean thing of your "friend" to say. Any 99 is an achievement and only you know how much to value it because only you know how much it cost you... and I don't mean in purely financial terms either.

Fletching, firemaking and cooking - Skillcapes of dirt?
Surely it depends on the individual player? A lot of people look down on 99 hunting; that cape is going to kill me to get because I hate hunting and I think anyone who has the patience to argue with halfwits for days on end deserves my respect. On the other hand, runecrafting was easy for me, I liked the skill and I sailed through the levels, when I got 99 I didn't feel it was any great shakes because it didn't feel like I'd worked particularly hard for it. When I finally get 99 hunting I will be dancing round my computer... mostly because I'll never have to do it again. I think it's up to you to decide how much you value your skillcapes and stuff what other people think.

How is a typical high lvl supposed to be like?
Idk how a high lvl is "supposed" to behave; I'm just me. Sometimes I have all chats off because I've had a bad day and I just want to train in peace, other days I'm in cc, doing stuff with a clan etc. because I'm in the mood for social interaction. High lvls do get stereotyped it's true, someone told me the other night that I was the exception that proved the rule, being neither rude nor arrogant. That's not true, on a bad day I can be both of those things (which is why I turn all my chats off ;)), furthermore I could be both of those things when my lvl3 self first landed in Lumbridge and I turned off my chats then too. Lvls don't have anything to do with how I interact with other players, it's the individual behind the numbers that matters. In my experience high lvl players display the same cross section of personality traits as any other section of the rs community.

Tip.It Times: 26 April 2009
Early bird: I always hop, I even hop if I was there first. I'm not going to waste my time on ill mannered people who seem unable to operate in a co-operative manner; I assume they're just children and that I'd be wasting my time trying to teach them how to share and play nicely. Their parents should be doing that. [garden tool] hum, well no doubt they're in for a nasty shock when they grow up and go out into the big bad world.

What is your biggest and best fail?
-.- Having 20m slay xp and going to slay gargoyles with a construction hammer. :wall: The really sad thing is that I've done it more than once.

Champion's Challenge (Minigame)
Is there a way to find out which scrolls you've had? I vaguely remember getting a couple early in my rs career but I'm another 99 slayer who hasn't seen a challenge scroll for years.

Some 'blogger' parent thinks RS makes kids fat
Well that was an amusing couple of minutes... there was one serious oversight though; she should have mentioned the Alfred Grimhand barcrawl... I've been on many a pub crawl since I did that in rs.

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
Oh! I have time for both RS and some serious shoe shopping. It is possible to do both =) Just call me Imelda.

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
Nobody on RS ever asks me to be their gf either.... thank god for small mercies eh? Perhaps, like me, you don't dress your pixels like a girly girl? A while ago I did an experiment by wearing different outfits when skilling and concluded that girly girl outfits garner more attention of the "be my gf" type. I found it interesting that the "she was just asking for it dressed that way" attitude was paralelled in RS. I got an A for that essay. ;)

killing gargoyles
A weapon with a crush option would be useful; they're weak to crush attacks.

31st March 2009 - Rants forum returns
I'm with you, the Recent Updates forum has been a substitute rants forum for weeks. Get them all in the same place and they can be easily avoided.

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
Following on from that I'd be interested to know whether there really proportionately more females at higher lvls than there are at lower lvls or if I just notice them. I suspect that there really are and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the average age of female players is higher than that of male players. On the matter of outfits... I've often wondered how the Bandos and Armadyl gear manages to protect Cal from anything more vicious than a tooth pick.

Playing Runescape - Taboo?
Some of my RL friends play RS so with them at least there's no problem. I don't watch TV and I suppose that RS takes up the time that other people would spend watching TV. I still have time for work, playing/practising 3 musical instruments and an offline social life. There have been discussions about some updates in the pub (wildy/pking going for example), other people might roll their eyes but they soon resume their discussions about Big Brother or Corrie and we roll ours. ;) Chacun à son goût.

Outfits.
I like the anonymity provided by my spottier cape and boots of lightness.

Quest 150
Juna was still sulking when I went to do my tears. Whinging about not fulfilling the will of Guthix or somesuch. I'd lost interest in the quest by then and I just wanted my tears so I didn't pay much attention. Have you been back to Juna since finishing the quest? She might give you some answers... then again she might not.

26th March 2009 - Development Diary
All fair points, but given the state of feverishness of some of their players Jagex might have been better starting out with something further down the development line where they could give firmer ideas of what they were developing; the suggestion that somebody made of a dd outlining the problems they've had with MA would have been ideal. Had this dd arrived in a few months' time when everyone had adjusted to no BTS and this new style of dd it might have been more appreciated. Personally, I'd prefer the BTS back but only with content that's actually ready for release, if that means a month or two without updates while they finish content for the new BTS then so be it. On the matter of this dd... I found the dwarf series irritating, I seem to recall a lot of running about with annoying puzzles thrown in. Sounds as if I'm going to get more of the same with this so I'm underwhelmed... but that's just my opinion of that quest series, other players I know are going to be pleased to know that the next dwarf quest is on its way. I just hope nobody is expecting it any time soon, mod JA has got a lot of work to do.

Weekly Poll: What 99?
My first instinct was to say rcing but that's just because I chose to do nats to 98 rather than ZMI. At 98 rc it was possible for me to get a consistent 40k+ per hour at ZMI. It isn't possible to get a consistent 40k+ slayer xp per hour so I guess it must have been slayer... but I enjoyed that a helluva lot more and it never felt like a grind. Farming and prayer are both easy and quick if you can afford it.
