Gun Control
What weapon won't kill? I think the only gun law i don't agree with is South Carolina now lets 18 year olds buy and own handguns. Concealing still is 21, but still....18? Thats a little bit extreme. If you make it 18 i'd much rather see the requirement to show valid Military ID (since you have to be 21 to be a cop anyway...and no other profession could justify owning a gun) to purchase a gun.

Do you think you'll ever kill someone?
Yes. And generally the people who intricately plan and prepare are the ones who get caught. 80% of the time, when you try to clean up a crime scene yourself to cover evidence, you leave even more clues. I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone on here, let alone many in the real world can plan the perfect murder. Science is to advanced these days. Lets say you get rid of the body, the weapon(s), all the big physical evidence....let the police place you at the scene of the crime for a minute, and your done. People have been convicted on circumstantial evidence before. All you need to do is be placed at the scene of the crime. A single witness. What about that evidence you can't clean, or neglect to clean? A shoe print in the yard or in the house, a hair that fell off your head, skin cells which are constantly shedding from your body, a fiber from your clothes that you may not see drop. A dog hair from your pet at home. It ALL can tie you to the scene, and thats evidence you can't clean up. The closest you can get to a perfect murder is to murder a random guy off the street. In most cases the murder takes place between people who know each other. And thats always where the police look first. By going outside that ring, you instantly bump up your chances of not being caught.

Absolutely. Talking about it on an Internet forum even gets you laid these days. I'm not the snitchy type, I'd still report if my friend as a fellow soldier was doing something illegal or morally questionable like torturing civilians or looting. Just because you are a cop or soldier does not mean you instantly have to defend every other cop/soldier, even if they are pedophiles or sadist freaks. Absolutely dumb to hate cops for the sake of hating them... But if they commit offences (even presidents do, why on Earth is a police officer any different?), they have to be brought to justice. I would report it too. IF i had ROCK HARD evidence against it. With this its like trying to grab a handful of air. The evidence pointing one way or another is not there, its all speculation because we havn't read the police reports, havn't seen the dash cam, were not there, and have not heard the officers side of the story. At this point in time no one on this forum can prove, beyond reasonable doubt that the officers were in the wrong. There is no clear and convincing evidence for either side. As a police officer, i am involved in the law. As such i like to look at all angles before jumping to conclusions, even if it may turn out i'm siding with the guilty party, at least give them a chance to present all the evidence before judging them. Welcome to the American court system. I pull up to a collision, its easy to assume what happened from the cars, but i still have to take a statement from both parties involved and look at the whole thing. Everyone here is SO quick to judge. Like said above, the Media is there to stir up a story, one that will get reactions like this. They don't really care whats always true, if they can twist it and bend it into their favor they will. And they will show it because you people watch it. Remember all the graphic horrible stories and reports from Iraq? Yeah, you never saw anything good during those days did you? Never saw us building schools, giving aid to families, rebuilding hospitals, installing a new water system, interacting with the kids, giving them school supplies....why? Because its boring. People don't want to watch it. They want a shock or a borderline fiction. Again, don't be so quick to judge.

Majority are, if you read above i stated that not all cops are good. But yes the majority are. I totally agree once is enough if needed or warranted, and thats what i'm trying to say, we don't even know if it was 19 times. Ultimania, a glock is more useful then a tazer? A glock may be pointed at you but in most cases its just an empty threat and the person knows this. A tazer can fulfill that threat. Lol everyone crying about cops. Must be cool to hate the police or something. Kids these days... POINT IS. If the guy had been sane and spoken clearly and conveyed what was wrong to the police, the situation probably would of never escalated. And as we all know, he didn't do that. He should of chosen his words better. The part i call BS about is no alcohol or drugs in his system.

Again, you all just assume the media and family is correct about 19 times and what happened, like we were all there. We don't honestly know everything. I think everyone is downplaying HOW the kid got there in the first place. Falling off an overpass?? You don't just fall off overpasses. As for that video, ok so the guy is in a select minority? You ever seen people on PCP? They can hardly be stopped by a brick wall. Look at the other parts of the video, thats what i want to defend. A crazy man in an airport that is very threatening and the police did what they should of done. Plus the video is biased towards the man. Its very common to pin the head, neck, and shoulders to the ground with knees btw.

If you want to get close enough to smell him be my guest, but that goes against every training class i've ever had. If you don't understand the need for a tazer you are plain [developmentally delayed]ed. Tazers replace beating people physically with batons, clubs, flashlights, as well as straight up shooting them. Mace doesn't work because it doesn't effect some people. Tazers affect everyone, and can bring the subject down without harming him. Its just like locking up your muscles, after it you can get up and walk away. You don't roll around and spasm, it locks you up. Thats why in videos you see the people drop straight away and not move. Blatant? I don't see blatant, please show me. Restraint and Arrest are two TOTALLY different things. Your A is not viable because it was just a restraint not an arrest. Officers are legally allowed to restrain you with handcuffs or other methods without you breaking the law, mainly for their safety as no one is a mind reader and no one is predictable so who knows what the crazy guy you stopped is going to do. If there is any doubt, use restraints. Your B is not viable because he's not wearing a sign that says i have a broken back. And apparently he did not tell the cops, but rather chose to utter stuff like shoot cops.

The police are usually first on the scene to anything.

How do i know he fell? I wasn't there, i just pulled up to the scene of some guy lying on the shoulder of an interstate. Lol come on. The family says they tazed him 19 times, lets see the police report or dash cam to see. I don't believe 19 times. Don't get me wrong there are bad cops out there, but we don't know the situation.

Ok ok ok. BEING an officer of the law i would like to comment on this. Lets look at this from the cops angle. What was the 911 call like? Who called? Did we hear any of this? What if it was a call of a man on or almost on the interstate, which dangers both drivers and the kid. Laying dead, walking alive....it doesn't matter he is a danger on the side of the road. Secondly he was mumbling, making weird statements it was reported. Very common with intoxication, who can be violent offenders when you try to arrest them, how were the officers supposed to know any different? Lastly, how was he laying? Where were his hands? What if his hands were under him. As an officer you don't know what a person is reaching for, even if their hand is stuck under them. How do you know he was unarmed at the time? Does anyone here have xray vision cause i sure don't. I'm not saying a tazer should of been used, but come on don't blame the cops for all of this mess. They reacted to what they thought the situation required. I carry a tazer, i have been tazed. To think this is a whole ploy or conspiracy by the police department to just brutalize someone is sketchy at best. After a tazer is discharged its department policy that a supervisor has to be called to the scene (I assume thats the case everywhere). It could of been worse. They could of jumped on top of him and his broken back to arrest him and caused more damage. I'm sure we'll hear more about this, freedom of information act will get all the dash cam videos and reports.

LOL! Seriously? No way, only Michigan fans believe that and they must be [developmentally delayed]ed honestly. Rich Rod is a HELL of a coach, he did not make you school look bad. The lack on players made your school look bad. Let the man recruit the guys he needs to run his offense and Michigan won't be stopped guaranteed. If he had his WVU team at Michigan he would of won the National Championship at least 3 years in a row. Give him time, what did you expect instant sucess? Rich Rod is still playing Lloyd Carr's class. Lloyd Carr the guy who had barely a handful of great seasons since like 2003 or 2004 and lost 4 out of the last 5 bowls Michigan played in. 2 of them with a conference championship team. Give the man time. Its not the coach thats making michigan look bad. No players at Michigan can run his Spread option type of offense. Look at what he had at Clemson, Woody Dantzler that could roll out of the pocket and run much like a Tebow or Pat White at WVU. Then look at WVU, Pat White, Noel Devine, and Steve Slaton. Thats a deadly combo in a spread offense, very deadly. Michigan doesn't have that yet. Look at Rich Rod at WVU, came in and took a WVU team to 3-8 his first year. The next year he pulls them up to 9-4, and the next year he wins a conference title. WVU is a perfect example of what he can do once he gets his recruits. Look at his coaching record at WVU. A 3-9 at Michigan is pretty similar setup to WVU isn't it? Assuming Michigan doesn't kill or run RR out of town by sheer [developmentally delayed]ation, better days are upon you. [hide=]Year - Team - Overall - Conference 2001 West Virginia 3-8 1-6 2002 West Virginia 9-4 6-1 *2003 West Virginia 8-5 6-1 *2004 West Virginia 8-4 4-2 *2005 West Virginia 11-1 7-0 Won Sugar Bowl 2006 West Virginia 11-2 5-2 Won Gator Bowl *2007 West Virginia 11-2 5-2 Won Fiesta Bowl (Beat Oklahoma by 20) * = Conference Championship[/hide] Apart from his attitude i'd give anything to have Rich Rod back at Clemson. Would should of never let him go as our OC in 2000. Huge mistake by Clemson. Should of offered him more $ and a head coaching job.

Leach just withdrew his name from Washington's opening. Thats good news and bad news for Auburn. Either that means he saw the Aubrun job pop up and is interested more in that or he is getting a hefty raise from TT. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3745354

College Football 2008
Leach is a good coach, but its a question of how much does TT want him and how much money is involved. TT is already talking contract extension. Auburn made a mistake by waiting IMO. Waited to get their name out there. Their status in the SEC should help them pull someone in but i think they waited later then they should have. Auburn should look at Gary Patterson from TCU, or Chris Petersen from Boise St. And as long shots Jimbo Fisher (FSU), Will Muschamp (Texas).

Its official. http://www.gatorbowl.com/ Gator Bowl chooses the ACC #3 team. Funny they picked Clemson right? Obviously they saw what i saw and that no one else wants to see across the country. Clemson is going bowling fellas, to a good Jan 1st bowl. Clemson is slated (Unofficially) to play Nebraska. Rematch of the 1981 National Championship. I am pumped. In other news. Tommy Tuberville is OUT as Auburn's head coach. Though its not official, it will be.

Not really. The entire top ten got screwed when Texas rose FIVE RANKS on a bye week. That was bullcrap. Agreed!

Rumor Mill! Clemson to the Gator Bowl....YEAH BABY! Possibly playing Nebraska, a rematch of our 1981 National Title game. Dabo Swinney as the new HC! Good times are upon us.

Texas didn't get screwed lol. Maybe they should of gotten some more style points. Maybe beaten teams a little bigger. Thats how Oklahoma beat them, style points.

College Football 2008
Oklahoma jumps Texas in BCS, grabs #2 spot. They also clinch a Big 12 title game shot against Missouri. Texas got pwnt. If Oklahoma wins against Missouri, they clinch a spot in the BCS title. And whoever wins the SEC title should clinch a spot. Aka Florida.

Rivalry week was great! The SEC had a complete meltdown which made the day pretty good (for the ACC). ACC went 3-1 over the SEC this weekend. Florida again looked amazing, Alabama was just good, nothing special. Florida and Bama are now #1 and #2 in the AP poll....which means the SEC title game is going to be good....for Florida. SEC Meltdowns: Clemson dominated South Carolina Wake Forrest beat the once surprising Vandy Georgia Tech completely gashed UGA Then Arkansas beats LSU AT LSU.
