So unrealistic! No where in this game do I see military members sitting around watching endless movies, playing xbox rock band, or sleeping. Modern Warfare, I call BS! ;);)

Beer has a very very strong odor especially to a trained nose. He probably could tell someone in the car had been drinking before he even saw the can/bottle. The probability of you having some other type of drink in the beer can/bottle is highly unlikely and would be stupid so he really doesn't need to sniff the beer. Kids don't be stupid like this guy. Alcohol and a car are NOT a good mix at anytime, driving or not. Hence the reason we have open container laws. We don't know he was under the BAC limit. The cop wasn't trying to get him for DUI anyway, just open container. Because sometimes the driver gets a hold of the alcohol, or is given the drink. Can have deadly results.

Not on their bandwagon. An improvement, yes no doubt...just not there yet. Made some noise with a good win but that happens at least once every year with someone. Also for the Pac-10, for being such a highly touted back, Best at Cal has not impressed AT ALL. There go his Heisman dreams.

Working as a police officer i've witnessed a lot of bad scenes. The worst one i've seen, thats burned into my mind is coming up to an accident scene on the interstate involving a semi truck, a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer, and a SUV. The SUV hit the horse trailer from behind causing it to push the truck pulling it into the back of a semi truck. Pulling up on scene on the passenger side of the vehicles, all i can see in this pickup truck is an arm hanging down, coming out from between a crushed windshield and dashboard, the upper half of her body is crushed on the dashboard by the windshield, she's not even sitting in the seat anymore. The seatbelt was dangling freely, untouched, unbuckled. That woman could of been spared that fate just by putting that belt on. The belt saves lives, theres no questions about that. And you as a cautious driver can always buy a seat belt knife or window hammer at Wal-Mart for a couple of bucks. If you are that paranoid. Attach it with some velcro or a clip on the dash somewhere or beside your seat. Some knives already have them on there. [hide=Seat Belt Cutters] [/hide]

Clemson has blown some real close games so far this year. We are literally a couple plays away from being 5-0, our offense keeps choking. Oh well, the season pushes on we can still win the ACC. My take on the last couple of weeks: SEC: Florida will lose at least 1 game if not more this year. The Auburn vs Alabama game decides the SEC West and one representative for the BCS national Title. How sick is this, instate rivalry determines who plays for a conference title and national title. I predict and dream of an Alabama vs Miami national title game Georgia fans can cry more about that penalty, their Defense lost that game for them. Pac-10 What a joke of a conference I've been really impressed with Oregon's secondary running backs after losing their starter after the first game USC and Cal both suck this year though USC is getting more done then Cal Stanford just might win the conference title ACC Miami is the real deal Florida State sucks Its ANYONE'S game right now for the ACC title, like always. Talk about conference balance. Clemson vs Miami for the ACC title Bobby Bowden is in the fight for his life at FSU, I give him 1-2 more years...1 being this year. I really enjoy watching Miami football now. I used to hate them. They play clean football, no more thugs, they are a good representation of the ACC. Something great is brewing in Miami, watch out. Big 12 Havn't heard to much noise this year Oklahoma....sucks for you huh. Miami raped OU literally in the 2nd half. And no, it wasn't just because of Bradford. I havn't payed a lot of attention to texas this year, but i havn't heard much about them either.

Until just recently in the state of South Carolina you as the driver could get a ticket if anyone in the car was not wearing a seatbelt. Now they will ticket each person individually for not wearing it. They can pull you over and ticket your friend in the passenger seat for not wearing it. Its a good law, i like it. If you want to risk your life cool, but i don't so i'll wear mine.

Good to see Miami breaking the top 25. I'm telling everyone now, watch Georgia Tech and Miami. Theres a huge storm brewing, and this Thursday it is coming ashore in Miami. GT at Miami, another great Thurs night matchup. Also, watch out for the Florida vs Tenn game....gonna be a big one in the SEC east.

Yeah it was a good game. To bad my Tigers lost. Oh well, we took a VERY VERY good #15 GT team to the wire and played good the second half. I hate that we lost but glad we are working out the kinks at the start of the season. We should be fine down the stretch.

I'm not so sure. You can't go much bigger. And in this time period, not many schools want to pay top dollar for coaches. You gotta have a very large fan base and very generous donors/alums to get that. Michigan has that, he just has to get the program rolling. WVU does not have it like Michigan does. I'd move for more money too, can't blame him. Speaking of which, Alabama just raised Nick Saban's salary. He now has a contract worth 4.7mil per year for 7 years.

BTW to the earlier poster about Rich Rod. He's a damn good coach and i HATE that Clemson let him get away before he went to WVU. We never made an offer to keep him, what a mistake. Problem with Michigan is not the coaching staff, its the lack of athletes to run Rich Rod's offensive schemes. Give him time to recruit (great recruiter) and you should see a scarey Michigan.

Annoying? Its not annoying, its called passion. Something a "real" football fan as you call them and NFL fans don't have at least on the same level. Spend a day in the south at a football game, its hard to beat that atmosphere. I agree about OKST.

Anyone watch the FSU vs Miami game tonight? I wasn't shocked. I've been telling people about Miami....a sleeping giant. They are very very young and very good, they should make some noise this year. I can see USC making noise for a top spot, but i can't see their schedule strength helping them. The teams they play are just above sub-par on average. An SEC schedule will win you BCS points everytime, usually same with a Big 12 schedule. Pac-10 just doesn't have it. USC's best chance is to stay undefeated and hope Texas, Bama, and Florida all lose late in the season. I think USC plays a few teams that are vastly overrated. My darkhorses to make a run at the top 5 are: Georgia Tech Mississippi Watch out for Miami though, they'll be jumping into the rankings very soon.

HIGHLY doubt it. The winner of the SEC will win the National Title. And thats either Bama or Florida. Both are still VERY loaded. Problem with Big 12 teams is they never play real defenses and never have real defenses. SEC defenses will eat you alive. And Bama/Florida's offenses are both very very high powered and lethal. I can't see Texas winning this year, but i can see them potentially playing for it.

Lots of ignorance in this thread. But its ok because most people have not dealt with true Muslims or the realm of Islam IRL before. I deal with them on a daily basis now, its Ramadan right now, and i had the same views as you before i was deployed. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Do i trust them all? Hell no but i don't consider them terrorists. I talk to them daily like you and i would about football or current events, i call them sir, i shake their hands. They provide us with everything here, the food, cleaning bathrooms, general services...Not all "Muslims" are bad people or terrorists. We should not group them all as one.

My problem with this is he seems to be trying to mix church and state. I have no problem with Muslims, Islam, Ramadan, any other religions....but they should not be mixed with government.

I think your Bama boys are going to have their hands full. VT is the front runner to win the ACC this year and a darkhorse for a top 5 finish overall. They should have a very good team. I'm marking down VT for a win here, i think they can pull off the upset. OKST vs UGA, i think Oklahoma St takes this one. UGA just lost to many of its playmakers. Its always tough to play a SEC team, but Oklahoma St has had a pretty strong showing the last few years. I'm looking forward to the FSU vs Miami game. Both should be very good this year, both are very young teams. This should be a game to watch. Something else i look forward to is just seeing individual teams, see how they come out. Namly, GT, UNC, Florida, etc. I'm a bit surprised to see new names in the preseason top 25, like UNC and Mississippi. Should be interesting to see how they turn out. Clemson fan myself, we should get an easy win to start this year, Middle TN St.
