  1. so many people are quitting now i love you guys <3:
  2. Took the survey. If I can, and I will try to, I will attempt to get the games I want without paying a single dime. The reason being that I know I'll beat the game within a few weeks anyway so why bother wasting any money. I also would rather play games on PC, because I don't want to buy any other consoles, and like the above, if I could emulate the console then there is no point in buying it. (Unless I really, really need the controllers.) FPS's (like Call of Duty), RTS's (like League of Legends), and platformers (like Sonic) are my favorite. Obviously they all have their frustrations, the former two mostly multiplayer-related issues, the latter thanks to difficulty spikes and bottomless pits. Tons of them.
  3. havent logged on in weeks MOAR XP WASTE. =DDDDDDD Sucks that f2p don't get to edit the wiki. Not surprised again. Oh well, RSWiki is superior to it in every way, anyway.
  4. Someone I know at school knows this code so that no matter what, you could catch ANY Pokemon at ANY health with ANY ball. I wanna know this code :( And Zaaps, your comp must really suck if you can't run LoL.
  5. I quit mainly because: 1) Most of my friends quit 2) Jagex's direction of the game 3) League of Legends I really don't know why I was so hooked onto Runescape the past 3 years. Looking back I actually regret it.
  6. Hot damn, 8:48... I wonder how quick a guide mode large (no bonus) would take.
  7. Okay I'm really really sleepy and tired at this time of writing so I can't really do much fully-fledged argumentations. But I will make some points. Honestly things like the Dwarven Army Axe and the HP bar are just trivial crap that the same trolls on RSOF complain over every single day. But this f2p hiscore removal is something that EVERYONE can relate to, and honestly I have never seen so much disapproval for one update than ever. Probably seconded to removing free trade/wildy though. Really the only reason why I played this game so much is because I honestly don't have another game to occupy my time, literally. Yep I'm just that sad. However now that I HAVE found other games to chew on (as well as finally getting a life, thank god) I have decided that Runescape is just not worth the effort anymore. I have actually quit for a few weeks before this change and thought about coming back, but this decision made by Jagex has just confirmed my initial will to quit Runescape completely. Honestly the only reason why I keep coming back over to Tip.It is because of the friends I had made there, and what I have given to the fansite itself. Sadly though, depending on how the Official Wiki will turn out, these things will go to waste. I hope XP-Waste doesn't suffer either... 58,000 people online? Last time I checked the average was 80,000 after the nuke. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Why would you consider the arguments created by those kids valid? They just rage for no goddamn reason. I myself have held back on raging for 3 goddamn years before finally breaking the final straw and letting it all loose. This is why some of my posts may appear to be troll posts for some. It's the same with those demodded players, they feel something was wrong with the game and wanted change. No matter how you look at it, it's a step in the RIGHT direction. If the masses don't care, too bad, let them suffer in that demonic hell of a game until time rots for all I care. This is why other sites like Anon and pretty much the entirety of real life laughs at Runescape. Its reputation in the past has been so bad it's basically unfixable by this point. Doesn't help that Runescape has a fanbase that is broken as heck. As far as outsider competition goes, I can already name quite a few games and franchises that can easily give Runescape a run for its money, in both free and members versions. Again I apologize if I appear to be strawmanning at certain points, it's night k?
  8. HATERS GONNA HATE i just feel like yelling that out so loud lately. idk why.
  9. Even though I won't be playing anymore, could you please add me (Sonic3190) and my skiller (Cyan Laser) to the list as well? It would still be nice to be on there :)
  10. Let's just all quit. After all, having less active players online would only hurt Jagex in the long run.
  11. Digged around this thread abit and found a shitton of epic quotes that I'm gonna treasure forever. [hide=WARNING: RATHER LONG!!!] [/hide] If there is already this much hate and disapproval on this thread I can safely say it could only be worse in other forums. I understand how every single update has everyone yelling ragequit and being glad they quit (not surprised, Jagex is a shit company anyway), but hot damn. If Jagex doesn't do anything to counter this they will lose their loyal fanbase AND their reputation. Hello? Do you want your game to die within the next year? Jagex has always been stupid, but this is honestly the stupidest move ever. This is made worse with demodding people that actually speak up and having the most awful customer support in the 21st century. I wonder what Anon would do... oh wait, Jagex is soooooo out of their league for Anon to even give a damn. <_< Also mentioned a while back... That's not even the half of it. But stupid quote limit.
  12. Absolutely agree with See's article, infact this is one of the main reasons why I have quit aswell. Runescape's free game used to get me hooked in the past 3 years, but with all the recent shit, I don't feel inclined to play as much anymore. Then hiscores are becoming a P2P-only feature. Dear god. I hope Jagex goes bankrupt within the next year.
  13. Having only a select few mods to point out the flaws of Jagex is not gonna do anything at all. What these guys need, are the support of all the fansites, as well as the recognized players of Runescape. Heck maybe even the general population of Runescape itself (despite them being dumb as heck). Jagex never realizes that some of their decisions are game-breaking and are putting themselves in immense danger. And since they're so totalitarianism-esque, we as an entire Runescape population need to act on this as a WHOLE. Just having only a select few stand up is not gonna work. Getting everyone to cancel their membership and quitting -> finding a new game to play is the only way.
  14. It's good to see more and more free players quitting, and members unsubscribing -> quitting too.
  15. Just got Sonic Generations for PC. Probably the best Sonic game I have ever played yet
  16. Why can't F2P have...? Well let's see here. Why can't F2P have a damn proper FREE game that isn't filled with pitfalls like restrictions, membership advertisements, and shit customer support. Give us a GOOD free game, Jagex. Not this pile of bullcrap.
  17. Yes, the game is free. But the "free" game has been hit by the nerfhammer so hard by Jagex that it's just not worth playing the game in its free state now. Either get members (which I don't recommend) or find another game to play.
  18. That's my birthday :o you should totally cancel your membership on that day and check out a few other games. ;)
  19. I sense this one bigger thing being... I don't know, making Runescape ENTIRELY P2P PERHAPS?!??!???!?!!!?! It makes perfect sense! :ohnoes:
  20. Everyone who is f2p right now, do yourselves a favor and quit, or find a different freeplay game to feed on. Don't pay members, it just makes things worse.
  21. Up until now, I've always been the kind who just takes what we get in a free game. However, that attitude has changed. It just seems like, the more Runescape progresses, the more Jagex tries to shut down their free-to-play fanbase, in any way possible. First was the dg xp cap. Makes no sense, you could still do it 2cb3sk and still get similar times. Useless. Next were those capes. They were PROMISED to be for everyone, but Jagex pulled off a "lolno" and made them all members only. Similar things happened to Master Runecrafter Robes. Fast forward to today (because my memory is just that tiny), where we just had the bot nuke. Jagex promised events for everyone but again, they pulled off a "lolno" and every single bonus event thus far is members. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I'm happy with all the bots removed. Then Jagex proceeds to eliminate the f2p hiscores altogether. My final straw has been blown. Runescape is not "free" anymore. If you're playing it for "free" you really should play a different free game, like League of Legends (which, by the way, is MUCH better than even p2p Runescape). Please, do yourselves a favor and quit this goddamned game. It's being run by moneyhungry dictators.
  22. If you're good at doing fast floors, selling floors are a great way to earn money dging. Me and my clan buddies have personally made millions from this, if you can find customers at a frequent rate it becomes one of the best ways to earn money (no risk).
  23. Jagex is moneyhungry -> Jagex hates f2p -> ragequit. If you want to play a free game, play League of Legends. My acc name is MCsq2, add me and hopefully we can battle someday.
  24. Before I said that I'll be temporarily quitting Runescape. Now that "temporary" has been changed to "permanent". Stop paying for RS membership goddammit, don't fall for Jagex's trap. Pay for a company that isn't so moneyhungry.
