The Cyber-Duels
Alright then.... Mather - You fall into your arena, and don't land. It seem that this arena is nothing but a neverending hole. Icu - You are taken to your arena, which seems to be a large flat area with no shadows and a large, flaming orb in the center.

The Cyber-Duels
Oh, I'll only be running this whenever Dungeoneering isn't running. Because trying to manage this and play Dungeoneering at the same time would get too hectic.

The Cyber-Duels
Alright, Mather. We just need someone else here.
-
Do you like change?
Please don't post in all color, it makes it hard to read.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Zokot, you forgot 2 steps. 5. ????? 6. Profit!

The Cyber-Duels
I'd just like to remind you all - "magic" can and will be used in this arena.
-
The Cyber-Duels
Archi - That's the beauty of this arena; things don't have to make sense. You can be a flying halibut coated in titanium wielding an electric razor for all it matters. Edit: Icu - Okay, going to add you to the roster now. Still only going to start once 2 warriors with valid builds are present.
-
The Cyber-Duels
Icu - Okay so these things are very low-armor then. As for weapons..... well, I'd say that's a somewhat medium-powered weapon. And no, I don't watch Doctor Who.
-
The Cyber-Duels
NPCs can vary widely, from rangers to mages to swordsmen to Spartans to mushrooms to animated knives to..... You get the point. And THE MASTER will not reveal anything about his abilities at the current time. Also, everyone please remember - there's a one-weapon limit. However, the weapon can have multiple uses, such as Ross's laser.
-
The Cyber-Duels
Ross - Okay then, but you're still going to be rather slow. EDIT: How dare you edit on me! Okay then, you'll probably have somewhat thin armor then. Icu - No. The arena is constantly changing, and before you know it, you'd end up coated in lava or dismembered by magic or something like that. Not to mention being under the arena would render your opponent completely incapable of hitting you, which would anger THE MASTER to the point of him obliterating you for the rest of eternity. He wants at least somewhat fair fights, y'know. Going to start putting warriors that are actually valid up on the front page...
-
The Cyber-Duels
Okay then..... you're going to be practically immobile. And you're going to have to post whatever setting the laser's on when you shoot, else I'm going to assume it's the fairly weak setting.

I don't like the concept of the double XP weekend. However, I'm still going to take part, simply because if I don't, I'm missing out on a great opportunity.
-
The Cyber-Duels
Ross - Okay, but here, the more armor you have, the less you can move. Regardless of size and other abilities. And lasers can vary in power from excessively destructive to a laser pointer. Care to tell me just how powerful this laser is?

The Cyber-Duels
Ahahaha..... This got out of hand. Probably should've put something about being at least 65kg in the rules, shouldn't I.... Well, always room for new rules... And Rocco, you always post your intended actions. However, much like Dungeoneering, things don't always go that way - I "roll" using a RNG to determine your success. Edit: I'm going to go through the thread and reply to everything in reverse chronological order by editing this. I have nothing better to do, so.... but by "everything," I'm not going to include ridiculous arguments about weapon OPness and such. Nex - A leaf would have 0 armor, thus 0 defense. Would be highly mobile. However, with no weapon, you'd have 0 weapon power, and thus not be able to attack beyond fluttering in your opponent's face before eventually being obliterated. Grim - You'll need armor. Given your higher-powered weapon (assuming you'd keep the cannon), you'd take a fair number of hits before getting a good shot. Unless, of course, you intend to dodge... Archi - Once again, no weapon = 0 weapon power. 0 * infinity = 0, so you'd do no damage. And you'd be essentially immobile until most of your armor got cut away.... Earth - Just robes, eh? You'd be highly mobile, and your weapons (whichever you choose) would be very low-power, so you'd be wanting a hit-and-run technique, as well as praying your opponent doesn't get a hit. Rocco - Pretty much the same thing I said to Earth. Sheep - Your mind and soul got cut off from your program by "THE MASTER." Basically, no hackin the game. Besides that, your armor sounds very high-powered, rendering you essentially immobile. Please rethink, else you get put in the arena against someone who can actually move. Archi again - You'd be more than immobile, if that's possible. You'd also have no weapon, so you couldn't really do squat. Mather - Strong armor, rendering you highly immobile. Also, high powered weapon means you'd be missing frequently. However, your armor would keep you from being obliterated until you manage to get a hit, in which case your opponent will probably be wounded or toast. I added a couple new rules to prevent OPness and let me keep my sanity: Limit of one weapon per fighter. Your weapon cannot be your armor, and vice versa. You MUST HAVE a form of weapon. All characters must weigh at least 65kg. With these in mind, please redesign your warriors. And please remember - this arena is not necessarily going to pertain to the laws of physics. You may end up in an anti-gravity environment, or one with no friction on the surface.

The Cyber-Duels
THIS GAME IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED. THIS THREAD IS ONLY TO REMAIN FOR HISTORICAL AND/OR LIGHT READING PURPOSES. THIS GAME WILL ONLY RUN WHENEVER DUNEONEERING ISN'T RUNNING. You find yourself in a large room. You shake your head, and the last thing you remember was accepting a job beta-testing reality simulation equipment. Suddenly, a voice booms, seemingly out of nowhere. "Welcome to the arena, you pathetic dregs of society! You will all be battling for your freedom. Whoever manages to win enough times will get to battle me, and if they manage to defeat me, that lucky one will be set free.... As for the rest of you, well.... you better hope you win." /backstory This is something of a mild cross between Dungeoneering, the old Arena thread, and a wild idea of my own. You will create your own character, and your own weapons and armor. HOWEVER. The heavier your armor, the slower your actions. However, heavier armor offers better protection. For weapons, the higher power your weapon has, the less accurate you are with it. You will be placed in an arena of my choosing against 1, 2, or maybe even 3 others. These others may be NPCs controlled by me, or they may be other players. You will both act out an action, and a random number generator as well as some of my own discretion will decide how well you do. In order to fight "THE MASTER" *cue thunder in background* you have to have a win/loss ratio of 10:1 fights. Also, after winning a fight, you may find yourself in the next battle with a shiny new piece of equipment. Other miscellaneous info: Game will start whenever the GM (who is currently just me) and at least two warriors are present. If you have to leave mid-battle against an NPC, the battle will essentially freeze. If you have to leave mid-battle against a player, the battle will cease and be called a tie. Ties do not count towards or against your win/loss record. There is plenty of magic - be creative! Sometimes your opponent is not what they seem..... All characters must weigh at least 65kg and have some form of weapon. Characters can have only one weapon, but can have as much armor as they please. Your armor may not be your weapon, and your weapon may not be your armor. Any questions, comments, or concerns, post them or PM them to me whenever. LET THE BATTLES BEGIN! P.S. I wrote this somewhat late at night for me. So that's why it lacks a coherent path of thought. Warrior roster: [hide=Rocco]Armor: Jeans and a tshirt. Meh. I changed to LordCalc back in February, and will probably go back to King Calc again once my time limit is up.

Dungeoneering
Kemios steps back and says, "Okay, sorry. What's it all for?"

Dungeoneering
Kemios sighs, and sees if there's anything he would find useful in the pile of stuff. (Without digging through it, of course.)
