Yeah, not to mention the fact that your AC system would probably be either sweat or rapid inhalation from your walls. Oh, and the number of bacteria you'd have around the house to have would be enormous, and you'd probably get very sick, very fast. And this is all without the possible "This thing is living and thus has rights" issues that may or may not come up in the government - and the protestors that would accompany them. The first I figure, you only really sweat on the outside, so not a huge issue. True, but your body comes equipped to fight off that stuff, which you can supplement, like a home security system. Also, you can just clean it like a regular house, though likely with different chemicals. If it doesn't have a brain you could argue it doesn't have a conscience and doesn't feel pain and yada yada. Technically grass is alive, but people still walk on it. First would probably have some other ill effects, like the structural foundations of your house being screwed up by pools of water + all the other wonderful stuff you get from having water laying around. Not to mention that you might have to water your house if the sweat wasn't enough. There are probably certain bacteria that are supposed to be in certain parts of your body and not others (i.e. those in your liver don't go in your lungs.) So it stands to reason that by living around a bunch of baceria, you're bound to inhale/digest something that wasn't meant to be inhaled/digested, and bam sick. If you make it brainless, it's not going to be as complex as you would want it, since there wouldn't be anything to manage the complexity.
